Michelin Bib Gourmand 2016.
Food was good per usual but the wait staff was hasty and seemed eager for us to order, finish, and be gone. Menus were handed to us while still taking off our coats, and our table was wiped clean and reset as we stood to leave. We were in and out in 45 mins.
The food was good and ambiance was very nice. I’m not impressed by the service though: the waiter dropped a spoon on my back and left a clearly visible stain on my white shirt. He then acted like it was no big deal and disappeared without offering dry cleaning or anything, before I can properly check my shirt and the damage. Very disappointed at how this was handled!
The food is average, overpriced and portion is too small for one person, we had to order seven dishes for four to share, and it's not even starred Michelin restaurant.
The food was amazing - Ahi scoops, Golden friend tiger prawns, panang curry. The ambiance is fabulous too - communal dining done right. The only issue we had was with the service - when we entered the restaurant, no one paid attention to us for 20 mins while we were waiting for our table. We weren't even asked if we'd like to order drinks, which was very disappointing.
I do like this casual and fun spot. The food is very good. Its a tad loud when they have birthday celebrations and bang a gong. Good value, had the kobe beef app and it was delicious!
Food quality has gone down. For the prices you pay, you should be able to get decent food. The chicken on pineapple & salmon dinner were poor according to friends. Noodles in soup hard/overcooked.
Waiter was cold and not attentive. You still have to wait even after RSVP,plan on 20- 30 minutes. It has happened 3Xs. I don't recommend this restaurant. Your paying for colors and fun uniforms for the staff.
Great food and fast service!
The food was amazing. The service was good. It was a pretty loud experience. I highly recommend it to anyone with tastebuds.
I told them about my moms birthday but they didn’t do the whole song for her was disappointed
This place is busy for a reason. The dishes are thoughtfully designed and crafted with great care. Each is a piece of art while still managing to be comfort food. If you have a special occasion or a special friend in town, make a reservation for dinner. If you just need your fix of delicious Thai food, walk in for a late lunch. Either way, you will be pleased you went to Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine.
My husband and I went for first time to this place. It was my husband birthday and I want to surprise him . I was told they sing 🎶 to the birthday guess . Sadly I feel they was rushed us and clean out table very fast and they didn’t sing anything to him so sad 😞. They don’t read my note in my reservation and also when they Offer desert I told them it was his birthday but nothing works . Overall food was great 5 starts so great yummy salad and fried food .
Definitely some of the best Thai food out there but would say the waiters rush you out of there because of so many people wanting tables.
This was a super fun place to get dinner on a Friday night. Lively atmosphere and delicious food, made you feel like you were in Southeast Asia.
The food was delicious and I would be back for that, but it was so noisy (they seat you right against other parties so you can hear their conversation; especially if you’ve got a loud, high-pitched person next to you). The waiters also kept trying to clear my plate even though I wasn’t done. It wasn’t a relaxing experience, so I’m hesitant to recommend this place beyond the delicious food.
BEST THAI FOOD IN SF . I WILL ALWAYS RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO FRIENDS AND IS MY GO TO THAI RESTAURANT WHEN SOMEONE FROM OUT OF TOWN VISITS .
La verdad aunque el mesero fue muy amable el general el ambiente en lo maximo desde ahora uno de mis restaurantes favoritos la comida deliciosa
Food here is really good, portions are big and best shared family style.
Be sure to make a reservation of there will be a wait.
I don’t understand the hype. Went in with reservations but ended up having to wait for an additional 45 minutes. The pad Thai was too sweet and not good at all. The Panang curry was the pretty decent but for all the hassle wouldn’t come again. Also, the environment was too loud and I ended up losing my voice bc I had to scream. Not a good experience. Wouldn’t come again or recommend to anyone else.
There seems to be a glitch in the reservation system. The host was not at all welcoming and my reservation was nowhere to be found. It took three tries, three grumpy people, and ten minutes or so before anyone believed I had actually made a reservation. This was not ok, and the apology was half-hearted at best.
The food was excellent, however.
Really good food and presentation. They put a spin on the food it was yummy. Great service and I would definitely go back, but it got really loud, almost too loud at one point.
A picture paints a thousand words...
Hands down one of my favorite restaurants! Perfect spot to celebrate a birthday or just treat yourself with some high quality amazing food!
Good food but a bit expensive. The place is nice but very noisy.
Was in the city from Menlo Park with my wife to catch Conan O’Brien at the Masonic. The Food at Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine was delicious, service was great. Will definitely return.
The service seemed rushed and not personable. It was incredibly loud inside the restaurant, especially with the banging of tambourines for a birthday song. The food was very good, but over priced. It felt very showy, and almost too trendy.
Was seated right away. The food was delicious and the service was great. Would definitely recommend to others.
When I got there that evening after confirming reservations days in advance the place was underconstruction.
It was everyone’s birthday! Great place for birthdays for small or large groups. Interesting delicious food.
The food was delicious and the restaurant is fun. Definitely will be back.
Great for Birthday celebration
Farmhouse Kitchen Thai is not your ordinary thai restaurant. The ambiance is super hip and vibrant with awesome creative dishes. They serve unique dishes that I haven't seen at any other thai restaurant like fried chicken with curry and blue rice. Each dish we ordered was packed with flavor and the portions are huge! I recommend ordering anything on the specials menu. This place is a must try in SF!
Everything was great except the cocktails.
Authentic Northern Thai cuisine served in a dining space that exudes charm. Service is good and they don't keep you waiting long for your food. Definitely coming back, there are so many things I still have to try!
This place was great! I loved the food and the restaurant was highly energetic. Don't come here if you are NOT looking for a hyper and party experience. The staff was very attentive and new the menu inside and out as well. Definitely want to come back here for a birthday or a night out with friends.
3rd time there and the special was beautiful however very over priced for very little edible food.
The food was fantastic! I asked our waitress for recommendations and they were all excellent!
Best Thai food of my life. Their yellow curry is phenomenal, and their fried chicken is better than anything I’ve had. The tables can be a little small, and by 6pm, the whole place is packed. Walking in should be fine right when the evening hours start though.
As usual, Farmhouse Kitchen was delicious. Out of the three dishes, my friends were most wowed by the Panang Neau (steak with curry). Highly recommend that and the Hat Yai Fried Chicken!
The food was fantastic. Everything came quickly but the waitress wasn't friendly with answering questions about the dishes. We were given the check without asking if we wanted dessert and removed our napkins while we were still drinking wine. We felt rushed to leave even though there was nobody waiting to be seated. We will still return since the food is great. Maybe the server was having a bad day.
