Farmer's Table - Bay Park
This was our first time dining and the amazing service is what would bring us back. Everything was exceptional but our server (young man with curly brown hair) made our experience special. He was so attentive and made us feel taken care of. I wish I got his name so we can ask for him next time.
We ate outside at sunset. Its was beautiful. The grilled octopus was delicious. So was the pizza and calzone. Their pizza crust is to die for.
Food was excellent. Service was excellent.
We will go back on a regular basis and tell friends
Didn’t even order food. Was seated and was never approached by anyone for any type of drink, appetizer, or food. We sat at our table for roughly 20 minutes before deciding to leave and go to another restaurant. Multiple employees walked past us and tried to avoid making any type of awkward eye contact. I will return to farmers table but ONLY the one near Little Italy, this location needs some serious improvements to their customer service. It isn’t that hard. Do better
Food was poor. Ordered the lamb shank and lamb Ragu. Sorry to say, we will not return.
Quality food and trendy looking place in a supermarket mall. Really happy we found it.
Everything was excellent!
Very busy day, but food and drink still came out in a timely fashion, even if service was largely absent.
Delicious food, great cocktails and excellent service.
Good service and solid food. Great neighborhood spot, with fun Bloody Marys.
Great food, had the turkey Benedict....delicious!
Great food and the server was really sweet and very efficient.
Great food! Great service!
Great food and wine choices. Very tasty. It was Valentine's Day dinner, so understandably a bit hectic from a service perspective. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and our visit.
Always great food. Valentine’s Day so the food delivery was a little slow. It seems all the Farmers Tables are excessively loud. Hard to have a conversation. Food quality is off the charts great however.
Made a reservation, got there and the place was closed.
Three of six orders wrong and cold. Very busy, so it is what it is, but it’s been a little off the last few times. Still like the place tho.
Despite the fact that the restaurant was not busy, service was very poor. Two women at an adjacent table were comped for their bill because the server forget to put in their order!
Generally love Farmer's table. Great coffee and usually food. However, I do not recommend the Chilaquiles. They were bland, and needed more substance to them.
Overall very pleasant experience with delicious food. The Bloody Marys have crazy toppings.
service was slow for a nearly empty restaurant although there seemed to be plenty of staff. server was sweet but she seemed overwhelmed with her work load compared to others folding napkins & drying silverware while she hustled all over. 3 people behind the bar & not one acknowledged me standing there waiting to place an order. i gave up. i wish the pizza oven was fired up @ 10 but the flatbread/pizza guy doesn’t even come in till 11. they let our party socialize for hours without feeling rushed out & we would have ordered more drinks if anyone thought to come by. waited almost 30 minutes for a desert for the table because of a “fire problem” to top the creme brûlée which was bland -
We are locals and have been to the new farmers table several times, each time coming back with more hope that the service will improve. We waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our first course. The wait was very long. The food was good and tasty once it came out but We were really disappointed with the length of time it took for our meal. We watched a server accidentally give our first course to the table beside us. Disappointing.
Visited Farmer's Table with 3 other girlfriends on Saturday night. Our table was on the patio, which was lovely. Our server was also nice, but she didn't really seem to have a very mature/developed palette, based on some of the recommendations she made. The ones of us that listened to her were disappointed in what we got. The ones that ordered based on the menu description were much happier. Our biggest issue was that the food was not brought to the table together. 3 of us got our appetizers & 1 was sitting there waiting. Same thing happened with our entree & our desserts.
There was also a pretty large gap of time between when they cleared the apps & brought our entree.
It is also disappointing when any server doesn't ask how the check needs to be divided at the BEGINNING of the meal & then forces the customer to do higher math at the end of the evening.
Overall, we enjoyed our meal, and we would go back. The portions & quality of food is amazing for the price, but I think there could be improvements.
The food is outstanding. I was surprised at the extensive menu for a farm-to-table place but everything was wonderful and fresh. Since it was restaurant week, we excused the less than perfect service. It is noisy though!
My toast was not toasted and omelet was barely lukewarm so I had to send it back. Very mediocre place.
While the food was excellent and the service terrific, we would not recommend Farmers Table Bay Park. The ambience was minimal and noise level terrible. We could hardly hear one another at the same table. The worst part was the front door was left open most of the time and a cold January breeze served to make the setting very uncomfortable. Although we talked to the hostess who is stationed outside about closing the door, she ignored our request. We were not the only ones who complained about this situation.
Food was not good.... fish was very salty. Pasta was tasteless.
Bad customer service
Didn't care for the TV being on the boxing channel
Colton is always so attentive and friendly, remembering us by name and even our favorite drinks. He is awesome!!
Great food excellent service. Will definitely be back!
We brought two more friends to Farmer's Table on Saturday - they loved it - as we always do. Great service, food and drinks - can't ask for more than that. This has really become one of our "go to" places in San Diego.
We were a party of 5 and ordered drinks, apps, a cup of soup, dinner and dessert. Everything went awry when dinner arrived before appetizers. We informed the person delivering the food that we hadn’t even had our appetizers yet and he said ok let me check. He then brought out appetizers and then our dinner came, yes, it was the same plates of food he brought out 20 minutes before. We had two pasta dishes that were cream based and you could see the glaze on the top of the pasta and when you turned over the pasta there was some coagulated cream. When our waiter came over and asked how everything was we told him and he took one of the pastas off of the bill and a cup of soup. We had totally forgotten that one of our guest ordered the soup, it came after the dinner before dessert, LOL. So on a $400 bill we were credited about $30. This was a nightmare dinner celebration of our son leaving to go back home to the east coast after the holidays in San Diego. This place needs to get their act together, I’m pretty sure we won’t be back.
There 6 of us for brunch. The menu had something for everyone.
Awesome food and service!
The up charged potatoes had so much truffle oil it was awful and my egg sandwich came with 1 piece of regular bacon not the special bacon and clearly not enough for that size sandwich. Our waiter never stopped by to check in and it took us 5 minutes to flag someone for napkins and then 10 min of being done to get our bill. I had heard great things and was disappointed
I wanted to like a place like this and there were some things to appreciate. Unfortunately, the drinks were too sweet and the food was disappointing. My pizza was incredibly soggy and the entree's that others ordered looked dry and sad. I had a bite of the fish dish and it tasted as bad as it looked. After the first round of drinks, we ordered the only on the menu that seemed hard to make too sweet, a Manhattan, and that was very good.
A very pleasant surprise: some vegan choice, many vegetarian choices, enough fish, meat, and poultry to please any dietary-diverse group. Very nice, casual ambience, comfortable. I wish it was in my neighborhood!
Great spin off of original restaurant tucked in a shopping center in the heart of Clairemont. The restaurant was much smaller but still has great food, drinks, and service!
