Great food, great service. Ribs were a delight. The portions were large the meat was delicious.
Great experience and great value I loved that there were Paleo options all around as well as fresh locally sourced ingredients. Overall very good value although not cheap. Family friendly as well if you have small kids. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Napa Valley
Nice place, good food! Enjoyed it. Will go again!
Amazing food and vibe! Loved the kale salad and beet salad!
The reviews and recommendations were 1000% accurate. My husband and I enjoyed the oysters to start, followed by the ribs, pork chops, biscuits, and mac for our first dinner in Napa. Service all around was impeccable! Can’t wait to come back the next time we visit the west coast!
Always fresh and local. Always delicious. I’m vegetarian and they have so many great options. The arborio rice with an egg on top is out of this world. Casual but classy.
Great dood and great service! Owr server was great and made good suggestions. We were served very fast and all the accompdations we asked given different preferences and needs were made.
Delightful lunch with mostly local ingredients, something the restaurant prides itself upon. Its a bit noisy inside, so when possible we like to eat outside for lunch. It is quite charming amidst the vines, which create a nice ambiance. We have always been delighted with this restaurant.
This is our fourth visit to Farmstead and will probably be our last. The outside area (where we have had pre-dinner cocktails and appetizers) has been dirty every single time we come. We kept thinking on previous visits that the restaurant got ‘slammed’...but that seems to be a standard (un-bused tables, floors that have never been mopped, dirty seats and seating area). The appetizers are phenomenal....but this last time the wait staff was so sub-par inside the restaurant. Both gentlemen in our group were going to order one item, but the waitress couldn’t stop raving how great the ‘special’ steak was...so both of them switched up their orders. They were SO disappointed that they listened to her. She was probably trying to steer them to a pricier entree (or the cooks were trying to get rid of the overly fat and grisly steaks). Their meal was inedible. We ordered several ‘more than’ $100 bottles of wine for the table....not one server ever poured our wine except for the first glass. The dessert cookies were stale...we thought they probably cooked them a week before they served them. Sorry..:but there needs to be some soul searching and tightening up around his place before we reconsidered spending our money there again. Too bad! The appetizers are great and so is the ambiance (if it would just be cleaned on a daily basis).
Excellent in so many ways. Lovely garden that grows the freshest vegetables for the restaurant. But we came a long way specifically for their outstanding tomato salad, which we remembered from another August, and it was not available. Surprising, since heirloom tomatoes are all over northern California farmers markets by now. Did Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch plant too late this year?
There are too many other restaurants in the area that are much better.
Such an amazing place to enjoy on a date or with a large group!
Always a favorite- get the ham & cheese biscuits!
Farmstead is on a nice property. The restaurant is nice, the outdoor bar area is also nice. BUT the service and food are not worth a return visit.
Years ago I had their biscuits and gravy on a Sunday for brunch. Since then we’ve returned THREE times, and each time left thinking “Why did we come back?!”. The first few times we returned, it was a Saturday and they don’t serve brunch. Sadly I would miss the biscuits and gravy but we tried other items. All so blah, or full of grease, that we said “Never again.”. FINALLY we were in Yountville and would be able to hit brunch on Sunday. YAY! Biscuits and gravy! But sadly, no. They were AWFUL! It was basically one broken cheddar biscuit in a sea of sausage and greasy watery liquid. It was disgusting.
So, NEVER AGAIN. We have them many chances and this last visit sealed the deal. This area is full of delicious food. Farmstead is now officially off our list.
The food was phenomenal. Farm to table, well-balanced flavor while keeping it simple. Service was good. We enjoyed it very much. Thank you!
Had to wait 20 min past our reservation time
The only reason why I didn't give Farmstead 5 stars was because it was so loud, I could barely hear my husband across the table. It could be because our neighbors were especially rowdy. Other than that, the food was amazing, We had corn, deviled eggs, ribs and niocchi and it was all amazing. Wish we had room for dessert. We will be back.
First time visit for a pre-concert dinner (5 pm) on a Friday. The food was uniformly superb: the gazpacho was probably the best of its type ever. I had the gnocchi and my date had the trout -- both were first rate: delicate yet satisfying, we split the two dishes between us, and could not decide which was better. The Farmstead chardonnay was crisp, unoaked and quite good. The draft IPA was fine, but not quite up to the very best IPAs I've had (e.g., Auburn Alehouse PU240). Farmstead doesn't usually serve bread -- they should fix that -- but I managed to get them to bring a nice sourdough that they use in some appetizer dishes. It was not crowded initially, but by the time we left at 6:45, it was quite full and bustling. Service was very good. We recommend Farmstead.
Amazing experience, food, wine, service and environment was perfect for an evening in Napa.
The food was great. Our waiter was Jason, he was very knowledgeable. Overall a fantastic experience
Our server tried but the kitchen couldn’t keep up our food was good when we got it dessert was a 20 minute wait hopefully they can get it together
Great Napa restaurant with a farm to table menu. If you get there early or have to wait for a table, don’t have to worry. Thee are lots to do with a viewing garden, Wine Tasting or just sit in the lounge area.
Love this place! It's still my favorite restaurant in the Valley! Great food and awesome fun service. This time we sat at the bar and our bartender was fun and friendly!
Excellent food! Excellent service! I would highly recommend Farmstead to all my friends and family. High quality food for a reasonable price. The service was impeccable!! We'll be dining at Farmstead again soon!
Great food and wine selection. Our waitress was outstanding.
Good food. Nice atmosphere. Service was good. Pricey menu but locally sourced ingredients.
Loved our outdoor table, food and service! Can’t wait to reccomend to family and friends.
Great experience. Staff made out anniversary dinner memorable with attentive service and great food recommendations. The wood fired oven made the entire place smell amazing. Great outdoor area too. Book it well in advance, it does fill up.
Wonderful time at Farmstead. Beautiful setting. There are several spaces to choose from: outdoor bar, indoor bar, patio seating, and seating inside. A table for anyone and everyone's preference. The food was absolutely delicious, seasonal, perfectly prepared. Must go!
Maybe the best kids menu I’ve ever seen. Something for everyone!
Food was out of this world. Our server Ahmed has amazing. Very attentive and charming without being over the top. A great experience. We enjoyed walking through the garden afterward.
We always come here when we are in town. We love the food and the atmosphere.
Food was great! Slightly annoyed that our reservation was at 8:45pm on a Wednesday and didn’t get seated until 9:15pm, with a full “sorry” in response. People were not amazingly personable but service wasn’t bad either.
Horrible! Overpriced average food. Wine list not good. Very disappointing.
We were visiting the Napa area and it was suggested that we try Farmstead. Immediately, made reservations and were able to reserve a table for the day we arrived. Our meal was so amazing! We had the deviled eggs, beet salad, ribs and the mac and cheese (with bacon). The portion size was ample enough that we split all the plates and had food left over. We talked about the food for the next few days and decided we needed to go back one more time before we left. And we did. We didn't have reservations but were able to get a table at the bar, after a 10 minute wait. The bartenders were so engaging and made the experience that much more enjoyable. This time, it was the fried green tomatoes, meatball (OMG), cheddar biscuits and the burger. This meal was just as delicious as the first time. We ended saving the left over biscuits for the flight home the next day. Farmstead will be on the list for every visit to the area and have suggested it to several people for their upcoming trips. Most definitely one of the BEST dining experiences!
Good food at a good value.
All in all, this place was fine but not well suited for our anniversary dinner. The restaurant was very noisy, and the seating was all right in the middle of things so it was difficult to have a nice conversation. It would probably be a better spot for larger groups. The seats in the booths were uncomfortable, so this is one case where the chairs are probably a better bet. Service was fine. I mentioned that it was our anniversary on the booking (and they specifically asked), but they clearly forgot or never looked. When I mentioned it to our server, they brought us a little scoop if ice cream with the check, but it was only after we declined ordering dessert, so it honestly felt like an afterthought. Appreciated, but not the same as many restaurants around here that will go to extra lengths to take care of you for a special occasion. The food was all good, but nothing was really outstanding, and the setting definitely didn't justify the prices. We wouldn't go back, but again it would be fine for a casual dinner among a group of friends.
Chicken on the brick was moist, seasoned perfectly, and delicious. We got the Salad of Lacinato Kale with the grilled chicken and it had a lovely citrus dressing, a wonderful texture from toasted parmesan. The service was first rate. We brought our own wine and gladly paid the nominal $5 corkage. The waiter was very helpful in bringing ice to keep the wine at the right temp. Will come again.
The food was delicious but we had a terrible waitress.
The food was amazing. Only call out was our waitress was spread thin. So we waited 30+mins for a dessert that never came out. We cancelled it. However they realized, apologized, and sent us home with dessert. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance.
