The service was good and fairly quick. However, the food was terribly bland. My husband ordered the chicken kabob and I ordered the filet mignon steak both were very disappointing entrees. If you’re looking for good flavorful food this is not the place. The experience ruined Valentines Day dinner for us.
It was very average. The server came after half an hour to take the order for the first course and drinks. In spite of letting the restaurant know about the special occasion ( my daughter’s 11th birthday which coincides with Valentine’s Day ) no special action was taken by the restaurant management. Apart from the below average service, the food was quite insignificant too. My 11 year old had ordered pork chops; the restaurant provided her regular knife whereas they should have provided steak knives. The servers were unabashedly unapologetic for the service delay.
We had our wedding reception at FAZ last year on Valentines Day so we decided to go back for our 1st wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect! The service & food were both wonderful! Thanks for the GREAT memories FAZ! We will be back.
The only thing I felt might add to our Valentine's dinner was a candle or rose/flowers on the table

The Menu at Faz is great, and the food is ok. We had reservations at 11:30 right when they opened as we were limited to an hour and a half for lunch - only 4 of us. The place was not crowded but did fill up. The service however was terrible. We got our drinks right away, but getting someone to take our order, and then finally to get the order took forever. Everyone ultimately had to leave to get back to work, and I stayed behind to pay the check. We waited for nearly 20 minutes and had to ask to have our order taken, we waited another 30 minutes for our food and had to ask as to why our food was not delivered, we had to ask for the bill. The food is not good enough to endure this amount of waiting. Not sure if they are understaffed or just slow.
Celebrated my 45th birthday, probably didn’t need to make a reservation since there were about 3 tables occupied. When I asked for our reservation of 8, the server said oh it’s ready and pointed out a table in the corner with 8 seats. But missing two sets of plates/flatware. He said he will get some but forgot about it. We had to ask the other server for the cutlery when they served the appetizers. Food was ok, curry noodle was nasty. Chicken kebab was very small portion. In the end the server claimed that there’s a party going on upstairs and he has to run up and down.
My date did not receive what was ordered and server was not as attentive as we’re used to at FAZ.
Food was very good
I took a group of people from my company and a supplier for a dinner. They had a room that seats 12, which was great for the occasion. The staff is very attentive and all of our meals came out as ordered. Prices were decent. The restaurant is also part of the Four Points Hotel premises, so that is convenient for business travelers.
The food was fine. The service was a desaster! No refills for water not ice tea ! Never got the desert menus. No follow up! No bill! Had to go to the bar to pay. Totally unaxeptable in a place that supposed to be a better restaurant! Maybe the staff was understaffed that evening? But that is no excuse for the management. We supposed to have a good evening and walked away very upset!
We enjoyed our dinner at Faz restaurant on New Years Eve. Our waiter was Alberto and he was great. Our food is always perfect. My husband and I stay at 4 points Sheraton in Pleasanton every weekend since May of 2016. We recommend both hotel and Faz to all our friends. All the waiters are great. Our breakfast buffets each morning are always with Gustavo.
Wow, the Christmas Day buffet here was outstanding, not in terms of quantity or volume of food, although it was perfectly sufficient, but rather in terms of QUALITY. My mom and I enjoyed their eggs benedict, french toast, applewood smoked bacon (I think I must have eaten ten strips of this), but we especially enjoyed the honey glazed ham with quince preserves and the prime rib with au jus and horseradish! Both the ham and prime rib were absolutely moist, delicious, and perfectly cooked, and the prime rib was perfectly medium rare, the way I like it. We had a great time at Faz, as usual, and our Christmas Day lunch here was no exception. Kudos to Faz for providing such a high quality dining experience!!!
Food was very good. First time I was at Faz and there was not a buffet. Maybe a bad night but waiter seemed more interested in serving the table next to us who were ordering lots of alcohol. He screwed up a refill on a soda took my glass before the entrees were served and never checked back on us until it was time to give us our check. He thought a free piece of cake was going to make up for a screwed up Christmas dinner. I should have sought out the manager but to be honest there are so many restaurants in theLivermore/Pleasanton area it wasn’t worth the aggravation. There are plenty of other restaurants happy to take my money.
Perhaps, we may have ordered the wrong dishes but there is nothing to really spectacular to write about. The food was nothing more than fair.
I have celebrated Holiday's at Faz on a few occasions now, but this was the first for a Christmas Eve Pre-Set menu. The food was not nearly as good as I know it can be, but it was a very busy dinner service. For the cost, I didn't feel the value was there- but it's a lovely restaurant with friendly staff and I will definitely give it another go!
It was Christmas Eve so there was a limited menu 4 people ordered the seafood pasta and loved it. I ordered the persimmon chicken which was delicious!
I was disappointed because I made 6:15 reservations and although I knew we were running late most restaurants save the table for 15 minutes. We arrived at 6:32 and our table was not available. I asked for a booth but the one they eventually gave us only seats 4 comfortably. I would have preferred a table for 5 over a booth for 4.
Service was slow but understandable since it was so busy. I’ve rated at Faz many times and always has great service.
This was our 10th or 11th time at Faz. We were there on Christmas Eve. We will never eat there again. Cocktails were fine, but we can get those anywhere. Salad was good.
I ordered the double lamb chop. It was raw! Dangerous to serve raw pork.
My husband had the New York steak. Tough. Green beans were cold. Serve was not good. Based on all this, we were afraid to order dessert. $200 with tip was wasted money. Never again.
Nothing compared to Faz Danville. It’s a low end hotel restaurant.
Even with a table of 10, the service was good, with prompt, evenly spaced service and tasty food! The team really enjoyed it.
Service was slow. Server could not give any details about a special dish for the evening when asked. Menu was very limiting. We ordered a salad and two entrees. After a very long wait, our entrees arrived. We told our server we did not receive our salad. He offered no apology. He never checked to see how our meal was. Dining room was a very cold atmosphere. Server needed to adjust the check because the salad price was not removed. We do not plan on returning.
I made Thanksgiving reservations for my dad and friends. When they arrived, instead of being shown a table in the dining room, they were taken up the elavator to a sterile business conference room. They had to sit by themselves at table made up for 9. The restaurant obviously knew they were overbooked and took the greedy route. Although the food was ok (no sliced turkey, just pieces in broth), the experience ruined the occasion.
Thanks for cooking! We really enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet - good food and friendly service.
