OUR PATIO IS WALK IN ONLY
Excellent setting, great food and cocktails !!!- Authentic Mexican cuisine with a modern touch !
I love this place.
Great food, great flavor. Not what one would expect for Mexican. Well worth a try.
Food was innovative and very good taste. They were very accommodating of vegan needs and dishes.
Wine selection was varied and very good.
We will definitely be back.
Great welcome by Rachel
Outstanding service by Caitland (sp?)
Lovely sitting on the patio.
Food was good. Oysters were off, so we sent them back. Got charged for them anyway along with another item we didn't order. All forgivable, however, our server was too busy to ever return to our table to help us with the issues. Cute vibe & decor. Too bad the service was so lacking. Sorry, there's too many awesome restaurants in Van for me me to want to give it another chance.
The lamb barbacoa was especially good - only drawback - the mescal Margarita tasted a bit watered down, but on the whole, really enjoyed it.
Always inventive meals that is delicious, well presented and an invitation to return
Fantastic service; interesting, tasty food!
Went there for special birthday - we had a fantastic evening! Food was great, server was great - we were there forever because we felt so comfortable and the food was so good!!
My friend and I celebrated our joint birthdays there. We were very well taken care of, the food was excellent and we enjoyed the experience
Everythimg was delicious! I love northwest mexican food.
We came back to this place because of the grilled cactus and it was as good as the first time. Our server, Caitlin, was very friendly and attentive. She got me another drink when I just requested for ice as I found it didn’t have enough and it was a particularly hot day so must’ve melted.
I booked a week in advance and requested a patio table but didn’t get one. Apparently, there was a waiting list and had to be there before 5pm to get one, which didn’t make sense to me. However, I will go back again when I get another craving for the grilled cactus!
Delicious - flavourful. Attentive staff. Duck was excellent! Tender and not chewy.
Food was good, but waited a long time for our order. The appetizer came out quick but our mains took a long time. If we were in more of a hurry I might have minded more but it was okay since we came there to catch up with my aunt who was visiting.
The ceviche was fresh and sparkling. The lamb belly was on the fatty side, but I think that it what they were going for. Service was attentive and prompt. The manager from Versailles was charming, and the entire experience delightful. Thank you.
Really wonderful place, full of unique, inventive food, and a very nice atmosphere and friendly, attentive, and efficient staff. The Salmon Ceviche was exquisite—possibly the best we've ever had.
Excellent food, recommend it.
Service was a little slow though.
Great location and the terrasse is very nice.
Was very impressed with the service. Each course was brought out at the perfect time. We were neither rushed or ever waiting.
Everything we ordered was really, really good, special mention for the lamb belly.
The food was very good and different than other mexican restaurants. Refreshing.
The cocktails were high quality. The atmosphere on the patio was fun and friendly not pretentious.
We loved the food! Maybe the best ceviche we have ever had, and the grilled cactus was excellent as well. The service was perfect, friendly staff, allowing the guests to spend plenty of time for choosing.
The food was good but the service was terrible. Our server barely came to our table and didn't even ask us how our food was. When we ran out of tortilla shells for our cactus dip, we had to look for our server but we couldn't after a while so we had to just ask the bus boy.
Had a great time with my family there, nice atmosphere, beautiful design, great/delicious dishes, great service. It’s not a usual Mexican dishes, which make it really interesting. You have to try Grilled Cactus with hallomi cheese.
Guacamole and chips were excellent.
Cauliflower dish was alright.
Fish dish and Rice dish were bland and again had no textural contrast at all.
This place is great for a drink and appes I think. Maybe other main dishes would have been better, they looked good on other tables.
Great ambience and service. Cocktail program is excellent and food was very good. Great overall value, would highly recommend.
Great food, great service-have the lamb , you will not be sorry you did
Everything we ordered was delicious. Great value for the quality of food and dining environment. We appreciated that there wasn’t a seating time limit, so that we could enjoy our get-together.
The food was quite salty, all of the dishes we tried were disappointing. The virgin cocktails were tasty but all the dishes didn’t have any flavour profile, just salt.
Fayuca was our best dining experience on a week-long foodie fest thru Vancouver. Every dish was spectacular but some of the standouts were the cactus (we ordered two), the lamb and the fideo. There regular menu was complemented by a delicious dessert selection. We had the tortillas (buñuelos to us Angelenos) and the strawberry rhubarb. Drinks were great and even the virgin selections were excellent. We kept refilling our canela Jamaica’s. The service was also on point and super friendly, a la Vancouver. We also had our phones out and on Shazam all night because of the fabulous background music. Best meal ever...thanks Fayuca for capping off our Vancouver trip spectacularly!
Not your typical Mexican food...great flavors and sauces...the only disappointment was the seafood stew entree which we split but seemed to be a little light on the seafood
Really good food. Atmosphere was fun and lively. Portions were on the smaller side if you were splitting them, like they suggest. Price was a bit steep.
Very fresh take on Mexican food. Wish we had it in LA!!!
Creative food but not superb in flavour or execution.
Service was average to poor.
The design and decor is like no other place in Vancouver, good energy and vibes. The food is so amazing, I wish the chef would come live with me and cook for me everyday. My life would be complete.
The food was excellent - very delicious. The staff were attentive. Our only complaint was that they could explain how things are meant to be eaten better. Would definitely eat there again.
If you're in Vancouver, go here now. The food is extraordinary. Flavorful, creative, and delicious. We ordered Guacamole with Fried Parsnips, Grilled Cauliflower with Green Adobo; Red Rice in Green Almond Sauce and Enfrijolada. For just two of us, it was one dish too many, but every dish was unique, flavorful and surprising. Subtle hints of hot spice, smoke, and fresh flavors. The cauliflower was a tad overcooked for my taste, but it was still delicious. Service staff is friendly, attentive, and well informed on all of the menu options. Freat spot for dinner and a lot of people watching.
Located in the Yaletown district of Vancouver this is listed as a mexican restaurant. I think more Latin but with a big updated twist. The food was excellent and so many different flavors. Since I am writing this review 3 weeks after our 2 week vacation in Canada I cannot remember exactly what our dishes consisted of as we only ate shared plates, but each one was off the hook. The restaurant is located in the young and up and coming revised neighborhood of Yale Town and is very much a local hangout, but you will not be disappointed.
Visited on Monday night. Not many folks. Food was well prepared and well seasoned. Sort of fusion Mexican and Canadian. Drinks have a mezcal base. It was a negroni with mezcal. Different but not to my taste. Lamb was great.
Food was all terrific! 4 of us (plus a toddler) shared a whole bunch of dishes so we got to try a variety of food, and everything was delicious and different from what you’d get in a typical Mexican restaurant. Great cocktails as well! We all really enjoyed our time there and can’t wait to come back!
The food is excellent. All dishes are interesting, tasty, well prepared and well presented. Service is ok: a few too many 'how is everything?' passes by various waiters. Meanwhile they delivered the wrong glass of wine to table, to the wrong person.
Fayuka is very good place for drinks with tapas. A good atmosphere and great location to drop in before or after a show.
But don't imagine you'll get a meal here. The portions are way too small. $200/4 people people with only 2 drinks and we all left hungry.
We shared 7 or 8 dishes and they were all phenomenal. The guacamole is outstanding! Really good margaritas too!
