Take a culinary trip to Naples, Italy at Fat Olives. This contemporary trattoria is famous for its authentic, Neapolitan-style pies baked in a wood-fired oven using traditional techniques. Voted Best of Flag, the menu at Fat Olives also features pasta dishes, a special kid menu and gluten-free fare so no one is left out.

Fat Olives is the perfect destination for the pizza gourmand. The culinary team prides itself on using tomatoes imported from San Marzano for authentic results. Ask for the daily special or order the Belgio Dolce for delicious fusion of imported salami, brussel sprouts, house-made Calabrian chili oil and local honey. Complement it with a house made tiramisu or a bottle of wine. The bar offers a wide range of vintages, served by the bottle or glass. Fat Olives is open Mondays through Sundays with daily happy hour from 2:00-5:00.

1.Waited 35 min with a reservation. And 10 min before seeing anyone at our table (in a Monday night) 2. Saw our drinks from the bar sit at the bar for 20 minutes (timed it) before we got up and got them ourselves 3. Waiter was told that one in our party has a SEVERE and life threatening allergy to egg and peanut. First, he gives an “I think it’s ok” answer. After we asked him to please check, he comes back and said he’s been googling it and trying to find pasta boxes. He announces,” no egg in anything. Then the next time he comes to the table tells us ALL the pasta has egg. Why not send a manager or ask the chef? 4. When ordering salad- waiter tells us there is no arugula. So, we ask for 2 salads romaine substitute on the arugula salad. No onion. Salad comes out at the end of the meal. One HAS arugula. The other doesn’t- but does have onion. 5. Had to ask for one of our main dishes and all the salads repeatedly. Waters and drinks never tended to. 6. Staff was put out, but they caused the issues that led to the frustration. I still left a 10% tip because I understand it’s not JUST The waiter or kitchen or hostess fault. But, the whole thing felt like the restaurant was overwhelmed and unprofessional. I cannot see myself ever going back and definitely would not ever bring guests or trust this restaurant with any food allergies.

Food good as always, we keep coming back whenever we’re visiting, a family favorite. What is that service tax, let customers choose to give gratis. Not a fan.

First time here and it was delicious! We got the burrata appetizer, a Cesar salad and Ms. Piggy pie. All of them were so flavorful and crave worthy! Can’t wait to go back!
