We had a business lunch for 7.
Atmosphere - We had a fun spot up front in a semi-private room. It was a HUGE table and wonderfully lit with large windows, but the table was SO large, it was hard to have a full conversation with the whole group. I could only hear 1/2 the table. The music was a bit loud for this room - I wish it had a control level for just that room. None-the-less, the room was very welcoming!
The Food - There is a great variety of food available and they are very accommodating for any food allergies or dietary needs. Specialty items and drinks too were wonderful. Each meal was scarfed up and truly enjoyed. Thumbs up for the great food! The portions were plentiful, enough but not too much.
Staff - Super friendly, knowledgeable and prompt.
One of my all time favorite stops, especially in the summer. The food is always amazing but the staff really go above and beyond to ensure your while dining experience is amazing!
A very thorough and complete menu. Excellent service. Some unique menu items as well. Good wine list. The pickled menu items were outstanding, particularly the pickled salad. We enjoyed our experience there and will return if we're in the area.
This was my third visit to the restaurant, I absolutely love the energetic atmosphere and menu sections. Customer service is always excellent! The waiters are very familiar with the menu and are very helpful when trying to make a dinner selection. I had a hard time deciding between the Rockfish special and Jambalaya, but ultimately went with the Jambalaya. I was not disappointed.
Best food we had in dc. Our waiter from El Salvador was charming. Will be back.
Food was excellent, staff was great and very accommodating to food allergies. Will definitely be back!
Busy Saturday afternoon with sunshine and nice weather. Wait staff revolved a bit, but we never felt forgotten.
As always very good. Now one of my husband's favorites.
I like to bring my friends to Farmers Fishers and Bakers because they can bring their dogs if we sit on the terrace. The staff are really friendly and take great care of my friends pets!
This was my second time here but my first time having brunch. On a Sunday afternoon this place is packed! Thank goodness we had a reservation but we still had to wait almost 45 mins for a table. Thankfully we still had enough time to eat brunch once we were seated. The food was outstanding! This is not your average brunch/buffet items. The fried chicken was nicely seasoned and the skin was very crispy. Perfect to along with the French toast because you don't lose the crispness from the syrup. The eggs were fluffy and the crab & artichoke dip was delicious. The sweet tea was actually sweet (which is hard to find in the DC area). Some of the grilled zucchini was too charred and the grits had good flavor but were a little lumpy. Lots of variety and I plan to go back.
Justin was a great server!! I hope we were decent guests and I can keep the “very cool guests” status
Definitely recommend reservation gets packed. Had a good variety of foods but we didn’t know half of what everything was because it wasn’t labeled, so it was just a guessing game. But sometimes that’s the fun of it. Wish they had better deals on mimosas/drinks, 9$ for a mimosa on top of 32 all you can eat adds up. Otherwise definitely recommend trying this place out.
My husband and I had a delicious brunch with such a great variety of options. Our daughters gave us a gift certificate for our anniversary. I did not enjoy sitting so close to the diners on either side of our table and it made getting up from the table a bit more difficult than it should have been. Our server was attentive.
Great food, great experience, too close to everyone else to the point that we could hear each other’s conversations.
Thank You Sunday Brunch- We had a GREAT Time.... The Food Is Off The Charts...
Yummy Everything !!!! We have dined there more than five different times with family and friends from Birthdays too just because... NEVER a Disappointment...... The Food is Priced Right, Great Atmosphere Delicious Food .. Tables For 2 and Most Important Tables BIG enough for Family To seat Together ....
Brunch is great, but the price point is always very high for kids who don't eat much. Also would like signs on the food to identify which items are vegetarian! Table service for passed items is always a bit slow.
Our experience was great, we waited a bit for seating, but the food came quickly after we ordered. The waitress was cheerful and very nice. The hummingbird cake was delightful. The wine was coolness.
I once went to their brunch and since it's a buffet, there service wasn't an issue. However, the dinner service is another story. Despite having reservations, they sat us next to a door that opens constantly and the cold drift is just unbearable. To their credit, the manager found us a better table. Ordered a bottle of wine and after waiting 20 minutes were told they were out but that they had a similar bottle. French fries that came with the sliders were completely stale. Mussels were totally watered. No reason to return.
Food was AMAZING ! Service needs work in prep setting for courses and basic table maintenance and awareness.
This was my first visit to Farmers, Fishers and Bakers. Candidly I had not had a great experience at another Farmer's restaurant but wanted to give the group a second chance. I am glad that I did. The food was on point and the service was great. One thing to consider - it takes a little bit of a longer wait because the food is rather fresh - something that is a plus BUT should be considered if folks are thinking of a quick in and out date.
I always make a reservation and always get seated at least 15 min late. The noise (music) really loud Saturday night. Sat a 2 top and could barely hear my friend actroas the table. Will try to sit at bar next time so we can have a conversation. Food always good.
Our reservation was for 5:30. My friend arrived at 5:30 and she checked in to wait for me by the host stand. I arrived (late) at 5:40. We were told that it would be a short wait. I asked to see a menu while we waited. We were seated just after 6pm.
Our table was a 2-top situated adjacent to the rear patio exit. There was a lot of wind coming from outside. Despite what appeared to be a heavy curtain near the server station/rear exit (an attempt to block the wind), there was a significant draft. This might possibly be the worst table in the restaurant - which was packed.
There was a notably long wait time for water and to be greeted by a server.
We each ordered salads with add-on items (chicken & pork belly). My friend has a shellfish/seafood allergy which she mentioned to the server. She also ordered an appetizer and requested that all items be brought out as they were ready seeing that we were hoping to leave by 7pm for an evening performance.
What seemed to be about 10 minutes after ordering, our server returned after speaking with the chef to say that the appetizer had some shellfish/seafood in the dipping sauce. (I'm not sure if this server is new. As a recommendation, staff should know the menu well enough to guide guests with food allergies, especially those as popular and "dangerous" as a shellfish/seafood allergies.) The server offered no (sauce) substitutes and didn't have a menu available (or know it well enough) so that we could consider other options. As an alternative, theserver suggested we consider the pretzel. (We were not interested in the pretzel).
My salad was great. My pork belly was great -- but cold. Considering our objective of leaving before 7pm and the experience that we were having, I ate everything and left wishing that our FFB dining experience had been better.
I can only speak of the Weekend Brunch. Besides having to wait an additional 30 minutes after Open Table reservation time, top notch restaurant all around. I guess an additional 30 mins isn't as bad as walk-in guests who had to wait 2 hrs. Food is of the highest quality local ingredients. We had the brunch buffet which was well worth the money charged for Adults. Be sure to arrive a least an hour before they close for Weekend Brunch. We couldn't get to all the offering but will be back for more.
Brought my mom here for brunch. My expectations were very high since i did have lunch at one of the affiliate restaurants which was a great experience overall. This place was way more crowded than the other i guess because of the location. The food was great my only issue was there were no potatoes at all which was upsetting because i love potatoes, but the other location had it which puzzled me. Overall was satisfied with everything we ate including the fried shrimp and sushi they brought to the table.
DIdn't realize that they don't serve lunch on Saturday & Sunday---it's a buffet brunch only. Wish I saw a note about it when I made the reservation. Extremely noisy and crowded. Waiter didn't fully explain the options of other dishes (pizza, etc.) that could be brought to our table.
Rock N’ Roll Half marathon celebration
Food was great and other than the waterfront scenery being under construction, the place looked wonderful!
Great Night out with some friends. Food was excellent from apps to drinks and dessert. Will return again.
Winter Pie cocktail was DELICIOUS. Our waitress was very scattered and was missing much of the time to the point where someone else stepped in to take our order. When our waitress returned, she put in the wrong order for 1 in our party, so that person had to wait for a new meal while the reset of us ate. Management apologized and took that meal off the tab, which was the right thing to do. The tiny complimentary birthday cupcake was hard; we were glad we ordered another dessert.
This was a great lunch location! Choose it as an impromptu lunch date and it did not disappoint. Our server was nice, and honest about the menu options and selections. What we choose for our options were great for lunch, can’t wait to return.
From the start of our arrival things were rocky. The two ladies at the reservation desk did no acknowledge us!!! However one of the girls whom came to pour my coke ( African American girl with weird shaped glasses) was beyond rude. I was trying to explain something to her when she gave me so much attitude and walked off in mid sentence. Our food took over an hour to reach our table. The waitress came back to say our food was backed up because we ordered one well done burger and then she stated the kitchen was very backed up. First of all the patties are super thin. needless to say the manager Paul (who could careless) came to the table with a complete different story about our food! Basically tried to down play his staffs unprofessionalism. My co workers and I come to this establishment 24/7 and it is ridiculous to even be treated like this. Also the company I work for orders catering as well! ALOT. Very bad customer service!!!!! I will not be back.
The food is fresh and very well prepared. Shared plates are large and feed 3-4 as starters. Wonderful staff that lets you take your time.
One of our diners has a dairy allergy and they were so accommodating and everything came out tasty and dairy free. 5 stars!
Service was ridiculous. Waited at least 15 minutes between each visit to the table.
Great food. Good selection of beers. Often crowded. Make a reservation early!
Went to celebrate my sis for her birthday and Kelly was so awesome! I’m never disappointed when i dine at Farmers Fishers Bakers. The Salmon was AMAZING! And definitely try the Purple & Black Kale salad - Delicious! I can’t wait to go back
Amazing tuna with Brussels sprouts ! All five of us had rave comments about every dish. Nice wine list too.
Amazing food, and excellent service. Went to celebrate our anniversary and we were not disappointed! Crab dip was so good! And try the fish special!
Food and service are always great!
The service was excellent but the steak was of a poor quality and over cooked.
