Feast At 316
Service was a bit off. We had a reservation but had to wait. Went to the bar to grab a drink to bring back to my wife who was sitting in a comfy chair by the front. The bartender wouldn't serve me a drink until I sat at the bar, and then servers kept trying to get my order. I just wanted a drink. Later, waitress took forever and seemed frazzled and hurried. She couldn't remember the specials. Overall we like the place but there just seemed to be an undercurrent of tension that you could feel. My wife later remarked that everyone seemed on edge.
2nd time at this restaurant. Menu is unique, which is appealing. Saturday night & only 1 server. Service was terrible, which matched the 1st time I visited this restaurant. Food was good, not excellent, and overall disorganized service is a deal breaker
This was a return trip for us, having last been at Feast At 316 in early 2018 as visitors to the area. We are now permanently located in the Vancouver area and Feast At 316 is at the top of our favorite restaurant list. Great filet mignon, terrific service, and nice ambiance in the north room in particular.
Fillet was cooked perfectly to order. Price point was a little high but not enough to prevent a return visit.
The service was outstanding, the food was farm fresh and very good. It was quite busy but we were not rushed which is what we like when we are visiting with friends.
Great restaurant, careful attention to detail in quality of food and presentation. The owners take a very active role in the food as well as all other aspects of the restaurants operation. It is rare that one or both aren't present and working hard to make the dining experience special.
Great place. Great menu. Excellent service. Eclectic decor.
Delightful food, neat atmosphere and fantastic service. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.
We have been dining at Feast 316 since it opened and have shared several special dinners there, such as birthdays. We have always enjoyed the friendly service, great food, and great drinks. This particular occasion was also a birthday. As usual the staff was attentive and friendly and our drinks were great. Unfortunately, the food was not up to its usual standard. The carbonara recipe appeared to have been changed and did not have the usual flavor or type of noodles we have had with that same dish in the past. The haddock fish and chips were also a bit greasy. We will return again and hopefully it will be better...this was our first disappointing experience there and hopefully our last.
We had requested a specific table (which we have done numerous times), but it was occupied when we arrived. Apparently they thought they could "turn" the table, but they gambled and lost. We opted for a back room of the restaurant that I didn't know existed, and the table was fine. I had a paella, which I thought was excellent. My wife had a salmon wrapped in puff pastry that she enjoyed tremendously. We shared a bread pudding for dessert, which we have enjoyed in the past. This one did not disappoint. We look forward to our next visit, hopefully at our usual table.
Food was inconsistent. We had a spectacular steak, a good, but a bit fussy, Game Hen Pot Pie (did it really need to be “deconstructed”?), and so-so pasta carbonara. Oh, and the lemon cake in the dessert was BONE dry. But the service was very agreeable and the overall experience was fine.
Food was fantastic, Service exceptional, great atmosphere
Great food!!! Cool vibes inside. Smaller than expected.
Great food, fun place. The service could have been a little better for the $$$ they charge. Other than that it was a great experience!
First time in & it was great. Shelby was very informative & helped my wife and I have a fabulous meal by making suggestions & checking in.
Excellent food and service! Would definitely go back.
Great food & service. Music not conducive and too loud for such a nice restaurant.
Great menu choices delicious starters and entrees very nice and helpful service
This was my 2nd visit. The first one was awesome, with family. This time, we were celebrating our anniversary, I put it on the reservation, it wasn't acknowledged. I didn't want anything free or anything but our server seemed pretty non existent. We saw the host more for our needs, than her. For paying almost $200 for 2 people to eat, I expected more out of service.
Have to say overall we liked this place and would recommend. However there are a few things...
I got the bone in rib eye and it was cooked perfectly and was delicious but you have to order your sides separately. For the price, a potato or something could be added...Caesar salad was extra too...which is fine cuz my husband and I split it but beware...the leaves are not cut up...just laying lengthwise on the plate. It might look good for presentation but very hard to eat as you must spend time cutting it up. The plate is not big enough to do so, lettuce kept falling off the plate! Last issue we had was with my husband's fettuccine bolognese (which he loved). It was served in a ceramic bowl that had a big chip in it! Certainly a this highly acclaimed chef could do better! There was plenty of pasta...a plate with garnish would have made this dish look generous instead if stuffed into a small chipped bowl. Missed opportunity!
I read the reviews , some good some not so good. Sadly ours is not so good. Coconut shrimp wonderful,. Rib eye steak was cooked properly, bu that was it. Fatty difficult to cut as well as difficult to chew. Could not finish my strip steak for the same reasons. But, I must say the Truffle Mac and Cheese was the greatest. The bread pudding fantastic. We did complain to Adam our waiter and they comped desert. I would have to think about t again before returning.
The ambiance was warm and transported you into a cozy place (other than the noise). As we had a drink, the noise became less of an issue😂. The server was warm and sincere. The food was off the chart delicious! The birthday dessert was fun as it was served as a stacked tower of goodness! I'd highly recommend this restaurant. You get what you pay for on every level.
Excellent food, excellent service! Get the meatloaf and bread pudding for dessert!
Food was pretty good. Service was a little slow but not terrible.
Great food, friendly servers. We had the shrimp penne, meatloaf and signature hamburger. All were very good and I would highly recommend this place.
Everything we ate was perfection! Steaks were absolutely amazing! We also tried the coconut prawns, a salad and truffle Mac and cheese. All were delicious! The server was very knowledgeable however she came across pretentious and that our mere presence annoyed her. However it would not deter me from coming back, everyone has off days. Ultimately the food was worth it!
Steak was grossly overcooked. Ordered rare, came medium well. Staff did a great job of making it up to us, though.
The acoustics are terrible. I have never been in a restaurant this loud, we almost left. But, my friend said good things, so I decided to stay.
Well, I was disappointed. I ordered the truffle fries, 2 beet salads, onion rings and coconut shrimp. There was a hint of blue cheese on the fries, little bit of truffle sauce and they were dried out. Beet salads were surprisingly small but not bad tasting. Coconut shrimp; coconut was too brown to burnt. The place is interesting looking, but quite pricey. Portions were quite disappointing.
The Tomahawk steak is absolutely amazing! It was a special dinner for a special night. Can't wait to go back!
The Paella was very good, the T Bone was slightly undercooked and just warm on delivery. The staff was nice, but maybe had too many tables to attend to, so service was slow with food and drink.
GREAT food. Good atmosphere.
Food & service was good up until ordering desert. Desert took 30 minutes to arrive & we really didn’t see our server during this wait. It put a negative impact on an otherwise delightful evening
Everything was wonderful. . . including the dessert which we did not need! We'll be back.
Terrific steak and ginger meatball soup! We're definitely going back.
Amazing food. Steaks - Great. Brussels sprouts and truffle Mac and legit! Get the smoked whiskey sour!
We had our 46th anniversary dinner at Feast 316 and enjoyed the food and location very much. The steaks were cooked correctly and all of the accompanying dishes were excellent. We were even treated to a complimentary ice cream tower and berry sauce treat. Beyond the food it is always good to see historic buildings used well and the staff knew the history of the building enough to answer our questions which was entertaining.
Service is always very good here. I think that their mixed drinks are also consistently good. The haddock was surprisingly delicious. The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection with the meat tender, moist and flaky. This dish would be over the top if the coating was not so doughy and chewy.
I made a reservation for 6 people on a normal table. we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated and we got a high top table(not Ideal). It took about 15 min to even get water and service was a bit slow the rest of the evening. The food was very tasty all around the table but I do think it was a bit overpriced for the quality. Ambiance/decor was nice, noise level was quiet and the bar selection was extensive.
We LOVE this place! We are living the keto lifestyle and there are plenty of great options here. The tomahawk steak is amazing and the specials we've had are equally great. We live about 20 miles away but always come back because of how great this place has always been. Do yourself a favor and check out their brunch sometime as well!
Second time here, one lunch and one dinner. The food preparation is excellent! Fun cocktail menu too. The dishes range from smaller portion for pastas(at least for my 20 something son), to the meat dishes were large portions. The price reflects the meat size, above average price wise. Casual, but upscale decor and environment. We will go back, but not come on a regular basis due to price.
