Farmers Fishers Bakers Ratings and Reviews
This was my first time coming for dinner and the service was excellent... The food... not so much. The crab dip app was heavy on the onions and light on the crab. The salmon entree was delish but the twice baked potato was served cold in the center and didn't taste good at all. I will just stick to brunch from now on.
The service was excellent. Very attentive and prompt on a busy Valentine's evening. The food was excellent. The mussels were best we had in long time. Pretzels were hot chewy and just right amount of salt. The main dish was piping hot just the way it should be not warm like others. Overall excellent experience. Recommend highly.
Everything was great for the most part. Our server Kelly was awesome! The only downfall was my steak. I ordered the Maui ribeye and I was disappointed. It was really dry and over cooked when I asked for it medium. I don’t send food back unless it’s completely messed up so I dealt with it but I know I wouldn’t order that steak again.
Food was excellent. A variety for all. A bit noisy - we were seated close to the bar even though we had requested a quiet area on our reservations. Next time I know to ask for further back in restaurant. Service was prompt and server very good with recommendations. Would go back again and recommend to friends. Thank you!
Consistent. We had a reservation, but still had to wait about 10-15 minutes. It was a Saturday night, so kind of understandable. Had family in town visiting, great spot for visitors!
Usually a great view of the Potomac, but happened to be a foggy rainy evening.
Best meal at FFB is Brunch. Hands down!
Honestly, this is the second time I made reservations for my husbands birthday ,Feb 2017 and Feb 2018. We were seated 45 minutes after our reservation with no apologies, no mention of his birthday, no offer of a desert on the house. We had a party of 6 with guests from out of town-embarrassing to say the least. I guess the old saying rings true...fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. NEVER AGAIN!!
Not that there was anything over all wrong with her experience. The service was absolutely top-notch I can't stop telling people about how much they cared about my wife's garlic allergy and made sure that there was no issues. However the food for the price was lackluster. The steak frites the steak was chewy and the fries were cold. However the sauce that came with it was to die for and would come back just to buy the sauce.
The chicken tenders were crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside with a "sneak up on you" spot of mild heat after the smooth chicken flavor. Corn succotash was fresh and flavorful. I had the pork belly nigiri. It melted in my mouth! No chewing needed. The seared tuna also just melted in my mouth. My daughter got the 3 -piece baby burgers (sliders). The hamburger patties we're seasoned and cooked properly. Liz took great are of us even when she was busy with several tables. The only negative I can see is I should have brought stomach!
Out waiter Mikey/Mike (young african american) was great. He was professional, personable, friendly and quick. He would check on us but he didn't hover. Which was great. Because the hosting staff was confused as to where to seat us for our 11:30am reservation. There were only a few tables with people at the time, the restaurant was practically empty. After the hostess and host/waiter (bald, bearded jamacian gentleman) went back and forth and decided on where to sit us. I asked not to be seated by the window because it was so cold outside. So the young man decided to sit us in front of the revolving door. I explained it was too cold to sit front of a revolving door bringing in cold air. At which point the young man promptly became offended and told me to pick a table. I was stunned. This guy was so rude. We just didn't want to sit by a window or door. It was 30° outside and the restaurant was empty. I wasn't rude to him in my request so why get rude or have an attitude with me. So thanks to Mikey for being so professional and positive he and helped shake off the male hosts negative demeanor. Oh and the bathroom needs water in the faucets and paper towels. The UV air sanitizer is pointless because we have to touch the doorknobs again. Not everyone washes their hands and not everyone uses soap and water to wash their hands. A paper towel can be used for the door knob. Cold and flu season is rampant and patrons should be protected if possible. Additionally, the water in the women's bathroom trickled out as if the pipes were leaking. Making it almost impossible to wash your hands properly. So just be warned it will take you quite a while to wash your hands properly. But try the hot Apple Toddy on a cold day, delish.
Our server took good care of us. They seemed to have less variety then last time we were there-but they are consistent with quality. Seems every time we go we are seated at least 10-15 min after our reservation time, and there isn't a convenient place to wait.
Went for the Sunday brunch and was TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY! Great and unique food options and combinations. The freshness of all he food was to die for. The service was excellent by Lauren and Troy. We did not feel rushed. We will definitely go back so and more. I already referred several friends to check out this restaurant and brunch!
Food not so good, just okay. I expected it to be much better, and I tasted a few things. Crab dip definitely not good. Shrimp scampi was okay but nothing to write home about. Mini burgers were okay too, but I’ve had better at several different restaurants. The service was not good at all busy the server but the manager made a strong attempt to make it better for us which was GReAT! All in all I don’t have to go back.
I took my mom here for dinner and she loved it... as did everyone in the restaurant based on the waitlist and no reservation between 4:30pm and 9:00pm when looking 24 hours in advance. We booked a late reservation but got there an hour early. Luckily we found bar seating and I feel like the service was just as on point as it would have been at a table. The food and drinks were delicious and I will definitely be returning!
Food was amazing. The entire restaurant smelled like the food was pure evoking an almost primal response, like you've been cast back in time to a time before preservatives and tainted drinking water and pollution. Our server, Yara, was wonderful and easily answered all of our questions and offered great advice on what to order.
All in all we had a great time and loved the experience.
