Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch Ratings and Reviews
Late lunch after visiting hall winery. Great recommendation from the winery, my husband choose meatball appetizer and a burger . I choose the ribs. All were excellent. A couple of drawbacks. My husband ordered a root beer not until after my wine and the appetizer arrived my husband asked about his drink. She came back to say they were out. Meal was good. I ordered ice cream to go. We got our bill my husband went to the car. I waiting another 10 minutes before the ice cream came
We have been enjoying meals at Farmstead for Many years. My husband and I, sometimes just the two of us, often with friends and, not often enough, for family celebrations continue to enjoy delightful meals and service and ambiance at Farmstead. And, our family and friends include vegetarians, vegans and dedicated carnivores. Molly is our favorite server; however, we have never had less than wonderful service if we dined on a weekend or Molly was unavailable.
Farmstead is our favorite!
Great food and great service. We had four in our party, when we ordered appetizer that came with three pieces, she automatically asked if we would like to get four pieces instead. I liked her attention to details which made our dining experience an added bonus. The food was great overall.
We requested a quiet table, but we're seated next to a family with young children who were not well-supervised by their parents. That proved to be a major distraction. At this price point, there should be more consideration by the staff. The food was good to excellent, although my partner's lamb arrived well-dine and had to be returned. The second time around it was good. The wait staff was effective. Those in charge of seating folks were not, in our case. We probably won't return.
Great experience for most all in our party. The burger comes on a non functional bun requiring fork and knife. Something the chef is aware of as we weren't the first to advise but apparently chooses not to alter.
Mexican corn appetizer is delicious as is the trout and pork chops with jalapeño grits.
We went for an early dinner and were not disappointed! A shared burrata and prosciutto appetizer to start and the best smoked pork chop I have ever had as a main course were my choices. Everything is either grown or sourced locally and they have vegetable/herb garden outside the restaurant. Thanks for a fine meal!
Loved this place. I'm a big fan of open kitchen preparation where you can watch the chefs in action. We had the heirloom tomato salad. Wish I could copy that recipe, it was sooooo good with the citrus dressing. Our waiter/servers did a great job. Farmstead came highly recommended by our daughter and it did not disappoint. So yummy. We shall return.
Best Napa restaurant we've been to yet! Definitely the best Bloody Mary I've ever had, too. They even accommodated a booth request and special occasion info that we placed on our reservation (most places overlook that info).
The restaurant was delightful for our first trip there, however, we sat outside and the weather heated up so we left right after eating.
The oysters were too fishy tasting, and the sauce that accompanied them was not a good complement .
Otherwise, the other menu items were enjoyed by everyone.
This was our fourth visit and this would be an absolute must in almost any other part of the country but in Napa Valley, it's just good enough. We like the cheese bread (free with a Yelp check in, $8.50 otherwise), we like the low corkage on Napa wine that goes to charity, we like the patio for a drink. But it's hard to put it put it in the same category as Press, Rutherford Grill or even Brix. I don't mean that to sound terribly negative as I gave it 4-5 stars in just about every category and this particular visit gave us the best service we've ever had here but again we walked out wondering if we'd made the best choice (and then we went to Press for chocolate souffles).
I wish menu can add more course or options. I hope more farm to table items to eat. BTW, I hope we can more choice, like scallops, sea bass and so on.
BTW, for dining experience this time, flies bothers our dining, and we hope air-conditioner temperatures can be cooler will be better.
Farmstead seemed like a really great place that we hit on a VERY hot day! It was 110 outside and in the low 90's in the restaurant. There were flies that needed to be brushed away constantly and it was cooler in the restroom than in the restaurant. I'm sure the AC had difficulty keeping up with the outside temperature. The food was good, the dessert was amazing. Our server was good . I wish we had a better experience.
