Farmers Fishers Bakers
The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.
The wait time was a little long. They also ran out of appetizer options by 8pm. We really enjoyed the atmosphere.. We will return in hopes of trying those appetizers.. The water was great. Thanks
My birthday! Overall, they did provide the level of service we have come to expect. During brunch they typically bring around additional items such as fried shrimp. We saw them offer those items to other tables, but not ours. E left without a single offer outside the buffet. Very disappointing.
We had a 12:30 pm reservation but did not get seated until 1pm. Strike 1. We waited an incredibly long time for our drink orders. Strike 2. The waitress charged our cards incorrect amounts. Strike 3.
The brunch buffet food quality was not very good. It’s much better when ordering directly from the menu.
The foods was great. Only complaint is that we’re out of towners and didn’t realize you couldn’t order cocktails till 10 o’clock and weren’t able to get drinks with our food.
Wait service was awful just like their sister restaurant. It doesn’t matter how bad their service is they feel they are privileged to receive the max and when they don’t they complain about it in front of the customers! How about provide half way decent service first?
Seated 20 minutes after our reservation. Normally I wouldn't care, but we watched two different couples walk in after us who were seated before us. At the table, the app came out quickly, but there were no plates. Our drinks came out about 10 minutes after the app. Water was not provided until we were about half way through our entrees. Overall, very disappointing dining experience.
The food was good but it was extremely over crowded where they had us sitting. There were at least 20+ 2 person tables which was extremely crowded and made the dinner experience uncomfortable.
The crab dip was by far the best thing about our experience. The service at the bar was slow.
The food was ok. Nothing outstanding. I would rate the total experience as average.
Usually a great meal, but the steak was cooked four different ways throughout and my enchilada was very bland and dry
I was really disappointed in the food. I went to FFB in December for a team lunch and everything was delicious so I thought it would be an excellent choice for Galentine’s. However, from the pretzel to the loaded baked potato, the entire meal was lukewarm/cold. We sent the pretzel back but when my entree came out that was cold too, I just felt bad having to make another complaint. My friend had the honey chicken which was basically the fried chicken with honey drizzle on it. She didn’t like her meal so she barely touched it. I may give this place another try but it will be awhile and certainly not at dinner time.
The place was a bit noisy I couldn’t hear the person next to me.
Having had great experience at Distillers, Founders, and brunch at Bakers we wanted to try dinner here. Our crab & artichoke dip was tasty and so were the pepper wings that, unfortunately, were luke warm and sent back. I had the jambalaya topped w/pulled pork & ribs. She had the fish fry (shrimp, crab cake, white fish). For some reason her fries were omitted. We had a 4:30 reservation and it was not packed so we were puzzled at the mistakes by the kitchen. Both entrees looked beautiful, her fish fry was perfectly cooked, crunchy outside nice and flaky inside. But both were pretty much bland, surprisingly. The other 2 Farmer’s are still good with us but will not come back here for dinner.
I think for the price I would go somewhere else. I was not impressed with the food or the drinks.
I now experienced three Founding Farmers locations in the DMV for brunch. All have provided great service and decent food options for brunch. However, by far the Tysons Corner location has the best variety to choose from and more space.
The brisket on the brunch buffet was amazing!! Best we've ever had!
Excellent location with excellent food, and excellent service!
Restaurant was a little noisy for me. I’ll request a booth next time to block out some of the noise. Food was fantastic with good portions. Service was decent but could be better for the restaurant. Will definitely visit again even with the subpar service.
Great good and environment. Only thing I personally didn’t like was how extremely loud it was.
Great service and food! Gets very busy and loud at lunch time.
The restaurant is nice and cozy. The brunch was just okay. The food was not warm or hot. The service was good. The kale salad was yummy, but I will not go back for brunch.
Great service and best dessert value ($2 donut with ice cream is a steal of a lifetime)!
Holy smokes our key lime pie was incredible. Left a lasting impression!
Food, service, and overall quality was excellent! We unfortunately got crammed into a corner table where I was either looking at a server’s station, a wall, or a metal bull statue’s butt. If you can avoid that specific table, the quality and range of food is worth stopping in for!
Hi EverydayDiner: Hooray!! Thank you so much! :) We appreciate it and call us anytime for a reservation needed in the future: 202-298-8783. -Amy
Despite making a reservation and telling them it was a special date we were seated at the worst table in the house in the middle of the floor in front of the kitchen entrance. Many cozy booths were empty our entire stay. Food was good but nothing notable. Waiter was delightful but over seated.
It was my daughter’s birthday and I mentioned it when I made the reservation and when I walked in. But no acknowledgement was made. But that’s OK. I ordered the grilled chicken. It was a bit rubbery and I told the server That I didn’t want it. He asked if I wanted something else but I explained that we had 7 o’clock tickets at the Kennedy Center so at 6:40 I didn’t have time to order anything else. He didn’t offer to take it off the bill. He didn’t offer a “to go” order. He didn’t offer dessert on the house. I took it home and the dog loved it. Otherwise it was a delightful meal.
The brunch menu has so much variety and everything was delicious.
We love brunch at Farmers Fishers Bakers. It certainly is a bit pricy, but is so delicious and worth the splurge.

We arrived early, but didn't get seated until ~30 minutes after our reservation time. The server couldn't answer basic questions about menu items, even after checking with the manager. She gave three different answers to whether the impossible tacos were vegan. Then forgot our fries. Then we got overcharged for at least one item: the beer was listed on the menu at $10 for a glass (not a taster), when it came out it was a paltry 8 oz pour (not mentioned on the menu), and then when we got the bill discovered they charged us $12. And the chicken was dry.
Hi BP12: Thank you for sharing your review with us, and I am so so sorry to read about the many mishaps that took place during your visit this past weekend. :( I would love the chance to follow up and hopefully turn around the poor impression we left you with. I will send you a DM with my email address to continue this conversation. -Amy
Extremely long wait on a busy rainy night but host was thoughtful enough to send over some appetizers on the house once we finally got a table. Food and service great as usual.
The cioppino was delicious!
Great food and good experience.
The restaurant is packed, at all times. They pack the tables in - which means that intimate dining isn't really a thing here.
Our food was good, but not great. We ordered an appetizer (the crab and artichoke dip) - it was awesome. Served hot, and the bread on the side was perfectly seasoned.
Our meals were served warm - not hot. Which was a bit disappointing. My husband ordered the Chicken and Doughnut - sweet and salty. The chicken was warm - but not piping hot as one would expect from a fried meal. I had the shrimp scampi. The meal had good flavor - but I found a bit of a crunch here and there (sand? shells??), but beyond this - it was just okay.
They ran out of Jack Daniel's the night we were there - which was disappointing as my husband was interested in a drink with Jack.
I'd give it another shot - just wasn't exactly as exciting or memorable as we had hoped dining for a birthday out!
I love this place. Brunch today was so good.

We love the Brunch! Great diversity and interesting items.
Hi ArlingtonFoodie: Thank you for your feedback and we will take into account what you shared about the booths in your PM. Much appreciated and we hope to have you back sometime soon! -Amy
My glass for water was dirty. The tables and partitions were dusty. I didnt catch his name but one African American gentleman noticed the filth and began wiping them down. Everyone else seemed not to care. Kudos to you!! The food was bland and not worth the price sense their was no variety. Tables were so close and small I had nowhere to put my purse. We got there when they opened but food was cold!! I should have went to Toni and Joe's acroos the way like we always do...a little more pricier but totally worth it.
Super yummy brunch- the French toast was divine !!
Drinks should be free refills for the non alcoholic drinks. Sit children and families in areas together so that those without such burdens and stress can enjoy the brunch in peace with a pleasant adult ambiance!!!
I don't like most restaurants in DC, but this one is a great one. The food is consistently good, and I feel welcome. The staff is always very kind.
Loud environment but service was very good and the food was well prepared.
