Good food and nice atmosphere. Awesome brunch as usual.
Great experience, good food! Service was a little slow but it was very crowded.
Mother daughter brunch to celebrate her 21st birthday in Georgetown. Brunch was fun but it would have been even better if they had acknowledged her birthday. The staff was aware of the special occasion.
The only reason why they didn’t get all 5s was because we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated for a 9 PM reservation. The food and drinks were delicious and our waitress was wonderful. Would highly recommend, but I did expect better customer service for their prices.
all the food is good but save room for dessert!! cake and beignets were awesome!
Great food but tables were crammed so tight it was difficult to talk or hear.
A crowd pleaser. Loud. Good cocktails.
Muy bueno el atún a la parrilla y el cran cake
Every food was good! Delicious. Except for dirty plates and cups... please take more care of cleaniness..
Food was excellent. Decor and ambiance great too. Definitely would go back again the next time we are in the Georgetown area.
Farmers Fishers Bakers was a disappointment. I am not inclined to write negative restaurant reviews because some degree of understanding and forgiveness is in order when judging human beings performing a difficult job. Serving the public in an extremely busy restaurant is no easy task, but the staff at this restaurant could do a great deal to improve the customer experience. The environment is frenetic and loud. We waited at the entrance where no one acknowledged our presence-three young people continued to perform their work, never looking up, and when they finally addressed us we were placed in a crowded uncomfortable seating area. We waited an unacceptably long time to be seated and when we were, we were taken to a booth where someone has spilled water on the seat cushion. "Someone spilled water-we put a napkin over the wet spot-be careful" we were advised, with no apology, no offer of another seat.
The restaurant was so loud that conversation was difficult. Our waitress was quite nice and very patient in answering our questions about the various menu offerings which were plentiful and reasonably appealing. Our food was just ok, but the beignets were a real disappointment-not really beignets but popovers with powdered sugar ( and they were raw inside).
This experience was not terrible, but I regret that I chose it for a birthday celebration. Many restaurants offer a more hospitable environment . A little more kindness and attention to detail and courtesy would have been very welcome.
Great food, service and wine/beer selection. It’s a loud restaurant so it’s good for a group but not a romantic dinner.
Delicious food. Noisy restaurant. It took 20min to be seated (despite reservation).
The food was amazing as always! Service only lost points because we were placing our food order before the waitress had asked us what we wanted to drink, which was bizarre. Otherwise it was great! This is the perfect place to bring friends from out of town, which is what we did tonight.
My daughter loved the burger and I loved the kale salad with hazelnuts and a side of chicken. It was very very good!
Great lunch, atmosphere, and service. Highly recommend
Good choice so long as you do not mind waiting when you have a reservation and be waited on by a curt and hurrying server.
It was my birthday evening. Fantastic wings appetizer, excellent drinks, great ambiance, and fantastic birthday cake and service. Would definitely return again with other friends/family. Very clean restaurant and great surroundings at the Georgetown Waterfront! Must visit in DC!
The service was poor. We sat at our table for 25 minutes after we finished and no one came to clear our plates or ask if we needed anything else. Drink orders were also forgotten.
The food was good. But the menu does not give accurate descriptions. My husband had tacos which came with a fried egg on them. He does not like eggs and nowhere on the menu did it say eggs. The apps were great. My jambalaya was really good. Our friend had the halibut special which was good. The cocktails were good. Waitress was GREAT!
Had some hair in our food but the management took care of everything gracefully.
One thing I like here is the option to buy a half-a-glass of beer (I think they call it a "short.") That's about all I like so it's nice that's what I can order. I'd prefer it if they had a bread basket when you sit down, though.
Fun place to enjoy unique foods that are sourced from local farmers. The taste was excellent, the atmosphere was energetic, but getting there requires lots of patience on a Saturday night.
We had made dinner reservations for 5:30 pm as we had tickets to a show at the Kennedy Center later. The line of people trying to get a table was so long that we almost couldn’t get in the revolving door! We did have to wait a few minutes for a table, but given how busy they were we were just happy to get seated. The service was great, the food and drinks were delicious (and what a huge menu!), and the energetic setting right on the Georgetown waterfront on a gorgeous spring day was amazing. Highly recommended!
I have to say was somewhat disappointed in our experience.
Despite a reservation, and checking in 30 min. early, we still waited 50 minutes beyond our reservation time to be seated. Our waitress, China, was very nice and did a good job considering how packed the place was! She was actually the highlight of our experience.
Crab dip was good, but was shy on the crab meat. Brick Oven Pretzel was nice and hot, but the dips are pretty suburban. One of our party ordered the Marinated Daily Steak which while cooked properly, was extremely tough, as was the steak add on I included on my Fried Brussels Sprouts Salad which was woefully shy of Brussels sprouts. Other meals were good, not outstanding. The Banana Pudding Pie was yummy, but could have been improved with a shortbread or Graham cracker crust. Drinks were terrific. Would be willing to try another location, I have dined at their location at Tysons, again with the same issue, waited 45 min. despite a reservation, but the food was so superior, it made up for it. Great people watching.
We arrived at the restaurant a little later than our reservation. We didn't have to wait long for them to seat us. Unfortunately, we were seated at a dirty table. I thought the spot on the table was water until I touched it and it was sticky. I also noticed water stains on the table. My food was only ok; I ordered the fish platter. My guest got the honey fried chicken which was delicious. We ordered beignets, which were told would take 15 mins to cook. When they came to the table they were cold. I asked for a manager and asked if it was supposed to be hot, he said yes. I told him we had waited 15 mins for a cold dessert. He did remove it from the bill. Overall I don't think I will be going back. It's not worth it.
Great service, great food transform into great time!!!
Appetisers were good. Main course and dessert were average. Feels like a tourist trap. The food at the Founding Farmers in DC (sister restaurant) is so much better. Was hoping this place would be similar to Founding Farmwrs which was why I booked it.
I was disappointed that I missed brunch due to my reservation being at 1:45 and being unaware that it ended at 2. I did however enjoy my lunch, the shrimp scampi was amazing!!
Everything was AMAZING-the food was delicious (literally everything we tried at brunch), our server was extremely attentive and friendly and we never felt rushed. Just a great experience!
Amazing brunch! Great variety and everything was delicious.
Great brunch! Our server, Chelsea was out of this world amazing! The food was good but really the service made the meal! We had three people with food allergies in our group and they were very informative and helpful
Great atmosphere and superior service. Food was also excellent with a wide variety to please everyone. Wine list was nice with several appropriate options. This is a favorite go-to restaurant, especially after theatre events due to its late seating options.
Every time I have friends come to visit, FFB is one my favorite restaurant go-to's. The food is always excellent and there's something for everyone. I love the cocktails and friendly service. Will continue to enjoy FFB in the future! Thanks again!
Food was delicious . Wait staff terrific
Had a late after- show reservation and told the concierge we had 10:30 res. We didn't like the initial table and asked for a booth near the window (all were empty). The hostess said she was going to get the table cleaned and then disappeared. 15 minutes later I asked her if our table was ready and she had totally forgotten. She grabbed a rag and proceeded to clean the table. She disappeared again. We had to grab our own silverware and menus. 10 minutes later I had to literally stop a waiter to ask if he had our table. The food came quickly after, and was good, but the service was horrendous on this night. Kudos to the manager Molly who came over and chatted with us, and almost made me forget about the bad service. If not for her the review would be a lot worse. I believe this was an isolated incident, and I hope they will talk to and train their employees properly about customer service.
Delicious brunch on Sunday; however the weekday lunch was somewhat disappointing. The pork shank was very good but the fried scallops may as well have been from a fast food restaurant that serves frozen food - I'm not even sure they were scallops - they were all evenly sized and very chewy. The service was okay - our waitress disappeared for a while but turned up eventually.
Food is tasty! Energetic place for friends gather together! Will come again!
Good food, sat outside on nice night and great waiter.
I had asked the restaurant and main hostess about surprising my friend with a piece of cake as a birthday surprise. I even submitted this request via OpenTable and the hostess confirmed that she told our waiter. But they never provided the cake. I was pretty disappointed since this was something I re-iterated several times to the restaurant’s staff.
