Awesome atmosphere, no unlimited mimosas option for flavored mimosas but still a good price for brunch. During the colder months, it'd be hard to accommodate a group larger than about ten. I live for brunch and the open face biscuit alone places this place in my top five choices.
My family of four dined at Fat Rabbit following How the Grinch Stole CHristmas at AT&T Performing Arts Center. I was happy to find a place close by, with a menu suitable for teens as well as adults and a fun drink menu. We were looking forward to a fun and festive holiday outing. Our table was set up and ready upon arrival and we were thankful given one teen had turned hangry. I ordered the Wild Hare to start and it was cold and sweet.
I’m sad to say that our service was deplorable. Our waiter was apathetic, slow and not interested in offering a nice dining experience. We had to round up silverware from other set tables on our own, because out appetizer of fried cheese wedges was starting to chill and our waiter was nowhere to be found. The appetizer was good, even if we had no napkin with which to wipe our hands. At one point, out waiter had been missing in action for so long that we approached the hostess to ask her to find him. No drink refills and no meal order was taken for a good 25 minutes after dropping off the appetizer. Even knowing we were irritated, his pace did not pick up. My cheesy bacon grilled cheese was over-done and dry. My husbands pulled pork sandwich was such a mess he had to eat it with fork and knife. The kids did say their burgers were good. Basically, we spent $100 on grilled cheese and burgers with some of the worst service I can recall. It’s a shame, too, because the restaurant is cute and its in a great area. I will say, as we were headed out a neighboring table seemed to be enjoying much better service than we experienced.
Food quality was decent but not as good as expected. Good service and atmosphere.
The waitress was extremely nice. No one gave us any issues because we altered from our reservations and had dinner outside instead of inside. They were very flexible with seating, making sure we were comfortable with the temperature. It was a little windy but we were seated near heaters. The food was delicious! Very flavorful! The sweet thai chile brussel sprouts were the absolute best I have ever tried!
Sliders to die for
Brunch was awesome! Food great!
Great place to start and end a night out.
Wait staff took our drinks before we finished. Didn’t even ask.
Great service. Great food.
Fantastic pulled pork sandwich, great drinks on the tap
First visit-too much street noise to sit outside. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Good food reasonably priced.
Recommended by the Concierge at my hotel and was extremely disappointed. The cucumber cocktail was weak and had no cucumber...seemed watered down, Rib Eye Street Tacos was tasteless, dried out shaved tiny pieces of meat...doubt if it was Rib Eye. Cochinita Tacos was better but still no flavor. My niece had the Margherita Flatbread...the sauce tasted like catch-up....BIG DISAPPOINTMENT AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
This place I liked a lot but I made a reservation for 11 on OpenTable and then when we got there they said they only had flat breads or wings to order. So we got a flat break and it was awesome and good size. Just a little annoyed they didn't have the full menu open especially since I made a reservation. Overall, despite that I think it is a cool place and I will be back!
Enjoyed celebrating with my friend and her mom, actually was I was celebrating my Mom's birthday (she would have been 69 on 9-30-17).
Great food and atmosphere!
Descent service, terrible food, awful club music (very loud, impossible to have a conversation), cocktails are a joke - typical uptown Dallas bar! Never ever again!
Great Service with waiter(s). Great ambiance for brunch, so we will definitely be returning.
The food was good the waiter was nice the host was excellent i live in Arlington i would make that drive again to eat at the fat rabbit 5 stars all around
This is the second time we are back at Fat Rabbit. Purposely ordering different items to try. Pork sliders - the bun to die for. Brussel Sprouts very yummy.
We will be back again!
Food was excellent! Waitress was excellent! Music...WAY TOO LOUD! Even my 22 year old and her boyfriend found it LOUD!
The good was ok and the service was great i would go back for sure with friends.Loved the vibe!
Never been to this part of town before and wanted a good spot with reasonably priced food and drink. Both were met and had excellent service to boot. Highly recommend for anyone looking for the same. We sat outside and it was great.
Great food great service! We had a party of six which isn't easy but Raphael did a great job ! Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and will return !
We arrived promptly for our reservation after having confirmed 3 separate times with the restaurant (they called and emailed us for confirmation). We were shown a table right next to the musician who was using one of the tables' chairs to sit on. I requested that we be moved to a quieter location. The Hostess told me that there were no other tables available inside (which was simply not true) and seated us outside without heaters and it was chilly. As she was showing us outside another diner asked to speak to her and was then moved inside. We had taken the trouble to make a reservation well in advance and felt that the hostess should have been more accommodating. Our meal was served cold and the poached eggs were hard. Our waitress was nice, but we will not return. We are frequent diners in Dallas and were very disappointed in this experience.
Always enjoy a new brunch place for Sunday afternoon. Their mimosas are awesome, as well as their food. Had a wonderful time and most certainly will be back.
This was my first time at this location for brunch. I was really impressed with the set up and vibe of the place. The menu does not have a lot of options (if you need that) but they have so good options and nice portions. The waitress informed me that there was a good night life and happy hour so I am curious to return to that. Either way you should try Fat Rabbit, it is definitely a nice location to hang out with friends.
Waitress was super sweet and attentive, but it was loud and the food was mediocre.
Cute bar with an awesome patio. Food was good but service could definitely be better. The waitress was overwhelmed and not attentive ev n though it was not that busy. However had a great time and loved that they were they only place in town that hosted a viewing party for "The Bachelor" finale.
The staff was very friendly. I made reservations bc I hate to wait. As soon as we walked up we were seated. The presentation of the chicken and waffles was awesome. Although it was a bit cold and chicken lacked seasoning. I would still recommend this restaurant for a girls brunch or happy hour spot. The drinks were really good. I can't give it 5 stars bc of the lack of taste and temp of my food. I would go back and recommend my friends to Fat Rabbit.
Reserved a table for a group of 5 to watch the UFC fight. Got the best table in the house. The crowd was great and so were the vibes. Our waitress was there taking great care of us. The food and the drinks are extremely good. Favorite spot in uptown during the week and weekend.
We so wanted to love this place but it was just average. The service was okay, the food mediocre but the drinks were delicious and the outdoor patio was perfect on a spring night.
Business associate and I went late after arriving at Love Field. The staff was friendly and attentive. Love the drinks with big ice cubes. We ate from the small plates/apps and it was perfect for the late hour - hummus to die for - appreciated the fresh veg for dipping, deviled eggs and spicy sausage flatbread - all winners! Noisy on the inside, nice on the outside.
We'll be back!
We were hoping for a nice evening without the kids. Wrong place for us. We were seated by the bar and waited 10-15 minutes for the server and then walked out. We found a more appropriate spot down the street. The place seems perfect for drinking/bro'ing it up/crushing it/being clutch, not for dinner.
Doesnt take much to make me happy.... Food snobs drive me fucking crazy. Eat your food, have a drink, pay your bill and move on.
Excellent experience overall. The cutest waitresses in Dallas
Chicken and waffles are great. Unlimited mimosas are a good deal as well, but Bloody Mary bar leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely would recommend it for brunch.
This was a perfect location for brunch on Valentine's day. My wife loved the waffles and I had the Cuban Sandwich. The endless mimosa worked well for us.
Fun atmosphere. Limited food selection but they had a nice variety.
One of my favorite places on McKinney Ave. The jalepeno margaritas are delicious and their bar bites are perfect for quick meals or just hanging out for drinks. The waitresses are great and know the menu very well.
Have always been happy with Fat Rabbit, whether dining in or there just to drink, however was disappointed in our server... Our appetizer was completely forgotten about and when asked about it was to late to want the appetizer as your entrées were coming out shortly. However no credit or anything was offered. Rather upset since it was vday weekend, you would expect servers to be on there a-game.
