We went on a slow Tuesday night, the ambience was great, we were seated immediately, that however, is where the "great" stopped. Our waitress got one drink order and attempted to leave the table before all 4 had ordered, we had to stop her from walking away after each person asked for a drink. She then disappeared for 20 minutes returning with empty glasses. She barely paid any attention to us, one of the hosts to take our order. He didn't know what kind of beans came with the meal, and could not tell us how spicy the chicken was so one of our guests ordered something she could not tolerate. They brought the salads at the same time as the meal, did not clear any plates, and forgot to bring water refills the whole night. We saw our waitress twice, and had to ask the man clearing the table at the end of our meal for the desert menu.
I will say, the ice cream was good. We will not be back, and I do not recommend the restaurant. So many amazing places in Georgetown, skip this one.
The food and service was amazing. Will definitely be back
From the moment we walked into the restaurant we knew it was going to be good! Especially since it was a Monday night and there was a long wait (luckily we had a reservation). The drink choices were fun and great, bartender had perfect recommendations! The wings were on the top of my list as one of the best! The sushi, sliders, poke, salads, seafood were all delicious. The service was a little slow but it just seemed to be circumstantial. We waited for a long time for one item that was missing from one of our entrees and since it didn’t arrive until way into our meal, the manager came over and took it off our bill AND offered us free desserts (which were delicious). We will definitely be back on our next visit to DC!!
Amazing food! Service was a bit slow, but it was busy and worth the wait.
I liked the location of the restaurant and how everything is made in house. I did not like that there was not a kids menu available. Ordered a California roll (for a child) and asked for no wasabi, and asked if it was spicy, and was told it was not spicy; the rolls came out and they were indeed too spicy and no one ate them. Also they do not have regular sodas available other than Coke; asked for a Sprite, was advised for the house made version, which did not taste at all like Sprite but rather a sour lemonade. I ordered the seafood platter which came with corn and a slaw. The server did not clarify the side was a cold corn (I was anticipating a hot corn dish rather than a cold corn salad). Despite having made a reservation a while ago, the table we were given was not a preferred table (very last table in the row facing the service area), which was a bit disappointing. I would try this restaurant again, however I feel a few tweaks would make it so much better!
Went for lunch with friends. Try the hot crap dip! That and desserts and honestly all you need to get! The drinks are a bit pricey but they make them strong and worth it.
I made our reservation several weeks out in honor of mine and my now Fiance's engagement. The staff was very accommodating and gave us a table somewhat to our selves. We have eaten there previously for brunch and love it as well!
I came here with my husband and in-laws to celebrate our anniversary. Waiting area was packed when we walked in. Tried to hit the bar while we waited - also packed. We were late being seated but each host(ess) was very nice and apologetic/explanatory of the situation. Our server was absolutely amazing despite being crazy busy and having some overly needy tables. Everything we ordered was perfect and came out quickly. We also found it all surprisingly well-priced. The whole place seemed to run like a well-oiled machine. We were more than happy.
We had guests in town and wanted to take them out somewhere near the water. We had made a reservation, and had to still wait due to the tables not turning over as fast as your restaurant had anticipated. It was about a half an hour wait. Seemed a bit disorganized. We did enjoy the food, and the desserts were also very good.
This restaurant has a wide variety of options for dinner so everyone should be able to find something they like. The place is very bustling....located near the water so during warmer weather - I am sure being outside would be fun. The Chicken Salad Club Sandwich was excellent as was the Crab Louie Salad. The Scallops Mueniere with Butternut Risotto was delicious. We had a 7:15 reservation and had to wait about 25 minutes but that was not a problem....the bar had many choices of fun cocktails, wine and beers.
Waited 30 minutes for our table after our reservation was scheduled for. Bread and broth appetizer was as bland as it a sounds. Needed more salt in the broth or something. Got the watermelon and tomato carpaccio which was okay. For the main meal I had the steak frites which was not very good. The steak was way overcooked and was cut poorly. It was pair with a pile of peas. Tasted as bland as it sounds as well. Poor service waitress was hard to find.
Service was good but the food is amazing. Overall very good experience.
Great experience! Definitely recommend the hot crab dip! Certainly make a reservation as wait times can be long.
I was seated 10 minutes after my reservation and had to wait another 10 minutes for a server to come fill up our water glasses. Other than the rocky start to the meal, everything else went smoothly. Our server Tiffany was attentive and made sure we got everything we asked for at the table. The food was incredible, with a variety of options. Dessert choices were very limited and I was surprised at the lack of seafood dishes since "Fishers" is in the name of the restaurant.
Overall, I would recommend this place for a nice occasion but be prepared to spend a good amount and don't hold your breath for a wide dessert selection.
We went for Saturday brunch before taking a cruise to check out the cherry blossoms. Reservations are highly recommended as the place was very crowded. Even with the reservation we had to wait almost 30 minutes to get seated. The menu is buffet only, for $32 / person. There were a few other items made to order like salmon / california rolls and fried shrimp. We also got biscuits and cinnamon rolls to start. All the food was very good although there was a bit of a wait for a couple of the popular items like the fried chicken. They have a long list of tiki / tropical drinks as well as some of the traditional brunch drinks (Bloody Marys, mimosas, bellinis, etc.) Service was excellent and speedy even with the big crowd.
Best brunch ever. Get your reservations in now!
Met a friend for lunch. Neither of us had even been there. Both of us had a delicious meal. And great service!
Food and service were excellent. A bit pricey but totally worth it!
Absolutely loved the food there! The crab dip and deep dish pizza were delicious. Would definitely recommend
We had a business lunch for 7.
Atmosphere - We had a fun spot up front in a semi-private room. It was a HUGE table and wonderfully lit with large windows, but the table was SO large, it was hard to have a full conversation with the whole group. I could only hear 1/2 the table. The music was a bit loud for this room - I wish it had a control level for just that room. None-the-less, the room was very welcoming!
The Food - There is a great variety of food available and they are very accommodating for any food allergies or dietary needs. Specialty items and drinks too were wonderful. Each meal was scarfed up and truly enjoyed. Thumbs up for the great food! The portions were plentiful, enough but not too much.
Staff - Super friendly, knowledgeable and prompt.
Our server was phenomenal! Patient, knowledgeable and kind. He was great to work with! I also left my purse in the bathroom and when I discovered that it was gone, he was on the scene and immediately helped me locate it! The downside of our experience was the reservation experience - our attendee numbers went up and the restaurant was not able to accommodate us. We also got several calls to confirm the reservation, which was annoying. We could have had a larger party but were dissuaded from doing so, which was lost revenue for the restaurant. With all that said, it was the server who rescued this evening for all of us! He was the best!!
One of my all time favorite stops, especially in the summer. The food is always amazing but the staff really go above and beyond to ensure your while dining experience is amazing!
A very thorough and complete menu. Excellent service. Some unique menu items as well. Good wine list. The pickled menu items were outstanding, particularly the pickled salad. We enjoyed our experience there and will return if we're in the area.
This was my third visit to the restaurant, I absolutely love the energetic atmosphere and menu sections. Customer service is always excellent! The waiters are very familiar with the menu and are very helpful when trying to make a dinner selection. I had a hard time deciding between the Rockfish special and Jambalaya, but ultimately went with the Jambalaya. I was not disappointed.
Best food we had in dc. Our waiter from El Salvador was charming. Will be back.
Food was excellent, staff was great and very accommodating to food allergies. Will definitely be back!
Busy Saturday afternoon with sunshine and nice weather. Wait staff revolved a bit, but we never felt forgotten.
As always very good. Now one of my husband's favorites.
I like to bring my friends to Farmers Fishers and Bakers because they can bring their dogs if we sit on the terrace. The staff are really friendly and take great care of my friends pets!
This was my second time here but my first time having brunch. On a Sunday afternoon this place is packed! Thank goodness we had a reservation but we still had to wait almost 45 mins for a table. Thankfully we still had enough time to eat brunch once we were seated. The food was outstanding! This is not your average brunch/buffet items. The fried chicken was nicely seasoned and the skin was very crispy. Perfect to along with the French toast because you don't lose the crispness from the syrup. The eggs were fluffy and the crab & artichoke dip was delicious. The sweet tea was actually sweet (which is hard to find in the DC area). Some of the grilled zucchini was too charred and the grits had good flavor but were a little lumpy. Lots of variety and I plan to go back.
Justin was a great server!! I hope we were decent guests and I can keep the “very cool guests” status
Definitely recommend reservation gets packed. Had a good variety of foods but we didn’t know half of what everything was because it wasn’t labeled, so it was just a guessing game. But sometimes that’s the fun of it. Wish they had better deals on mimosas/drinks, 9$ for a mimosa on top of 32 all you can eat adds up. Otherwise definitely recommend trying this place out.
My husband and I had a delicious brunch with such a great variety of options. Our daughters gave us a gift certificate for our anniversary. I did not enjoy sitting so close to the diners on either side of our table and it made getting up from the table a bit more difficult than it should have been. Our server was attentive.
Great food, great experience, too close to everyone else to the point that we could hear each other’s conversations.
Thank You Sunday Brunch- We had a GREAT Time.... The Food Is Off The Charts...
Yummy Everything !!!! We have dined there more than five different times with family and friends from Birthdays too just because... NEVER a Disappointment...... The Food is Priced Right, Great Atmosphere Delicious Food .. Tables For 2 and Most Important Tables BIG enough for Family To seat Together ....
Brunch is great, but the price point is always very high for kids who don't eat much. Also would like signs on the food to identify which items are vegetarian! Table service for passed items is always a bit slow.
Our experience was great, we waited a bit for seating, but the food came quickly after we ordered. The waitress was cheerful and very nice. The hummingbird cake was delightful. The wine was coolness.
I once went to their brunch and since it's a buffet, there service wasn't an issue. However, the dinner service is another story. Despite having reservations, they sat us next to a door that opens constantly and the cold drift is just unbearable. To their credit, the manager found us a better table. Ordered a bottle of wine and after waiting 20 minutes were told they were out but that they had a similar bottle. French fries that came with the sliders were completely stale. Mussels were totally watered. No reason to return.
Food was AMAZING ! Service needs work in prep setting for courses and basic table maintenance and awareness.
This was my first visit to Farmers, Fishers and Bakers. Candidly I had not had a great experience at another Farmer's restaurant but wanted to give the group a second chance. I am glad that I did. The food was on point and the service was great. One thing to consider - it takes a little bit of a longer wait because the food is rather fresh - something that is a plus BUT should be considered if folks are thinking of a quick in and out date.
