Amazing brunch spot. The owner came by the table and was very hospitable.
How I wanted to love this restaurant, I was on the fence bc of the mixed reviews... But wanted to give it a chance. I started with the strawberry lemonade which was smooshed strawberries compote mostly sugar with ice it was horrific so syrupy I could barely get it through the straw. So I asked for a regular lemonade instead and my server was so pleasant he immediately brought one over which tasted like ... soap almost it was watery lemonish with a strange after taste. I didn’t return it bc I just gave up and drank my water.
My friend had the chicken noodle soup which looked great. I ordered the Cobb salad with included grilled chicken but was served without the chicken which happens. I feel like they could have put more than 3 halves of cherry tomatoes on the salad. Just add more of the veggies. The server was super apologetic and asked if I’d like the salad replaced or just bring chicken and I just asked for chicken to add. The chicken took awhile so it was fresh I guess but it was over salty I patted off some of the seasoning to try to eat it and that helped.
The lavender sweet potato mash we tried as a side and it was good. Then we had the servers recommendation of the peach hand pie for dessert it was tasty.
Overall I feel like they need some quality control of the food and beverages. I’m surprised the manager didn’t come by seeing as I had two issues with items. The server was really nice and apologetic. But this spot needs some work before I’ll return. Lunch was over $45 and it wasn’t amazing.
Food is fantastic! Our waiter was friendly and professional!
Hi I was disappointed with tonight’s meal because the table was not clean, my knife had spots on it and we got there at 6pm and ate at 7pm. It was my in laws 30th anniversary and I just expected more since the shutdown. It was my first time dining out and the food was tasty it’s just everything else was not outstanding. For dessert we didn’t get a bunch of plates to share the dessert that was gifted to us so we all had to eat from one plate. I expected a really clean restaurant and I did not get it. Also I wanted to say something to the manager or host and no one said goodbye to us when we left. It was odd.
So we got to the restaurant and even with a reservation and no one waiting...were told to wait. The host was very frazzled and very apologetic so I’ll note that. Food did take very long for a restaurant that wasn’t that full. Order the hush puppies and they were undercooked with raw batter in the inside. They told us they would remove that from the check and get us new ones. They brought us new ones and they were overcooked and tasted burnt. We didn’t even report these. My dates dish was good he said But mine wasn’t so much. Biscuits were dense and dry. Very one note. I’m a professional chef and the executive chef of a restaurant myself so this pains me to write but this restaurant needs a complete change in the back of house management and leadership. The food is just not being executed well. The front of house staff was extremely sweet and apologetic though. They were trying their best to make the best out of an obviously bad situation. I rarely say this, but I wouldn’t recommend eating here in the current state they are at.
We had been here for dinner in early March and looked forward to coming for brunch. I made reservations for 11:45, although it looked as if that might have not been necessary. We were seated promptly and our server took our drink orders. From that point on, our service while amiable, was slow. As an indulgence I asked for a honey biscuit to try. It never came. Turned out okay because my husband gave me a bite of his and it was dry and overcooked. I was surprised as their baked goods are supposed to be wonderful. I will cut them some slack because it was Father's Day and maybe they are still getting their moves down with reopening.
Salmon and avocado toast was a good brunch. Turkey sausage was tough and not warm.
Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Will try again.
First time here, Family breakfast for Fathers Day.
Value was great the salads where large
First time there. Love the place
We have been to this restaurant twice now. and had fantastic food every time. Highly recommend this place!
Chicken and egg sandwich was very good. Tasty.
The waiters help each other with serving to their customers, everyone was friendly and attentive. Food was good, and a very good overall experience. Will go again
Tried the Heritage Breakfast: eggs over easy-good, potatoes-overly salted, sausage patties (I ordered sausages) ate one, not delicious. Honey biscuit-ok. May try this place again.
Excellent home style southern cooking! The burger and the fried chicken were amazing!!
Our service was a little slow and we seemed to be forgotten a couple of times but the food and ambiance was great!!
Great time reuniting with friends
First and last time trying restaurant. Short rib grilled cheese was dry, no flavor, bread was hard as rock and one slice of cheese was poorly done. The kids biscuits pizza was the worst slop of spicy cheese disaster I have ever tasted. My kid hated it. He left hungry. Most sides were cold and dry. Fries cold. Mack and cheese was dry and cool to touch. Cole slaw and mashed potatoes were good. The hanger steak was a good but cooked wrong. We asked medium rare, it came Rare and cold middle. Had to ask for steak knife and missing side. Best part was Arnold Palmer drink!
Good service, nice ambiance, lots of free parking. Food very good overall, but there were a few misses. Hamburger patty excellent, but the gluten free bun not good. Lobster mac and cheese yummy, but grits not so good. I think a few more weeks, they will have their A game on.
Enjoyed this healthy Southern food. The only complaint is that the meal was a little too salty for me.
Very good good. Unique menu and servers very friendly even while wearing their mask.
I have been wanting to try this place for a while. I was very disappointed. I did the bottomless beverages at brunch. The bloody mary is made with ginger beer. That wasn't good so I didnt drink it. The bellini was too syrupy....the final bloody mary was made w/out ginger beets and still wasnt the best.
My sweetie had the chicken wings and waffles. They both were good! I tried the wings dirty rice and mac &, cheese.
I dont recommend either one. Rice was dry and hard no flavor. Mac &, cheese needed more salt
The only good that came out of the brunch was meeting Tommy the Manager. I expressed my concerns and he let me sample a few sides that were much better.
Thank you Tommy.
Food was great! Portions were large. Waitress was friendly.
Had fried chicken dinner. Chicken was overcooked, potatoes were on the salty side and service was fair. Other party had steak salad and steak was very tough. This restaurant appears to be a knock off of Cracker Barrel. Menus very similar.
Came here for the first time for Happy Hour and dinner. Atmosphere is great. Service is great. Upscale and nicely decorated. The food and bar menu looks amazing. The descriptions have you anticipating some top notch dishes and drinks. Unfortunately, the actual food and drinks just didn’t take good. I had such high hopes. Neither is us finished our food. I didn’t finish my cocktail. The I my thing that was good was my bf’s New Old Fashioned drink. My Strawberry summer cocktail (I think that’s what it was called) sounded so delicious but ended up being bland and...just not good. My brisket was dry and so chewy. I wanted to spit some pieces out because of how long it was taking to chew. Honey glazed baby carrots were ok but two were raw. The black eyed peas were good but only half the bowl actually had peas in it, the rest was rice. My BF has chicken wings which had that frozen-for-too-long taste. He also had shrimp skewers which were just average. For $60 we expected much more. This place has so much potential and great staff. I think they need to improve the food or else they won’t be around much longer. I would not go ba
It was just really good. The macaroni and cheese was probably the best I have tried.
The food and service was great. The prices on the food were a bit expensive. I will try happy hour on the next visit.
Food was great! Came out fresh and fast. A bit of a mix up at the bar on our drinks. Wrong drink brought. A lady server in a red shirt, mask on her chin & wearing glasses yelled at our waiter for taking her drink. Kinda of rude & embarrassing after the bartender gave him the wrong drink to begin with!
Third visit in a short time. Service and food consistency seem to be trying to get back up to speed after so much time off. We’ll try again down the road.
Yummy Yummy Food
Great comfort food.
Biscuits were really dense. Old? The eggs on one order were prepared other than the way they were ordered and the dish was put together oddly. Potatoes and salads were excellent.
Always a great experience. Great food, great staff.
So glad we went for our first dinner out of quarantine. The staff was wonderful and so friendly. Our food was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back and highly recommend.
The food looked amazing but lacked taste. The coleslaw was bland. The cheese in the grilled cheese sandwich wasn’t melted. I enjoyed the rib sandwich but by the time it came to the table the bread was soggy. We also had the fried chicken and fries which everyone enjoyed!
We came for 2 birthdays to celebrate. We were excited to eat out for the first time in months! We were so disappointed in our food! We came at Happy Hour so the appetizers were bogo. They were ok at best. My kids enjoyed their food. My husband and I on the other hand were very disappointed. He ordered the fried chicken plate. It was the worst He’s ever had. It was way over cooked and bland. I ordered the house salad with fried chicken pieces on top. They brought out grilled instead. I told our server and she said she’d bring out the fried chicken but then took my salad and brought only the worst over cooked fried chicken I’ve ever eaten. Then when my husband told the manager we didn’t see our server again. Not until she took far too long to bring the check. When we said goodbye and were leaving my daughter saw our server roll her eyes at another coworker. With those kind of prices and below par food and service we will definitely never be back.
Food was terrific as was the service. Comfortable during social distancing.
Service was very slow, and the salmon came extremely overcooked.
