Great high end Mexican brunch, eggs were a little over cooked but flavors were amazing. Could have used a little better service for as slow as they were.
Great menu that gets changes from time to time/ Not your normal mexican food. I would definitely recommend trying new things. Tuna tartar and he Scallops ceviche was my favourites.
Was pleasantly surprised trying new things I wasn't sure I was going to like. tables for two are a bit small - especially for a tasting menu - we were moving things around to fit in plates and drinks.
Our server was so good tonight. I don’t know her name but it’s hard to find service that good these days. Very impressive. The food was wonderful all around. Great flavours and unique to Vancouver. Drinks are overpriced for the size of the cocktails. They are tasty, but small with lots of ice. The super loud music at 9pm was really unfortunate. It was like that another time I was there. It’s still a restaurant and you still want to be able to talk. Will be back for the food, but not on a night with super loud music.
Expensive, Very small plate of food. To be honest, afterwards I wished we didn't go here... I was starving after and spent $60. And I'm a very petite girl..
Went for Sunday with recommendation of a friend. Found out later that she had never actually been there for brunch, only dinner....
Service was great but other than that a completely bland experience. Neither my self or my date finished our meals. Where was the Mexican spiciness? Where was the freshness?? Brunch is supposed to be a very simple meal a this was complete disappointment?
Stick with dinner which Fayuca is known for would be my recommendation.
Definitely won’t be back anytime soon...
We got there and the restaurant was closed. They didn’t answer our calls, no notice. And their social media accounts didn’t indicate it was closed.
The food was tasty but as a vegetarian I was a little disappointed: I got a huge mound of rice and 2 pieces of broccoli. I would have been VERY HAPPY with a mound of broccoli and a little rice. Also, an order of tortillas is only 2, whereas everywhere else in the WORLD serves 3 per order.
Highly recommend the cactus dish and the beef tongue. They were absolutely amazing.
Reliably delicious every time.
Great food, wonderful ambiance
While the flavours were okay, the dishes weren’t worth the menu price. There was no way the pasta was a share plate, considering it was barely enough for one person. The octopus and crispy pork belly flavours were okay, but the fluid in the bowl made the pork belly non-crispy. Added essentially a deep fried shell to the gaucamole dish, and for $5, there was no meat and it came to $18 for a dollop of guacamole. I will say the tortillas and the fried tortillas were really really good.
Always enjoy this restaurant, nice ambiance, GREAT margaritas! Cauliflower, Tuna Ceviche and Cactus are must haves.
Brunch is outstanding!!!! A must try - Carnitas Benny with hand made corn sopes delicious!! , Chilaquiles are tasty and filling, Corn pancakes OMG! full of flavour, mousturie and must be paired with a hot chocolate champurrado and you will be on heaven, Birria will wake you up spicy broth that will make crave a cold beer at 11am in a Sunday, Amazing. I went to Fayuca with my Family and share several dishes we all were very happy with our meals Flavours were delightful. Ambience was nice live music moderate noise - Good taste for music. Great place for everyone looking for unique Brunch in Vancouver
Great food and great drinks and you can actually have a conversation!!
We came early so it was very quiet. Server was casual but good. Food came fast. Michelada was great- we were still in happy hour so got 3 plates and two drinks for $35 all in. Food is super fresh and flavourful. Definitely come back when I have more time.
Food was great as always. The service was also good. I found it really loud. The music choice was good but too loud. As the evening progressed the music got louder. The music should always be in the background.
Top Noise level in this survey is considered energetic but it is actually annoying not energetic. I would not recommend this restaurant for a company of more than 2-3 people because I can not see how someone would be able to carry on a intelligent conversation. Hope this is taken seriously.
Four of us dined at dinner. We sampled six dishes. The salmon tostadas and halloumi dishes were very good. The seafood soup and pork belly dishes were good. The pasta dish with wild boar was too salty. Service was good. Patio looked delightful.
Fayuca did a great job on food, ambiance and feel!
The Service was great. I did enjoy the food but found it extremely expensive. While the menu was very creative, the food was not as good as the description made it out to be.
Over all a decent experience. I was hoping for more.
Unique, delicious Mexican cuisine. Reasonable prices. Not too noisy.
Share all the plates! Guacamole is awesome, as is cauliflower and grilled cactus. Gin cocktails are excellent, too!
Been here a few times and always loved the food unfortunately this time wasn’t up to expectations. Served raw flank steak and the service seemed slow. Maybe an off night.
Overall a lovely dining experience. Our waitress disappeared (and went off shift as we saw her in a coat after a while) and didn't offer to settle up or let us know we would have a new server. We would have purchased many more drinks, but there was no one to order from. Other than that hiccup, the food and drinks were delicious and it's great to find a restaurant that takes reservations for a party of 6 easily.
Horrible music. Boom, boom, boom. No melody, no charm, no ambience. And we had to shout to have a conversation. We mentioned this to the waiter who took no notice of our feedback. Why ask for feedback if you ignore it?
Food was very flavorful, well plated and priced well for a Yaletown restaurant. Tortillas were made to order and SO good. We ordered between 2 of us...salmon ceviche (good but small portion), cactus with haloumi cheese (our favorite and a must!!) and the lamb belly entree for 2 which was delicious and perfect for sharing. Shared flourless cake which was a great way to end the meal. The atmosphere is cozy and casual but with a cool vibe. Drink list is original but a bit pricey. Service was great. Would highly recommend. Will return again for sure next time we want classy Mexican cuisine!
Ambience was nice but food was lazy. Beef ribs dish was especially bland and uninteresting.
The taste and creativity in each dish is just amazing. Sad I didn't discover sooner. I have been there twice in three weeks and am taking friends for lunch there today.
Everything was great, except the loud music. It was so loud that we had to yell at some point.
Everything else was really nice.
Ceviche and happy hour appetizers and drinks were a great value!
The food is very delicious and unique.
The patio is romantic.
Definitely go if you're willing to try some place new and you pass by Fayuca countless of times.. try it! Went with friends on a Saturday, the ambience was nice, friendly service AND the food was amazing! It's a shareable menu, good to share with a group of ppl.
So impressed by the menu. Highly recommend the guacamole, meatballs and the fish ceviche.
Amazing food on the set menu! But service was VERY slow.
Amazing cocktails, delicious food and excellent service!
flavour explosion in every dish. 🤯
we ordered the cactus with salsa verde which is a must. if you don’t order it then what are you even doing here. we also ordered the salpicón, mussel tacos and oxtail fideo (one of the best). it was too much food for 2 people but it was so good we ate everything. for dessert we ordered the buñuelos with mango, it is so delicious and fresh it’s absurd that i don’t have this everyday.
the tortillas are so good, you can actually feel the love in them. they are the real deal.
we sat at a gorgeous table and i could see into the kitchen, those people have such a good vibe, just radiant, like they know they’re making delicious food and yet they’re still so cool looking and chill about it.
next time i go (soon) i will give my compliments to the chef. and also my number.
Excellent setting, great food and cocktails !!!- Authentic Mexican cuisine with a modern touch !
I love this place.
Great food, great flavor. Not what one would expect for Mexican. Well worth a try.
Food was innovative and very good taste. They were very accommodating of vegan needs and dishes.
Wine selection was varied and very good.
We will definitely be back.
Great welcome by Rachel
Outstanding service by Caitland (sp?)
Lovely sitting on the patio.
Food was good. Oysters were off, so we sent them back. Got charged for them anyway along with another item we didn't order. All forgivable, however, our server was too busy to ever return to our table to help us with the issues. Cute vibe & decor. Too bad the service was so lacking. Sorry, there's too many awesome restaurants in Van for me me to want to give it another chance.
