Papaya Salad or Mango Salad
Spicy! Hand shredded green papaya or mango, garlic, fresh chili, cherry tomato, Thai long beans. Dressing choices: Classic (dried shrimps and peanuts)
over Jasmine rice
peanuts, bell pepper, basil, crispy yam
The food is very good but the restaurant is very very loud. They were good about recommending dishes that we could eat with our various food allergies and sensitivities. I would go back for the food but doubt I will due to the noise level.
Phannika was an outstanding waitress. 5 star service. Great authentic Thai food.
Service was not great. Felt very rushed and was not busy. Our server was asking about dessert while we just got our main course meal. I had the fried rice. Chicken was extremely dry.
Food was absolutely killer
Fun and festive, great food. Fun for a group
The restaurant was closed on the day of the reservation. You should not let people make reservations on days you close the restaurant. This created a bad surprise and horrible experience. Unacceptable.
After coming here for a few times I think the kitsch of this place is overwhelming how good the food is. There was some special festival going on this last time and there was a strange giveaway for all diners. Lots of cymbal crashing. A lot of singing. A lot of noise. Ruined the dining experience for me.
Amazing food but PLEASE PLEASE close the front door so freezing air isn’t blowing right into the guests. Definitely dampened our dinner experience
A little too pricey for everyday dining but the Twitter on conventional Thai is SO GOOD I wish I could dine here everyday. Festive vibe makes this place perfect for a fun night with friends
Great Thai food in a funky location filled with locals. Came with a group of 5, a bit on the pricy side but the flavours were on point in my opinion and we all left full even with our wallet a bit lighter. Would go back again.
Farmhouse Thai is the best Thai in SF! The food is so delicious and the atmosphere is fun and lively!
Best Thai food ever!
The food is fantastic! All the ordered dishes essentially came out at once. We finished dinner in under an hour. The dinning experience is too fast and it felt like they just wanted to turn tables - and maybe so.
Overall a terrible experience. Rude staff and very loud. They basically throw the food at you. Food was good and they are busy but very poorly trained staff makes for an unpleasant evening.
This is a wonderful birthday spot! I’m really glad I got to celebrate here with a group of 6
The restaurant is a fun place to go to, very colorful and decorated with playful artwork. The food is outstanding. The barbecued and fried chicken dishes were excellent. The papaya salad is marked “spicy” and they’re not kidding. It’s got 5-alarm heat. We’re glad we ate there on our trip to SF.
Great service, ambiance and service. Our 4th visit. Lived in Bangkok for two years. Speak Thai
Omg, SO much fun. Took family that was visiting here and they had a blast. Everything that we ate was AMAZING. Be sure to ask for their cup of noodles, it's not on the menu, but it's EVERYWHERE on Instagram. :)
Vegetarian options were few and not very tasty.
Every dish was goodZ. Every dish we saw coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled better. Lesson learned : order all the things.
Food was good per usual but the wait staff was hasty and seemed eager for us to order, finish, and be gone. Menus were handed to us while still taking off our coats, and our table was wiped clean and reset as we stood to leave. We were in and out in 45 mins.
The food was good and ambiance was very nice. I’m not impressed by the service though: the waiter dropped a spoon on my back and left a clearly visible stain on my white shirt. He then acted like it was no big deal and disappeared without offering dry cleaning or anything, before I can properly check my shirt and the damage. Very disappointed at how this was handled!
The food is average, overpriced and portion is too small for one person, we had to order seven dishes for four to share, and it's not even starred Michelin restaurant.
The food was amazing - Ahi scoops, Golden friend tiger prawns, panang curry. The ambiance is fabulous too - communal dining done right. The only issue we had was with the service - when we entered the restaurant, no one paid attention to us for 20 mins while we were waiting for our table. We weren't even asked if we'd like to order drinks, which was very disappointing.
I do like this casual and fun spot. The food is very good. Its a tad loud when they have birthday celebrations and bang a gong. Good value, had the kobe beef app and it was delicious!
Food quality has gone down. For the prices you pay, you should be able to get decent food. The chicken on pineapple & salmon dinner were poor according to friends. Noodles in soup hard/overcooked.
Waiter was cold and not attentive. You still have to wait even after RSVP,plan on 20- 30 minutes. It has happened 3Xs. I don't recommend this restaurant. Your paying for colors and fun uniforms for the staff.
Great food and fast service!
The food was amazing. The service was good. It was a pretty loud experience. I highly recommend it to anyone with tastebuds.
I told them about my moms birthday but they didn’t do the whole song for her was disappointed
This place is busy for a reason. The dishes are thoughtfully designed and crafted with great care. Each is a piece of art while still managing to be comfort food. If you have a special occasion or a special friend in town, make a reservation for dinner. If you just need your fix of delicious Thai food, walk in for a late lunch. Either way, you will be pleased you went to Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine.
My husband and I went for first time to this place. It was my husband birthday and I want to surprise him . I was told they sing 🎶 to the birthday guess . Sadly I feel they was rushed us and clean out table very fast and they didn’t sing anything to him so sad 😞. They don’t read my note in my reservation and also when they Offer desert I told them it was his birthday but nothing works . Overall food was great 5 starts so great yummy salad and fried food .
Definitely some of the best Thai food out there but would say the waiters rush you out of there because of so many people wanting tables.
This was a super fun place to get dinner on a Friday night. Lively atmosphere and delicious food, made you feel like you were in Southeast Asia.
The food was delicious and I would be back for that, but it was so noisy (they seat you right against other parties so you can hear their conversation; especially if you’ve got a loud, high-pitched person next to you). The waiters also kept trying to clear my plate even though I wasn’t done. It wasn’t a relaxing experience, so I’m hesitant to recommend this place beyond the delicious food.
BEST THAI FOOD IN SF . I WILL ALWAYS RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO FRIENDS AND IS MY GO TO THAI RESTAURANT WHEN SOMEONE FROM OUT OF TOWN VISITS .
La verdad aunque el mesero fue muy amable el general el ambiente en lo maximo desde ahora uno de mis restaurantes favoritos la comida deliciosa
Food here is really good, portions are big and best shared family style.
Be sure to make a reservation of there will be a wait.
I don’t understand the hype. Went in with reservations but ended up having to wait for an additional 45 minutes. The pad Thai was too sweet and not good at all. The Panang curry was the pretty decent but for all the hassle wouldn’t come again. Also, the environment was too loud and I ended up losing my voice bc I had to scream. Not a good experience. Wouldn’t come again or recommend to anyone else.
There seems to be a glitch in the reservation system. The host was not at all welcoming and my reservation was nowhere to be found. It took three tries, three grumpy people, and ten minutes or so before anyone believed I had actually made a reservation. This was not ok, and the apology was half-hearted at best.
The food was excellent, however.
Really good food and presentation. They put a spin on the food it was yummy. Great service and I would definitely go back, but it got really loud, almost too loud at one point.
