Great service. Stephanie d Josh are amazing. Management sharp.
Seasonings with edible flowers most intriguing. The food was well prepared and the presentation was perfect
I had a great meal of the harissa carrots with dates (excellent), broccoli (pretty good), octopus (pretty good), and the pork chop (very good, huge portion - maybe even too big, not enough veggies on the plate though), but the service was terrible. we were checked on 1 time and it took 30 minutes+ between appetizers and entree. My friend had the swordfish and her portion was 1/3 the size of my pork chop. A bit overpriced as well. I've been here many times and the pizza/apps is really the way to go. You do sit nicely and the ambience/atmopshere is good/lively.
The pricey menu keeps us from coming back as often as we'd like, but it's really one of the better places in the area.
our server was extremely personable and knowledgeable. She made sure all our questions were answered and we're satisfied with each dish.
My husband had the watermelon and tomato salad and the pork chop and I had the mixed green salad and swordfish. Both were exactly what we wanted.
Food in Marin is not very special but Farmshop is.
Food is so delicious and crative, however the portions are quite small....
The food here is amazing!! We ordered a burrata and fig appetizer and then each ordered our own pizza. The food was astounding. Best I've had in a looooooong time. Wonderful mix of flavors. Would definitely return for a special occasion.
Always an interesting and diverse menu, the octopus ceviche starter was divine!
Food was not to the level that the bill was at. $300.00 dinner for 4, which were 3 pizzas and a steak. Looks to be way over rated for the money that was required.
I love this restaurant.....my third time....in Marin??? or take the ferry from SF
The avocado hummus is a must.......
First our waiter was one the most charming young men I have ever had the privilege of having as a waiter.
Celebrated two wonderful birthdays with one amazing dining experience!
Great place. Stuffy as in needs better air conditioning.
If I'm in larkspur I'd definitely return visit, but I'd not make a special trip from SF just for this restaurant. On that note the food was well prepared, high quality ingredients, and relatively efficient service.
Noisy but the sevice and food were great
We had a beautiful lunch here on the patio with friends. We started with wonderful pizza, shared avocado hummus, salad, wild salmon, olives and a lovely bottle of pinot rose. We then shared ricotta cake, chocolate tart, and mint meringue for desert. The service was excellent and unobtrusive, the food was fresh and tasty and the patio was a bittersweet place to bid goodbye to summer. We'll be back.
Great meal and service. Only suggestion is that shades are added at the sides of the patio. Love the outdoor ambiance but for a second time in a row we have had to move because of sun and heat. Many other diners relocated as well. It's a shame with such a good outdoor venue.
This is a favorite fall back restaurant for Marin County residents who want to meet Berkeley friends halfway for dinner. Unfortunately, on this occasion our table was not ready at the time we reserved and we were forced to stand for half an hour at the bar. I realized I need to find a new halfway restaurant.
The food is exceptional but the prices are in the stratosphere- $39 for a small piece of salmon, $17 for a glass of chardonnay, etc. to note a couple. Will be a special occasion only pick at these inflated prices.
Second time there. Everything was great again ! Pastrami sandwich sandwich is to die for! Same goes for the marble potatoes and a crispy artichokes ! Outdoor dining in the Larkspar landing make the perfect setting. Will be back !
very creative brunch dishes . not sure about the shopping mall location
Food was excellent as usual. Our server was friendly but not very polished or professional. She also forgot an appetizer we ordered and then brought us the wrong bottle of wine.
The food is absolutely fabulous. Clean and fresh. The flavors are out of this world. Service is wonderful along with a great atmosphere. One of my favorite restaurants.
Had a bit of a slow start, I think our waitress got overwhelmed with tables. They did finally come by and we got a glass of wine. All went well.
Sat outside, wine list seriously overpriced! Bring your own bottle! Food was ok, kudos on the house made pastrami sandwich with killer homemade pickles &crushed potato salad!
Pizzas are "soggy" and poorly conceived!
Service is not up to the pricing! Server could barely open a bottle of very overpriced Domaine Vacheron. She was clearly was never properly trained on how to open wine, dropping the corkpuller twice!!
Very amateur service!!
Some of the most unique and delicious dishes we have ever had! Pastrami sandwich was incredible, marble potatoes very unique (homemade ketchup is killer!)! Chocolate torte dessert was the perfect finish! Our waitress did a great job on recommendations and service. Outside seating on a perfect day.
Can't wait to return!
The appetizer are creative and seasonal, the outside tables on a warm evening are great
I usually love the chicken, but this time it was a little disappointing,
Everything else was A plus
I was unimpressed and I won't be going to Farmshop again.
We enjoyed our meal at Farmshop very much. We met another couple there, and shared yummy cocktails, beer and a few wines by the glass (not a huge selection, but all good choices). We shared several appetizers- the lemon hummus and the stracciatella with FIGS!!!! were particularly outstanding. My main course of grilled swordfish was outstanding; all the go-withs were as wonderful as the swordfish. Others had lamb (done perfectly) and a variety of vegetable dishes, all well-prepared and beautifully presented. The housemade pistachio gelato was so tasty that I regretted the three other spoons that were eagerly digging into it. The service was friendly and efficient, with the waiter checking in frequently. The modern, semi-industrial look was inviting rather than cool, the bar area was quite lively, and the place was big enough to accommodate many diners. It's in a fun location (Larkspur Landing) with plenty of easy parking. We plan to go back whenever we are in the area (as the menu changes frequently, we know we will have many chances to enjoy the chef's tasty treatment of local food) and highly recommend this restaurant.
We were a party of four who showed up about 20-30 mins earlier than our reservation. The hostess young-ladies were very friendly and accommodating to our request to sit on the outside patio. They asked us to wait to clear up and prep the table so we ended up getting seated pretty close to our reservation time. Their heaters situated outside their patio seating did not have any gas, apparently. None of them. None of them could be turned on. So in the fall/winter time around dinner, I would definitely recommend sitting inside. Apparently, that heater issue was not a first-time occurrence.
1 of my party did not enjoy her food experience (she ordered the spaghetti creation). The rest of us ordered the wild mushroom pizza, spicy sausage pizza, and lamb sirloin. We were quite satisfied with our dishes and the spaghetti one as well. They have interesting food creations on their menu. The only negative thing about the food, I'd say, was how difficult it was to eat the pizzas with our hands. Most the ingredients were in the inner circle of the pizza and in that same area the dough was super thin and had gotten soggy -- hence difficulty eating with hands. Unless you wanted to look like a wild animal or uncivilized person eating in public and ate it with your hands - as one of us did. The rest of us resorted to using our silverware and do not care who judged us for eating pizza with silverware. :P
Very nice restaurant but, overpriced for what you get
Frequent customer, will continue to be, but not for dinner. The food is fresh and flavorful. But, the prices have gone completely over the top. $39 for a 3-ounce piece of wild salmon with a little quinoa and apricot...really?
The food was amazing and pricey. This is not a $. IT IS A $$ at least! The average entree is about 40 dollars and doesn't include a vegetable. You must order a side dish if you want that.
Overall I really like this place but for my family it is more of a special occasion kind of place. The atmosphere is lively and airy. Not dark and romantic. I had the burrata like cheese with figs. It was amazing. The salmon was great but nothing to write home about. I wish that I had ordered the chicken after reading some the reviews. Warning: You can't get a glass of wine here for under 16 dollars.
Ken was the BEST server ever!! Thank you! My date didn't want to go back to Farmshop becaus he didn't let me the service. Ken changed his mind permanently!
I'm afraid my 4-star review does not accurately describe my experience. My veal dish was over cooked and dry and the sauce was heavy and grainy and 3-stars at best. Whereas another member of our group had the pastrami sandwhich and it was over the top delicious- totally 5-star.
Great food and service
The hostess Katherine, was most gracious when I tried to choose one of several table locations in advance of my guest arriving for my reservation. The restaurant does have an impediment in that the sun creates quite a warm and bright experience in the afternoon so it required finding just the right outdoor table that was out of harms way.
The service, food, overall dining experience was exactly what we had hoped for. I will return and apparently this is quite the hotspot metaphorically and literally for those of us in Marin as well as folks coming from the East Bay.
Was nice, sat outside... table was right next to a very busy walkway for wait staff and other customers, but it didn't really bother me too much. Food was outstanding, ribeye was cooked perfectly.
