FAZ is a fantastic restaurant!!!
They accept Passports which is a plus.
Good food, ambience and a place to have an office get together!!
We recommend FAZ to all friends and family
Last night my family of four had Thanksgiving dinner at Faz's Thanksgiving buffet. What's the one thing that you don't want to see at a buffet? The restaurant running out of food, but Faz managed to do just that.
We had a 6 pm reservation. When we took our first run at the buffet the turkey in the serving dish was sad -- just a bunch of scraps, not a single slice of white meat turkey. My wife and kids passed it by. I found a staff person who, when asked, said, "Sure, I'll refresh it". After a short wait he brought out a beautiful platter of turkey, but my family was already seated and eating the scraps they'd dished for themselves. I was heartily thanked by other diners, but really? No one should have to ask them to bring out sliced white meat turkey at a Thanksgiving buffet.
I took an initial look at the deserts. There was a wonderful apple cobbler, sitting in a warming dish. When it was time for desert, no cobbler. "Sorry, we ran out". They did bring out some cold apple pie as a consolation prize.
The salad and side dishes were very good. Notably, the other entree beside the turkey, the prime rib was just OK. The real meat parts were good, but it was very fatty.
Finally, the service by the staff was excellent.
We still had a fun time being with each other, and there was no food prep work for us, no clean up, etc. But Faz, which is a pretty good restaurant, should've done better for $52 per person.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner (buffet style). Wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and everything was warm and rapidly replenished. Nice service from our waiter and attentive busboys cleared plates as needed. It was very crowded and loud but that kind of added to the holiday ambiance. All staff was very pleasant. Would go again.
Wonderful Thanksgiving brunch!
This was our 3rd year to do Thanksgiving at faz and by far the food was not nearly as good it was cold we had to ask for things to get refilled and the set up was very disorganized. We decided we will not be coming back next year. It was expensive for a very disappointing meal I would have rather gone to my family's house to eat period!
If you want a stress free Thanksgiving, I will highly recommend Faz. Excellent food and service.
The grilled avocado prawn salad was out of this world!!!!
Excellent service! The manager was very professional and attentive to our needs. Would book a group dinner there again.
Service was terrible! We still tipped good (>20%), but we’ll not go back!
Great location for business meetings- very quiet. Excellent quality food.
Very good food. Very good selections.
My family and I went to Faz to celebrate earning my graduation from college. We were well taken care of and the quiet atmosphere was perfect to spend time with family.
The new Family Share menu was good value and had good choices.
Meal was way overpriced. A lot of the food in the buffet was dried out. Nothing was labeled so you didn’t know what the items were. Even the coffee carafes were unlabeled so you didn’t know which contained hot water, regular or decaf. The cream and sugar were empty. The dessert level was at the bare minimum, felt like we were getting leftovers. Tables had paper on top of them. No table decorations. No high chair or booster seat for our one year old. No way was the meal worth the $300 we spent for 4 people.
The mother's day buffet was simply not very good, most things were left out too long and were overcooked and dried out. That's simply not acceptable for a $52/person buffet.
I think Mimosas should be included in the price, they make a brunch
We went for Happy Hour and then decided to stay for dinner. The food, atmosphere and entertainment were all very good. The service was excellent.
Very slow service.
Food was luke warm
Salads were good.
Pizzas tasty but barely warm.
I will not return to Faz.
The food was not tasty at all. Asked waitress if there was fresh squeezed juice as advertised on the menu. She said yes orange juice. It was not fresh squeezed. My son had the breakfast buffet. They took away the food at the buffet station before he had a chance to get a second plate. They came around once to refill the coffee before they brought the check. The ceiling corners had large cobwebs. We are not coming back.
All aspects of our meal were great. We were first guests of the evening so no noise except us for half an hour. Salmon special was delightful and Persian short ribs legendary. Faz is a go-to for us.
The service was good. Great salads and champagne. Gluten free menu would be welcomed addition.
We were there for the Easter brunch and we had a wonderful experience as we always do!
Excellent food and drinks. Great fir family dining
It depends on the occasion. I would not go for personal reason.
One, there is few vegetarian options. We were told of 2: Ravioli or Veggie Kabobs
Two, the food is okay for the price, though falafel is very good.
However, we like the ambience. It was spacious and quiet. Maybe it was Monday. This may be a good place for corporate gathering where there money is not much of an object.
The food is good, the bread is great! I ordered blackened cod but it was too Spivey for me.
Service was courteous but very slow. Our waiter disappeared after we got our food. We were in a hurry for the check and told him we had to leave but we still saw him chatting and laughing with the host. Other than that it was good.
The manager Shannon, and our waiter, were the BEST!! They made my sister-in-law's 76th birthday,
Real Special!! Thank you both, for everything!
I really recommend this restaurant, it is very good and the service is excellent!!
Nice lunch menu, very cordial service
First time at this location. Valentines Day dinner so service was slow. Serve staff was literally running around so no lack of effort. Food was excellent. Was delighted when a random server brought me sumac seasoning w/o me asking. I’m Asian looking so maybe I pronounced koobideh in a way that tipped off that it is my favorite dish. We will be back!
Service was terrible and so was the food. We had to grab our waiters attention to even order appetizers. And once we had the waiter finally at the table we order our dinner and drinks just Incase he never came back. Overall we were very disappointed.
All employees looked so confused. Seems like they were panicked and didn’t know what they need to do. From beginning to end service was really bad even after complaining to the desk manager. First didn’t so up anyone for almost 25 minutes after we were seated. Before taking order they didn’t provide drinks menu. We ordered starter, salad, entree. Even before serving drinks they served starter and salad. Then after asking for for drink order they bring drink. Asked for complimentary bread they said ok but never got it but instead we were served with our entree whereas we just started with our first starter. Imagine how embarrassed I was infront of my partner. Any way food was better than the service.
Good restaurant. I’ll go again
The server missed part of the order and didn’t come back to check on us for over 10-15 minutes. We had to wave 3 times during our time there to get the server’s attention.
Food is excellent with an atmosphere to match. Very impressive
Perfect night for a Vslentine’s day dinner. Best lamb rack and double cut pork chop in our dining history. Quince fruit with the pork was terrific
We invited a friend and we really appreciated the very friendly staff. We were surprised of the good quality of the entrees. The sample of desserts was great. Thank you
We went to Faz with some trepidation and an air of inevitability; the former since it is collocated with the Four Points Pleasanton (our experience with hotel collocated restaurants has been patchy) and the latter because it was the only one open in the vicinity at half past nine in the evening. Thankfully it turned out to be a good choice. We were the only diners at that time on a slow weekday (no question of noise) so we had the benefit of undivided attention from the service staff and the kitchen fulfilled our order in double quick time.
We stuck with salad, starters and pizza all of which were delicious. The hummus starter was exceptional with the right level of its coarseness showing expertise and attention to detail. We will perhaps reconsider the 'no hotel restaurant' position the next time we stay in Pleasanton.
Excellent service and excellent food. Ambience not the greatest.
Great Sunday brunch - NOT crowded
Good menu selection
We will return
