Slow service, but it was busy and Thanksgiving so to be expected.
Pleasant staff but attention to detail lacking-wine list missing in menu, menus rather tatty.
House red wine was good value and pleasant but pizza rather bland and lacking mozzarella. Duck pasta dish was unusual but probably wouldn’t order again. Okay overall but wouldn’t return.
Food was bland except for the pumpkin soup. How hard is it to put a little spice in the food you prepare? Just salt and pepper maybe? And you say mashed potatoes and gravy but forget the gravy? Really?
Went for brunch and even with reservation, wait even after sitting down for time to get food was long; then time to get check was long- I asked 2 different people for our check in addition to the hostess. Gave my card and took 30 min to get it back. While the food was okay, not sure if it’s worth the wait. I’m sure dinner is better
Great ambiance in heart of Little Italy, but the food is just not that good.
The location and outdoor seating are lovely. The food was average.
Love the service! The server had amazing recommendations and was super friendly!
Disappointing. Food was cold. Chicken was dry. Server never checked on us.
Excellent but finding parking was a challenge. Walk or get dropped off if you can.
Outstanding food and atmosphere! Everything was delicious!
We had a friend in town for a business conference and met up for dinner at one of our local favorite spots in Little Italy. We love the food and drink options, always have outstanding service, and enjoy sitting on their patio.
There were bones on the pizza in the short rib and chunks of fat. The pasta was swimming in oil.
Bartender doesn’t know how to make martinis. The waitress tried to make it right with re-do’s on the drinks and a complimentary dessert. Food is excellent and the service is great.
I like the interior decor. The restaurant name gave me the impression of freshly prepared meals. I ordered the stuffed sole and was very disappointed, it was cold and the sole was not cooked. The server did not come to check how everything was for a while. When he finally checked, I informed him that the sole was not cooked. He offered to have it recooked and I opted not to. Instead I had shared my husband’s meal which was the roasted chicken breast which by the way was pre cooked so by the time it was reheated and served it was very dry. The uncooked fish was never taken off the bill. The server said he would let the cook know about it but never came back after that until he was ready for the check. I would say, if you’re to eat hear, do not go for the entire because it appears they are like having leftover since they are not cooked to order. Safe to go for pizza or pasta after observing other tables.
Hit and miss..this was a miss. The bartender was so rude. We moved to a table and the servers were abrupt and didn't greet us. We waited a while for someone to return but ended up just walking out. Last time my pizza was under cooked and before that it was burned.
Big. Lots of seating options.
This restaurant was a huge disappointment. My sea bass was clearly not fresh and was inedible. My husbands steak looked decent. No one at our table finished their meal. One appetizer - eggplant - was good. The so called bruschetta was more like white bread with sliced pears. Nothing bruschetta about it. Wine selection ok. The website offers a farm to table approach. Not remotely true. And the site was drafty and incredibly load. Never return.
Food a bit overated, bland yet interesting and not terrible. Decent wine. Energy and people watching a plus!
Food was cold. Bloodys just okay . Service was great
Food was ok, but not great.
The farmer's salad was a delightful combination of blueberries, raspberries, sliced Strawberries, cubes of pineapple, cantaloupe and honey dew melon all covered with a bed of arugula and goat cheese; delicious!
The salmon was perfectly done and ample but, I'm a fan of neither mashed potatoes nor broccolini and the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste.
Overall, a delightful experience!
Me and my friends went for breakfast and the portions were huge so you definitely get your money’s worth. Food was tasty and came out quickly.
Food was good….it wasn’t great. Not bad just average especially given it’s a farm to table restaurant we had higher expectations but no complaints. I would give it closer to 3 1/2 stars and would try again, it was restaurant week and very busy which may have affected quality.
Enjoyed the freshly prepared food here today. We were out on SD Restaurant Week and will return.
We visited for a D Restaurant Week. Great value, delicious food. Crab cakes to die for! Artichoke ravioli and NY steak entrees were perfectly cooked with great presentation. Limoncello cheesecake and Chocolate mousse cake-yum. Katie was a wonderful server! Thank you. We will be back!
Great ambiance and service.
Outdoor seating adds a nice few of Little Italy.
Great experience dining with Farmers Table. Food is delicious and service is always excellent. Great value as well!
Beautiful place in the heat of Little Italy. Food was incredible, delicious. I highly recommend the squd ink spaghetti & shrimp. Their sangria is pretty good too.
Food was fine--nothing spectacular, nothing problematic. It was unfortunate that we received our entrees while still eating our salad/appetizers, and with a small table for two, needed to let them go to start our dinner. The clams/mussels dish was served without a bowl/plate for discards, which we needed to ask our waiter for. One of the signature cocktails (gin/cucumber) was just fine as well. Nice outdoor environment; with so many choices in Little Italy it won't be high on the list to go back, but if I had limited choices I would consider eating there again.
This was a marvelous experience. The service and atmosphere are open and lovely. The drinks were very nice and the food was incredible - particularly the pasta. The pistachio is highly recommended.
This is my second time there the first time the food was delicious i enjoyed myself. The second time Was my wedding anniversary I took my husband who never been there and we got seated in a area with a lot of traffic very uncomfortable and we request to be moved the hostess said there was no available Table for two. But as we looked around there was two people sitting on the table for four. Also I ordered the Seabass and my mashed potatoes were not included. Very Dissatisfied.
Great location in downtown little Italy. Variety of food and drinks options.
Friend came in to visit from denver and wanted fresh seafood. Farmers table did not disappoint. Best octopus in town hands down!
Food was lovely, I enjoyed the location and had a great time!
Nice relaxing lunch and ambiance with attentive server!
1) Great location in Little Italy, very vibrant part of town.
2) Huge restaurant. Large space. Indoor and outdoor seating.
3) Food is solid. Portions are just right. I have liked EVERYTHING I have ordered in my 5-10 times dining there.
4) Price. I see value in their pricing vs food quality and rest location.
5) Service: 9 out of 10 times the service is SOLID: Attentive, fast, bilingual and great attitude.
1) Parking can be difficult because of the rest location in Little Italy BUT we new this at the time we made the reservation.
2) This particular time our waiter had like 10 tables assigned to HIMSELF on Labor Day Monday!! Dude couldn’t keep up (no fault of his) plus we where told the kitchen was running super slow.
I took them 30-35 min to get our food out!! It normally takes them no more than 10 min.
Had a reservation for 10am, hostess took our name down and forgot about us. Finally got in and ordered the chile relleno omelette and house salad with shrimp. 10 to 15 mins...we were advised that they were out of chile relleno. We then picked the veggie omelette, 5 to 10 mis...we were told that they were out of shrimp. Really?? By the way the orange juice we were served was not freshly squeezed, very disappointed from a restaurant called "Farmers Table". In any case, we decided to take our business elsewhere. This was our first time there and were somewhat excited and unfortunately it didn't work out for us.
I want to preface that I understand it was a very busy night and like any other restaurant I know they are probably understaffed.
Once me and my Husband arrived for our reservation at 8:30 pm we were quickly taken to our table . The table didn’t have chairs so we had to stand by table for a few second so they could get the chairs which wasn’t a long wait but it was odd that we would be taken to a table that wasn’t prepped .
We ordered our food, our waiter was Ivan; he was very nice. We ordered a drink each and got them in a timely manner. I ordered the chicken that came with potatoes and Brussel sprouts. I do want to note that the reason why I chose this dish was for the Brussel sprouts since I love them.
1.Our food came in a couple minutes later and my dish didn’t have any Brussels so when I asked Ivan about it he said they had run out. I would’ve much rather preferred he told me that they are out of them when I ordered as opposed to not getting them and getting just chicken and potatoes.
2.My husbands wine was the brought out. We could both see that there was something floating around followed by a lipstick stain on the glass. We asked for a replacement which they brought
3. My husband ordered a steak and it came out later than my meal and when it came out it was way over cooked . He asked for a Medium rare. We asked for a replacement. When we received the replacement which was about 15 minutes later when I was already done with my meal, it was over cooked AGAIN. Admittedly Ivan stuck around to see how it was cooked because he thought it looked over cooked. My husband sent it back to the kitchen and didn’t want another as it was getting late.
4. When Ivan came out with the bill everything was on their as it should be, & of course my husbands meal was not because he never ate. I asked Ivan about the total amount because I never received Brussel sprouts and he responded by saying “but we put extra potatoes. First, I did not eat all of the potatoes……
Great food, cute atmosphere!
Very enjoyable! Thanks
