Farmshop Marin is Jeff Cerciello’s second outpost which opened in 2013 in the heart of the Marin Country Mart in Larkspur. It follows in the footsteps of Farmshop Los Angeles, the acclaimed restaurant and artisan market that opened in the Brentwood Country Mart in 2010. Farmshop Marin features pristine California-centric ingredients and refined yet comforting dishes.
The impressive 6,500 sq foot space features a comfortable and elegant dining room, outdoor patio, expansive full-bar area seating 50 people, lounge, private dining room seating 60, and an open-hearth wood-burning oven and grill. A gathering space for Marin locals & ferry commuters, the restaurant offers the impeccably-sourced, seasonal California fare Farmshop has come to be known for, with additional pizza, fish and meats fresh from the wood-burning oven and grill.

Please note that reservation of 7 or more require a credit card. Cards will be charged $25 per guest for parties that do not arrive for their reservation.

Overall, Farmshop has good food -- but is pretty expensive so I expect the food and the service to reflect that. The ceviche was good -- a bit spicy so either the waiter or the menu should indicate as such. The chicken salad entree was good although for the price I don't expect to see brown spots on the lettuce. My friend had the mushroom pizza which she said was ok. Our waiter, however, was not very attentive. He had to be reminded to bring sparkling water, our wine took forever to come out, and he didn't stop by once to check on us. And he was on his way to deliver the check without asking if we wanted coffee or dessert but fortunately he was intercepted by a waitress who did stop by our table .(I don't know her name but she has served me before and is lovely.) There is a 4% service charge added to the bill so consider that when tipping.

Farmshop is consistently inconsistent. We are regular visitors and never know if we will get stellar service or basically be ignored . Last nite we were ignored . Food was flavor packed and well prepared . Service was horrible . Our head waiter was all attitude and returned once for the final bill . Too bad as we would have ordered more but she never attended . Busy hours are understaffed and the bar is always far too slow . Your drink order dribbles to your table , one drink at a time , over ten full minutes . It’s too bad . Given the top end pricing , they should provide consistently better service

The food and service were fantastic! We had the seasoned olives and the croquettes to start. Both phenomenal! We had the house margarita and a glass of white Rhone blend from Tablas Creek. The tequila quality was great for the house margarita and white blend paired well with the main courses. For dinner, we had the Alaskan halibut and the chicken over cous cous. Both dishes were well prepared and the flavors fit together seamlessly. I would come back in a heartbeat and highly recommend coming here for a special date, business dinner or family function.

Service was outstanding and friendly, ate all the waiters suggestions through desert and this is definitely an underrated venue. Great food, wines and service..price was fair as well.
