Wonderful service and food! Great for groups and families. Also good date night place

Came across this place via google search for reasonably priced places in Sausalito. Food was terrific, fairly priced and served quickly and pleasantly.

Was so good, we came back two nights later and were similarly impressed.

Burgers, mac n cheese, duck confit and salads were all done perfectly. Worth the visit.

Hugh quality food, well prepared, and the service was friendly and attentive.

Excellent meal, great service. Will go back for sure!

We came for Valentines dinner. The place was very loud, too loud really as the table next to us could not hear eachother talk and neither could we. The food was good though.

Loved the onion burger. Nice wine list too. Several really interesting salads.

Wonderful find in Sausalito. We felt like we were back in Paris. We'll be back again!

Very good experience

Steak was chewy, too chewy to eat most of it. When the waiter was informed, the response was, yeah, that's a tough cut.

The perfect Friday night spot for a casual, yet tasty dinner with pals.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food when we went for dinner recently. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The server could have been more attentive as we needed to ask for drink refills a few times with their sparse visits to our table, but the food and overall attitudes were great!

Do not expect anything to happen "Fast" at Fast Food Francais. First, we were seated 40 minutes after our scheduled reservation. That might have been taken care of with a round of drinks or a comped appetizer, but nothing was offered. Nothing changed once we were seated. Sloooow service. Plates were not cleared. Drinks had to be repeatedly asked for. Despite enjoying their food, especially the Brussels sprouts and Cobb Salad, this once "go to place" for us is no more.

Fabulous! We will be regulars!❤️ Bar and food outstanding, Mac and chees out of this world. French onion soup insanely great and vegetarian base. Service was speedy and flawless, we came on a recommendation and left wanting to come back tomorrow. A great place.

When they first open it was a wonderful french restaurant, however in the past 2 years the service and food declined and so stopped going .

The best hamburgers, green beans, brussel sprouts and fried mashed potatoes!!!

Seated immediately. Fun and interesting selections on drink and lunch menus. Staff was very nice and friendly, but the service could be better (maybe inexperienced?) We ordered mixed drinks from the house specialty menu and it took a long time to have them ready. Our lunch came out before our drinks. The Croque Madame was excellent.

It has been about six months since my last visit there. But the food is good, however I feel like it used to be better. It used to feel and taste more gastro pub-y and edgy vs now where it feels a little more mainstream. Service ambiance are all good, and prices are not bad. My biggest gripe is the lack of parking in this part of Sausalito. If you park on any of the side residential streets there's no parking after 6pm without permit. Street parking is almost all taken and the public parking lot is kinda far away.

This was our first visit and we feel we found another great place to eat out in our home city .
We both had Brunch items; their special Benedict and the only omelette on the menu. The omelet was stuffed with ratatouille and goat cheese. For me there was too much oil used and it ran out covering the side of potatoes. Both our entrees came with the house potatoes which were seasoned with varied spices and cloves of garlic so if you don't like garlic with eggs or in general, maybe ask for a substitute. I asked our waiter if they varied the omeletes and he said no, but if I wanted they could go lite next time with the goat cheese and ratatouille which I will do. It was really rich ; I'd rather have a variety or at least one more omelette choice...hubby loved his Benedict. It used biscuits not E muffins, fried green tomatoes, regular bacon and a tomato hollandaise. Yummy. I didn't get a bread choice with my omelette so next time I will order some. I just feel eggs need toast and a good jam to complete it. I saw a few other dishes and feel what we ordered looked the best...but I want to try the Avacado toast and the salmon.
Their coffee is very very good but we were served milk not cream ( a pet peeve of mine- give me real cream:):) still I'd drink it black it's that good.
Service was a bit sketchy but everyone was very nice. I think they just needed more wait staff because our waiter had to bartend and seat people so he was busy.
To sum up, we definitely plan to return and try more and more menu items! I liked sitting at the window looking out at walker by's. They have several tables outside if you prefer and the restaurant has plenty of seating. Rest rooms are up stairs but they have a small lift if you are like me and cannot do stairs. I appreciate that.

Exceptional in all categories!

Very understaffed. Server did the best he could considering he was acting as host, bartender and practically the only one waiting tables . (there was a young woman employee, as well, but her duties seem to be limited.) If it had been my first time there (it wasn't)I probably would not return. One would expect more from experienced restauranters.

Took friends for lunch - first time for all. Attentive service, good menu options, surprisingly large portions (the French don't do that like we do) all were a la carte, of course and delicious. The curbside seating worked for our lunch - it was a sunny day, however, I'm looking forward to the dining room next time.
I will be back and so will my friends.

We had a delicious meal at F3 on Friday night after a wine and cheese event locally. The burgers were delicious and the service very good.

FFF is a solid choice--great burgers, goiod atmosphere. Not too noisy, and the food is just comforting.

F3 is my go to place in Sausalito for good food and good service which is why I was hosting a group for dinner. Unfortunately, this time there was only one server for the entire restaurant as well as the street side tables. She did her best but we were a party of 7 and the rest of the place was pretty full as well. Most of the food was delicious, as always, but the duck confit parmentier was dry. It won't stop me from going back because I still love the food and the place and this is the first time I've ever had anything to gripe about at all.

We've been to FFF once before and enjoyed the food and ambience, so we came back. This time we were sorely disappointed by the service. We were seated and greeted by our waitress, indicating she would be right with us. Other tables were seated and orders taken, while we waited. The table next to us were finishing up their meal, ordered dessert & coffee. We finally asked a bus boy for some water. The table next to us paid their bill and a new couple was seated next to us. We had by then had an opportunity to order our food. The table next to us had ordered their food as well and got their appetizer while we waited. The table next to us got their main dish. So I flagged down our waitress and asked when we would be getting our food. She responded that she had put the food order in and it should be coming soon. No apologies for the delay, no taking responsibility for any problems, but instead very defensive. We were not rude or demanding when we inquired about our food, so their was no reason for her to get upset at us. Our food finally came while our neighbors were paying their bill. I feel like our waitress just totally forgot about us and was not willing to own up to it. We would have been fine had she apologized, maybe comped us for something. We left with a bad feeling about the restaurant and will not be so quick to return.

The food was pretty good, everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. The service was bad to put it mildly. Our server took our drink order, then disappeared for almost 15 minutes. There were only a few other tables seated, all within our sight, so he wasn't tending to them. Less than 5 minutes after he finally took our food order, another server came by and delivered 4 plates. We were amazed at how fast it was, until we realized it wasn't our order. He took them away, and we waited for ours. As we started to eat, 2 in our party wanted French bread. Again, we had to wait to get our servers attention. As far as the ugly, I guess you could classify the service as that as well, but I'll take that moniker. It certainly wasn't the hostess, what a beauty she was!

Due to the Warriors game, the noise level was high but I don't mind about it. Foods were good but the steak was little tough.

Have been here several times before but not for about 9 months.First, we were surprised at how empty it was. Two couples with noisy kids were the only other patrons. The merguez appetizer was tasty, but an uninspired presentation of just four small lonely pieces of sausage in a small bowl - no garnish, no aioli - - it didn't excite. I was most disappointed with the Duck Confit Parmentier. Granted, a "parmentier" dish involves potato, but there wasn't a whole lot more in this dish. With effort, one could discover a few overcooked pieces of duck buried in the ramekin, but the dish was essentially potato pie with a little cheese on top. The wine list seems to have been pared down to minimal choices, although the Bordeaux was a drinkable food wine. All in all, I think this was the last visit to F3 for us.

This is the only restaurant I frequent in Sausalito and has been since they opened. I love everything about it; atmosphere, food, friendly efficient service, and wonderful owners. I took some friend from out of town there on Saturday night. Everyone loved it as is the case whenever I take someone there who hasn't been. The owners hire exceptional servers and hosts. Their garden in the back appeals to me because I was raised on a farm!

We (group of 4) ordered several of the starters and were eminently satisfied.

Like casualness

Whenever I have the opportunity to go to F3 I'm there like a shot. It is a tiny bit expensive but the food is spectacular. They had a coq au vin special at lunch ... I would usually not eat something that heavy at lunch but he said it was worth trying. And so I did... worth every calorie. The sauce tasted of the hours that had to have gone into it to have that deep rich buttery mouth feel. It was a healthy portion and served over perfectly done polenta. And just to add insult to injury I had the mousse which really a pot de creme.... soooo rich and velvety smooth chocolate with creme fraiche instead of whipped cream..... perfection.

Nice dinner and they easily accommodated a large party. Should have asked for real, not vegan, cheese on the ratatouille but that's on me. Don't bother with the grilled bread, meh.

Worst service ever. Didn't get even water let alone a drink for about 30 mins. Next they only brought 2 of the 4 meals ordered and we had to wait over 20 mins for the last person to get their meal. Even though the food was good I will never go back. There's lots of good food and better service close by!

All items on the menu are tasty. The beef in the burger is quality. The pommes dauphines are ethereal! Must have a few of those, if you dine here.

Delicious food, excellent service . I took my cousin from Tahoe and he loved it. It was his first time at the restaurant and he raved about his salad.

I was looking for a last minute place to take a friend for lunch in Sausalito where there is parking and it is not overrun with tourists. Fortunately I remembered F3. They were as helpful as ever and the food was as delicious as I remembered it which is not always the case. I'm always happy there. My secret choice is to take their bavette and put it over their Brussels Sprouts chips... can't be beat!

My wife and I went for lunch midweek. The restaurant has a bright, pleasant interior, a nice bar area, an efficient staff, a decent selection of wines by the glass, carafe, and bottle. I am happy to report that you will find salt and pepper shakers on the table. Apparently the spreading malady SPSDD (salt and pepper shaker deficiency disorder) has not yet afflicted this restaurant. The water was chilled, and not the tepid fluid that so many places now serve. The menu has a fairly broad range of items, including a number of items rarely seen on menus in the US.

My wife had the lunch size portion of beef tartare, and enjoyed her lunch. I am a sucker for duck confit. I ordered the “Quack” duck confit sandwich/burger. The menu description lists duck confit, black pepper Chevre, red onion marmalade and lettuce as the ingredients. I was expecting pieces of duck confit on a bun with accompaniments. What came was what seemed to be a bready/doughy patty with duck confit as one of the components. Personally, I would have preferred recognizable pieces of duck confit; the duck was not as prominent as I would have liked. We ordered the French fries, which were handcut and uneven in size, which led to uneven cooking. Some were crisp outside and creamy inside, but others were a bit undercooked. Not the best French fries I have had in the Bay Area (Yoshu-Ya, Michelle Bistro). The Sancerre was decent. We had the ice cream “sandwich” and the lemon crème brulée for dessert. Both were a good value and tasty, with the lemon flavor present but not overpowering.

All in all a pleasant enough lunch experience. I suspect if I had opted for a different menu item I might have been a bit happier. Lunch for two, including the tip came to about $100. I would happy to go again, but there are other restaurants in Sausalito that I would like to try, and some that I have tried that I prefer. It will be a while before I expect to return.

The Duck Confit was a clear winner. We ordered the beef burger and tater tots which were okay.
My friend loved the snails.

Enjoyed the food and sitting outside. It was laid back style with a unique take on some good food. Fairly casual dining.
