We went on Veterans Day, buffet. I would have preferred that the French Toast was warmer but it taste so good with the bananas foster. The parmesan grits was not good. The donuts taste like sugar. The honey butter fried chicken was great. The vegetable scrambled eggs was seasoned well. The carved meats and tacos were good. The guacamole was fresh and tasty. The ambiance was great.

Their veterans day offer was so great! We love the food here anyway and it was just really nice to come to a more local restaurant instead of a crowded chain with too many people for a freebie. Thanks for supporting the troops, it makes us feel good--and welcome!

We were a large group and the food was fine but the service was defficient, no napkins, no silverware, we had to get up and get it by ourselves after around 30 mins of being seated.

Great food. Staff seemed stretched a bit thin, but trying. Don't eat here if you are in a rush.

Despite the expansive menu, everything we tried was great. I would have preferred smaller portions on the entrees given we wanted to try lots of things but just ended up taking home leftovers and skipping the desserts.

Unfortunately, our service left a lot to be desired. We seemed to have received two servers but they weren't communicating so we didn't get our water or most of our drinks for about 20 minutes until we flagged someone down, then they came over with double our drink order. Even when we ordered food, one server took our order then 5 minutes later the other came to take our order like it had never happened. Each time we were very clear that another server helped with x but they didn't seem to work through it the entire time we were there.

Slow and unapologetic service. Waited half hour for two drinks and was told it takes that time since it was homemade soda. Ordered salad before entree, but it was brought out after. Told staff we were celebrating a special birthday, but they did nothing special other than to wish our daughter a happy birthday when she was leaving. Almost all restaurants do something for birthdays, right? Sent back entree as it was an ahi tuna burger, but sloppy and gloppy with little tuna. Real disappointment for a 13th birthday celebration dinner.

Brunch selections are excellent, however, the wait for food (when replenishing) was a bit long and the egg station was unattended for quite a while.

Packed as usual but quality team effort by FFB crew. Thank you for an enjoyable morning.

Went out for brunch on my birthday. Picked this restaurant because we had heard really good things and had enjoyed other restaurants owned by founding farmers. The hostess and our server were very nice, but the food was below par. Items were dried out and didn’t have much flavor. Not a great “brunch” selection, and overall not worth the price. Will not be returning.

Had a poor server. Very slow to pick up empty dishes (we had a buffet) and was rarely seen. Food options were great.

We from out of town (Orlando, FL) - came to celebrate my sons birthday. The location and ambiance was perfect. The servicer was nice, knowledgeable and quick. When the food came every thing was good including the drinks from the bar. I would definitely recommend this place or come back especially if I’m a group.

Tables are too close together and thus the noise level is even worse. I ate there two nights in a row. Food was terrific both nights. But this is not the place to take people you hope will have a dialogue.

The service and staff were excellent, the view is incredible, and the facility very well maintained. Unfortunately, the dishes were not delivered as ordered, including a request to omit items due to an allergy (for one dish) and forgetting a side item for another order. Fortunately the allergy was an intolerance rather than a life threatening concern. The staff were very responsive and the manager visited to express their concern and offer to remedy, which was very much appreciated, but the overall experience was hit and miss.

May have been a bad night for the restaurant, but two options on the menu were not available. Soup came out cold. Asked that soup and salads be served first. Soup and main course arrive same time. Food was soso. Kitchen had problems that night.

We were there for our last night in DC. The food tasted good but, the server forgot to put our order in; the the food came out cold. The restaurant manager and server stepped up and really tried to make our experience a good one. We will try this place again on another trip.

We heard wonderful things about this place so we rushed in, it was quite great! We enjoyed the crab and artichoke dip along with a burger and the seafood fry combo. Great server, great wine, great time.

It’s great for brunch, but I recommend getting in before noon, if you can. We had a reservation and were seated at 1pm. Shortly after we were seated, they stopped bringing around the pizza and shrimp on platters. We saw 1 of each, but neither made it over to our side of the restaurant. They ran out of cinnamon rolls. Some dishes at the buffet weren’t being refreshed. The food we had was good and I would like to go back. I just won’t go unless I can get a reservation at a more ideal time.

Come hungry! Great variety in the brunch menu choices. Seriously, something for everyone. They seated us promptly at our reservation time. Trust me, you won't be eating dinner in the evening after this meal. Wonderful area and it worked perfect as a dining option before a performance at the Kennedy Center. It's busy but the staff does a wonderful job. Top notch.

The food was good with many options. As someone who can't eat eggs but is often invited to brunch, I appreciated all of the foods available. The service left something to be desired. I was charged $5 for a coffee which should have been complimentary with the brunch menu, and we had trouble getting other items because the server wouldn't come back to the table.

Great place to go if you do not mind waiting, even with a reservation, or are not too hungry. The place is always packed and the food is so varied and prepared well. Don't go if you want to have a real conversation unless you bring some personal amplification device. The noise level is always at a +10!!

Hi CFroe: I am real sorry your experiences with us have been met with an overly noisy environment and sometimes a wait with a reservation. :/ We really appreciate your patience with our team, and also will take what you shared into consideration for the level of our music. Thank you so much and we hope to have you back soon. -Amy

My sister and I visited DC for a conference and Farmers Fishers Bakers was by far our favorite dining experience! We were there for over two hours and had the soft pretzels, spaghetti and little neck clam pasta, white wine and garlic mussels, apple pie and lattes, and a bottle of wine. Our sever was knowledgeable and the meal was paced out beautifully. They were fully booked for the evening, so be sure to make reservations in advance. Great ambiance and music selection. We were not disappointed and would absolutely recommend; we only wish we lived close enough to return. If you visit for dinner, be sure to take a fresh donut along for breakfast the next morning. We also admired the enormous pots of kettle corn served straight from stove to table, although we were entirely too full to try it.

This is the first time I have a bad experience in FFB. The ribeye was full of fat (yes, I know this cut has fat! But no half of the served portion). One of the drinks ordered never arrived. The waiter was kind of rude, specially when we complain about the steak.

The brunch buffet was fun and festive - maybe a little overpriced at $32 when you consider how much food you actually end up eating (and alcohol is not included in that). Our server wasn't great either and didn't explain how the brunch buffet worked. We were under the impression that the sushi would be brought around on trays (as it was the last time we went) and our server didn't mention that there was actually a sushi bar now, which we totally missed out on. The food WAS good though, and the other staff was quick to help when we needed to order anything else.

Arrived at the restaurant around 9:30PM and were told about an hour and 15 min wait...then I decided to check open table and was able to make a reservation for 10PM so we got to bypass the extremely long wait times which was great.

The service was good - nothing extraordinary. We got the spicy fried chicken, fried catfish platter, and margherita pizza. Though I read mediocre reviews on the pizza we decided to try it anyways and it was indeed, very just ok. Would not get again. However, the chicken and the catfish were both really really spectacular and if it weren't for the pizza I would wholeheartedly rate the food five stars. Would highly recommend!!

The night didn't start well. We arrived early for our reservation. The gentleman acknowledged us and said he wouldn't be able to seat us until the reservation. Five minutes before the reservation, I checked with the hostess and she said he'd marked our party as partially present which is why we hadn't entered the seating queue. Fifteen minutes after our reservation we were finally seated.
