Farmers Fishers Bakers Ratings and Reviews
Staff knew we were celebrating special occasion. Took over one hour to get entrees-- after sharing concern with manager. Comped birthday cake brought out too late to eat. Had to be boxed to go. General sense staff didn't care. Lastly, one of two dinners served cold. Pretty bad experience given the night.
The brunch buffet is nothing short of spectacular! So many tasty choices! Loved the combo of buffet AND included order items! When you can have all the breakfast staples along with tacos, sushi, pizza, dips & spreads, and fried shrimp what is not to LOVE?!? I’ve come for regular lunch before and it was excellent but the buffet is an experience you don’t want to miss.
We heard lots of recommendations from friends to come here, and they were spot on! Farmers fishers bakers was incredibly delicious and our waitress was very helpful with suggestions about the menu. We really appreciated her honest advice to help give us the best experience! The crab dip is to die for!
1. The “reservation” system leaves much to be desired.....no alert system in place and the staff is yelling out names to find people. Also, my reservation was for 12:15pm, arrived at 12:10pm only to be told all reservations were 15 mins behind. We had to wait 45mins before being seated. What was the point of making a RESERVATION!
2. The food was meh...seemed to lack a wide selection and ran out of some items rather quickly.
3. I received an email saying the restaurant prefers the use of the “Rooam” App for payment......this was untrue as the sever stated we use the traditional way to pay (no problems in doing so but don’t advertise about an app you don’t use)..
4. Service was great
5. Based on the experience, not sure if I’ll be back as other places offer a more items on their brunch menu and have a system to alert patrons when their table is ready (pager, text message etc.) step your game up Farmers Fishers Bakers.
My friend was visiting Dc from Dallas and asked me to find a place where we could meet for brunch in Georgetown. I booked a table at Farmers Fishers Bakers. It was so bad, I was embarrassed. The “brunch” consisted almost entirely of savory items that were more appropriate for lunch or dinner. The only egg option was scrambled eggs that were sitting in an iron skillet and were so dry they were inedible. The restaurant did offer other scrambled eggs (served in a similar skillet, and equally dry, presumably) into which various ingredients (mushrooms, scallions, etc.) had been mixed. But I am allergic to some of the ingredients, so I asked whether they could make me some eggs containing ingredients that were safe for me to eat. The answer was no. My only option was the dried out plain scrambled eggs. This was particularly troubling after they had asked me about food allergies when I arrived. They obviously didn’t care about my allergies enough to accommodate them; why did they even bother to ask?
The buffet was enormous and contained a wide variety of items that seemed to emphasize southwestern/Mexican-inspired fare. My friend was visiting from Texas; if we’d wanted a Mexican brunch, we would have gone somewhere else. Our first trip to the buffet was so disappointing that we didn’t go back for more food, even though quantities are unlimited. I have no idea what it cost - there was no printed menu and the server never told us. My friend picked up the check; I hope it didn’t cost him more than about $15 for both of us. That’s all we ate, and that’s all it was worth.
Although the “brunch” was a buffet, they kept bringing us food (fried shrimp with cocktail sauce at 9:30 in the morning?) which they apparently thought was good “service” but it really was just an annoying interruption and a waste of food.
I will never return to this restaurant for ANY meal. I have no confidence in their ability to offer something that a reasonable diner would want to ear
This was my first time coming for dinner and the service was excellent... The food... not so much. The crab dip app was heavy on the onions and light on the crab. The salmon entree was delish but the twice baked potato was served cold in the center and didn't taste good at all. I will just stick to brunch from now on.
The service was excellent. Very attentive and prompt on a busy Valentine's evening. The food was excellent. The mussels were best we had in long time. Pretzels were hot chewy and just right amount of salt. The main dish was piping hot just the way it should be not warm like others. Overall excellent experience. Recommend highly.
Everything was great for the most part. Our server Kelly was awesome! The only downfall was my steak. I ordered the Maui ribeye and I was disappointed. It was really dry and over cooked when I asked for it medium. I don’t send food back unless it’s completely messed up so I dealt with it but I know I wouldn’t order that steak again.
Food was excellent. A variety for all. A bit noisy - we were seated close to the bar even though we had requested a quiet area on our reservations. Next time I know to ask for further back in restaurant. Service was prompt and server very good with recommendations. Would go back again and recommend to friends. Thank you!
Consistent. We had a reservation, but still had to wait about 10-15 minutes. It was a Saturday night, so kind of understandable. Had family in town visiting, great spot for visitors!
Usually a great view of the Potomac, but happened to be a foggy rainy evening.
Best meal at FFB is Brunch. Hands down!
Honestly, this is the second time I made reservations for my husbands birthday ,Feb 2017 and Feb 2018. We were seated 45 minutes after our reservation with no apologies, no mention of his birthday, no offer of a desert on the house. We had a party of 6 with guests from out of town-embarrassing to say the least. I guess the old saying rings true...fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. NEVER AGAIN!!
Not that there was anything over all wrong with her experience. The service was absolutely top-notch I can't stop telling people about how much they cared about my wife's garlic allergy and made sure that there was no issues. However the food for the price was lackluster. The steak frites the steak was chewy and the fries were cold. However the sauce that came with it was to die for and would come back just to buy the sauce.
