Fascino, the brainchild of celebrity Chef Ryan DePersio and his family, is a study in modern Italian food, coined "Italian without borders." Ryan's unique approach is apparent, showcasing his years with world renowned chefs Jean Georges Vongrichten and David Bouley. Wonderful experience as always. Chef Ryan came out and greeted us. He inquired about our appetizers. Our server was a real pro and dinner was top notch. Our favorite in Montclair.

Made a last minute reservation, enjoyed the oysters and pasta appetizers and our thee main dishes, a chicken, fish and beef were all delicious. The Apple dessert was spectacular and the service staff were exceptional. Truly made the night an enjoyable experience.

We were Celebrating our 10 year Anniversary. Food was amazing. Service was good however, they forgot to enter an appetizer and when my husband ordered a double espresso; he received a single.

I would suggest Fascino for all the occasions listed above. The food is delicious and the menu options are different than your run of the mill restaurant. Attention to detail and use of local ingredients make this restaurant stand out above most places. The service is equally excellent. There were 4 of us and we shared 4 appetizers - 1/2 portion of duck rigatoni, octopus, hiramasa and a gorgeous badger flame beet salad. For entrees we had halibut, pork flat iron, duck breast and hangar steak. Everyone loved all the choices. Then I for dessert we shared flourless chocolate torte and apple crostata. The restaurant was quiet enough for easy conversation but not too quiet.

Staff was professional and welcoming. Our waitress was great - helpful, very pleasant and personable. The food was very good. Melon appetizer was excellent. Desserts were delicious.

Their tag line is "Italian Without Borders" and that definitely comes through in the creativity shown in putting together these dishes. Do not go there expecting Italian food as you know it. If you lean towards being adventurous with food, this is the place for you. Ambiance was enjoyable and the service was professional and attentive without being intrusive. Enjoy!

The duck was as good as it gets. We started with the polenta fries, which, in our opinion, are Must whenever we go. They might not sound so good, but try them and you'll understand. The service is always stellar. It's just a great restaurant and the fact that it's BYO makes it every better, since we all brought Huge wines!

Food was great. Even though I had a reservation for a high top we were seated at counter seating facing the wall in front of the busy kitchen. Hostess was rude and when confronted with seating stated that there was nothing available. Meanwhile, a high top next to us was vacant for the duration of our dinner.

Food was good but will not return for principle of the service and not being accommodating.

had romaine wedge which only provided one small wedge for $16 which was disappointing. Charred octopus was average, was flavorful but portions were rubbery. Braised duck rigatoni was very good. Our overall experience is that it was too expensive for the quality provided. No reason to return since there are so many other options that provide better quality food for the price. The service was very good and attentive.

Fascino was one of our favorites in Montclair but very disappointed in my last visit.
service was not the same at all food was ok but not as good as it has been in the past. Very bright very loud which again was ot normal for Fascino. No bread now you must puchase breat as a appetizer and it was cold. Will not be returning anytime soon.

Everything about the experience was excellent. We were seated quickly, our server was amazing, and the food was outstanding. We never felt rushed. The spaces between the tables was comfortable. Light music in the background. Our server made the night! Highly recommend.

My husband and I have been customers since Fasci;no opened. This was the second time in ,10-15 years that we were truly disappointed enough to say that we will not be going back anytime in the near future. We understand that help and provisions are expensive and hard to get. The food was somewhat tasty, not excellent, as in the past, and the portions were terribly tiny. We ordered the sea bass and the size of the piece of fish we each received, was only one side of a less than a pound fish. The potatoes were supposed to be crispy, and were just cooked. Our friends' dishes were also super small. A tiny piece of chicken breast with a whole lot of mashed potatoes. The price was $36 for the sea bass, the dish was not even worth $24! We are used to spending a lot on food, and don't mind it. What we don't like is to pay for food and walk away still very hungry (we did have appetizers). We were just very shocked, and wondering what went wrong in the kitchen and what are they thinking about?

While the food is always excellent, the service was awful. We were seated outside, had to constantly ask for basics like utensils, wine glasses, water, opening wine, remove plates and glasses from the table and the icing on the proverbial cake was when the heater crashed down on our table, breaking 4 glasses and the servers did nothing to clean up the broken glass and we were left there in the mess. At the very least, they should have moved us to another table. Unacceptable.

Dinner was amazing, beautiful setting, excellent service. I had only been here once several years ago, but after last nights meal it is my new Montclair favorite and will be top of the list for dinner with friends and couples nights out.

As always, it was a very professionally run operation. Seated right away, Javier was attentive and our food order was paced well. The beef tartare was excellent. My wife’s chicken dish was delicious, as was my father in laws pasta. My duck was a little gamey and over seasoned. No complaints really as the food here is usually superb.

A menu with at least 5 items that i really wanted to order. Our tanle ordered 4 different items, so i got a chance to taste each. All were fantastic! Wiat staff was friendly and went overboard to answer our questions.

Wow! My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and wanted to try some place new. We found this place online and went for it. The focaccia bread was unlike anything I’ve had. So soft and flavorful. Perfect amount of salt. The gnocchi melts in your mouth but you can taste the fresh ricotta since the sauce doesn’t overpower it. Very cohesive dish. And the desserts had extraordinary flavors. You can tell that the people in the kitchen cook with their hearts and have spent years developing the menu into what it is today. The waitress we had was very helpful, kind, and fun. We were shocked that with an appetizer, entree, and 2 desserts, the bill was still under $100. Unbelievable. I would have doubled the tip if we weren’t saving up for our baby that’s due in 2 months. We will be back and since last night we’ve already told a lot of friends about this place. Thanks for a great night!
