I have moved back recently from south Florida. It’s been hard to find a good consistent restaurant in this area, when I found Farmhouse last summer I was thrilled. Unfortunately I must be honest and tell you that my experiences have not been so great since returning this spring. Yesterday, your tables were dirty and sticky, I literally had to put a napkin on the seat (bench) I sat on because it was so sticky, as was the table. Seemed a bit more uncleanly than before. The quality of the food was very mediocre. The lettuce quality was terrible, slightly wilted and def not fresh. My favorite, the waygu burgers had a funny taste as if not fresh.. We are maybe a bit more picky with chef backgrounds and a farming background. This I know, consistency and quality food is what keeps people coming back. Your waitress and hostess are wonderful, maybe an extra hand would be better on busy days like yesterday. Service of course is also key. I also judge restaurants on bathrooms, maybe keep that especially clean, as that represents a restaurants standards too. I do love your ambiance and want to see you succeed, we need good restaurants desperately. I think that if your standards start slipping, then so will your clientele .. Up your cleanliness and food quality. Love the open kitchen, it’s daring, but adds a warmth. I also would recommend your music be more befitting for all ages. I think instead of classic rock, which not everyone likes, it’s better to please all by playing something more in the middle but not as rough as rock and roll. I do like Rock, but the setting needs to be right, a bar or pool hall. My suggestion is Softer blues like Ray LaMontagne, Chris Stapleton, Van Morrison, that type, not so hard core..and for the elders , Sinatra, Bennet, the crooners, are beloved by all generations. Music is a bigger deal Than one thinks.. Mother’s day touches of fresh flowers or even road side wild would have added a nice touch too..Best of luck!
