The food is tasteless and it's way too pricey for what you get. Went with high expectations because of the 4.5 rating but was disappointed. The service is good but the food was not. Steak was tough with not a lot of flavor, rice a bit cold and hard, color ok but flavorless. Definitely would not go back because the food is not good and I do not want to pay for poor quality.
Work related celebration
Consistently good service and fresh, good tasting food
Perfect place for dining.
I've used FAZ several times for business lunches and they never disappoint. Middle-Eastern Food is plentiful and really good and service are all experienced.
Next time you need a restaurant for business or a date I recommend FAZ.
Great food selection and service. Recently went for our group dinner.
Food was prompt. One piece of kebab chicken could have used more cooking. Everything else was great
Great place for a business lunch. Casual/ business attire. Exceptional service.
Service is always very attentive.. sometimes gets so crowded that service can slow
Food was good but the lamb was dry and tough. Chicken was great! Filet was also tough.
Always consistent delicious food with service that is impeccable.
Overpriced Valentine's day dinner. The server was very polite but overall the staff seemed overloaded. Dinner, especially steak, was mediocre and certainly not worth the price.
Nice place to go. Service is good and is not expensive !
The chicken kabob salad is amazing
While the food and service are good, if you are using the Dining Out card with the 1 free meal of lesser value formula, for whatever reason, it doesn't seem to transfer or compute when dining at Faz. The overall costs are just a few dollars less than if you paid for two meals and added a standard tip.
An iconic Silicon Valley institution that has been around forever. Based on the two business lunches in one week here it still draws a good business crowd. Food is consistent and reasonably priced, with a lot of options.
Restaurant in the Sheraton. Food was not as good as I expected (lamb kebabs were a bit dry), especially for what we paid.
I am usually a fan of Faz, however I was very disappointed with the food this time around. I ordered the salmon special with lentil basmati rice and green beans. The salmon had an avocado sauce, but everything was very bland. The lentil basmati rice was a substitution I made because I love eating it when it comes with the scallops I normally order, however, this time it also lacked flavor. The green beans were very overcooked. For an entree that was just shy of $30, it wasn't worth the price, and nothing was memorable.
Service was fine, but nothing special in any way.
I'm sad to say that I will probably not be back for a long time due to this disappointing experience.
It is not a very busy place for a Saturday evening. It appeared to have one server who also was bartender -
orders of starter and salad and entree's came out in an awkward timing. my wife had a salad but my entrée came out well before her entrée - my have been a misunderstanding with the server.
food great tasting - nice presentation -
Fine for Business Lunch...if it is not crowded, you can usually get a table without reservation. Foods are fine for business casual - not too expensive. Portion is decent.
Have always had good food with good service. Wine menu is modest.
The service was excellent and timely. The food was very good as always. I really enjoyed the salmon with pineapple. The restaurant was very busy and noisy, a bit distracting. However, if you are in Sunnyvale, I would highly recommend Faz.
The restaurant was extremely busy. Not sure why. The restaurant is very noisy, the food is mediocre and the service unacceptable. The service staff was unfriendly, not very helpful and served our pizza before our salads. Would definitely not recommend and will not be returning.
Polite, efficient staff, beyond noisy environment...nearly impossible to hold a conversation.
Large portions, good enough food.
Faz is my go-to place for business lunches. The food is always excellent and the servers are professional and discrete.
The food was ok but nothing to write home about. The service was slow and they did not do a good job of distributing parties around the space to avoid crowding.
No many Vegetarian options. Food we ordered was OK, not bad. Server introduced himself and din't show up to take the order for another 15 mins. They completely forgot to deliver the appetizer we had ordered. Totally appreciate the integrity of the server though; my husband forgot his iphone 7+ at the table and server came after us till the car to give it back.
Not vegan friendly. Was disappointed to learn that the delicious bread is made with egg wash, and the pizza crusts also contain egg and maybe dairy. We weren't expecting a special menu for Christmas since there was nothing online to indicate this. The trout on the menu was full of bones and disappointing to my daughter and son-in-law. I was able to order a Mediterranean platter (with one olive?!) and a Christmas salad holding the cheese. However, i had nothing to put the hummus on since i couldn't eat the bread. Won't be back until they offer more vegan options.
We chose Faz at the last minute for our Christmas dinner. The descriptions didn't say it was at the Sheraton Hotel so we had a hard time finding it. But, once there, we were pleasantly surprised by the good meal and friendly service. Everything was fresh and good quality, the Christmas salad was especially tasty. We will eat here again.
The food was just so so. The specialty salad, avocado and prawns, was way overpriced! The prawns were overlooked and there were only 4 in a $20 salad! The steak was over cooked, medium well, instead of the medium rare that was ordered. The lamb and ground beef "kebab" did not come on skewers! The lamb was just ok, more like mutton and the ground beef was over cooked and tough, even though it was ground it was pressed into a strip shape. Overall the experience was disappointing!
Overall, very good. Friendly and attentive staff. Wish the mezze portions were bigger, as well as, crab cakes. Crab cake sauce was meh. It was like thousand island dressing. Chicken kebab good, but seafood pasta tasted average. The sauce was thick (gooey) and the pasta was overcooked. The "seafood" should have included more than one scallop and one shrimp. Trout very good, and seemed to be the consensus at our table. Worh a return visit, but not all dishes are equal. The service was very good.
This is always a safe place to go. The food and drinks are usually good and the staff friendly. Tonight however, my friend hardly ate his meal because it had like three small nuggets of meat, and the waiter was reluctant to help us out with a cocktail menu. To top it off, the table near us felt it necessary to FaceTime during their entire meal. So, it wasn't a great experience, but I will give it another chance because I haven't had these issues before.
No idea how people are rating this place favorably. I ordered a pizza that was $18, it was the worst pizza I've ever had - soggy crust, canned sauce, cheese was barely cooked in the middle, the sausage was horribly low grade. I would have been disappointed if I paid $6 for this at Walmart. This isn't even considering that it took 30 minutes to get because they brought the wrong pizza out the first time. The wine list is awful - they're charging $12-$18 for low grade red wine that retails for $15-20 per bottle. Beyond the absurd mark-up, for anyone who knows wine these are bad $15-$20 wines at retail. I had two vodka tonics and the pizza and after tip it was a $50 meal. I never write reviews, but felt compelled to considering how awful the experience was. If this is a 4+ out of 5, what's a 2? Usually poor reviews are the result of a bad experience that may not be the norm - poor service, etc. I have no idea how my experience at this place could be so off from others - what am I missing?
Great food, great service!Brought the family for a birthday celebration, everyone enjoyed their dinner and loved the variety!
Faz is reliable and predictable. Good food, good service, at reasonable prices. Can be crowded and quite noisy. This location in Sunnyvale is convenient to meet with old business friends. Food is fresh with good healthy options. I would recommend Faz Sunnyvale.
Outstanding venue, for all purposes ''Silicon Valley hottest spot" Merry Christmas to you all...
Excellent food and service in a vibrant environment.
Good food, good service great for entertaining clients.
always consistent high quality food and service. looking forward to my next visit in a week.
