   Ran out of scallops, but didn’t tell us till 15 minutes after all other ordered entrees were served. Then, only compensation offered was a free entree to replace the sold out scallops.

   Although there were many stations for food at brunch, they were often empty and the lines long. Several dishes were so salty they were inedible.

   We had a reservation and arrived 15 minutes early. We were seated about 45 min after our reservation time. There was no place to sit. We were never given updates on how long it would be. I felt like we were forgotten. It was very hard to hear in tge restaurant. I couldn’t find how the gluten free items were marked. I never learned what the specials were. There was print on the menu that was too small to read. But the wait staff was very good, the food exceptional.

   We had a great time eating food and our waiter was attentive. The only problem is the umbrella in the outdoor sweating didn’t cover the entire table. But other than that the whole experience was great.

   Excellent, I made my reservation from Florida, because we were going to Washington for our daughter's graduation and I wanted it to be special, the location of the restaurant is spectacular, the food was delicious, all the employees were very friendly, we had a nice table with a good view, I recommend this place for any occasion

   The buffet was not clean and not kept up. It was very expensive and the quality of food was not the same as the regular menu. Love their food normally but would not come back for the brunch buffet.

    No fault of the servers, but service was slow because of how busy it was. They ran out of glasses so we didn’t have water for a while. Our server was very nice and the food was delicious. They were also very accommodating to my dietary needs.

    We arrived at 830 pm on a friday. Our server was on her second shift. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks and longer for our apps. They were out of hamburgers, soft pretzel appetizers and fried calamari. We have gone to FFB many times and this was extremely disappointing. It was a busy weekend in DC for graduations, so perhaps this was the cause. I would try it again but not on a weekend.

    Very frustrated with last two visits here. One of my favorite places during the four years my son has been at GW. Last visit, they were out of BEER, yes all beer,, pretzels and a few others things. Today, they were out of pretzels , the one entree my wife wanted and then after getting my dish, which was supposed to be shrimp calamari snd mussels, i noticed there was no calamari. upon asking the waitress, she told me she recently heard they were out of calamari. Why didn’t she tell me? i never would have gotten the dish, as don’t really love mussels and really was looking forward to the shrimp snd calamari. waitress did nothing with the bill. spent $350. may be done with FFB.

    Made a reservation weeks in advance for a pre-graduation lunch for 7. Showed up on time. Waited patiently for almost an hour to be seated. Waited an additional hour for food. Food was sub-par including a long hair wrapped inside sushi roll. Manager finally appeared and was apologetic…offered to buy us a round of drinks after being there 2.5 hours. Comped us for the hairy sushi. Won’t ever go back.

    Food was mid and service was slow. They wouldn’t serve us breakfast/brunch even though tables around us had breakfast an hour after we had sat down. Food was laughable honestly, overrated and overpriced.

    We had a big group of 9 people for my graduation dinner. We actually didn't have to wait very long for a table and our waitress took very good care of us. She knew the menu well and accommodated various allergies and dietary restrictions. The food overall was good. Some meals better than others, but I'd come back again. We particularly enjoyed the spaghetti and class and the desserts.

    Great spot to visit while in DC! This place was recommended to us by a local and it did not disappoint. Cocktails, food, and service were all great. We even got a table overlooking the common area and river. Very energetic and busy atmosphere with lots of options to choose from on the menu. Almost too hard to pick! Best appetizer we had was the ahi tuna ceviche.

    We LOVE this place. We went for our anniversary dinner before going to the theater. We had 5pm reservations to make sure we had enough time. Got our drinks and food no problem. Then didn't see our server for about 30 minutes. It was 5pm on a Monday. Inside tables had about 4 groups and outside had about 5. But as time went on, more tables were being taken up. Not sure what happened to our server. This was actually our second time with her and she was great before and at the beginning of this visit. She finally came back and we ordered cookies but they only had one kind out of four so we passed and asked for our check. Took another 10 minutes for that and then we waited another 10 for her to return. But she didn't return so we took the check to the hostess stand to pay. While there we asked how long they were going to keep charging the $5 recovery fee. Manager said not too much longer. Just felt like we were being gauged. Surely they received restaurant recovery money so why keep "taxing" the customers. Visit was a bit disappointing especially since we drove over an hour just to enjoy our anniversary dinner with them. Btw my husband still appropriately tipped the server. Still not sure what the problem was but didn't want to blame it all on her. We are hoping things are better next time we go.

    Reliably good food Great location. Service is persistently off: last three visits: 1) had to go get utensil and soy sauce after 15 mins and asking 2 people, 3x, without response. 2) had to ask for spoon twice for my client guest, also had to ask for soy sauce twice 3) had to chase down server to close out bill. I have been going there for 10 years as my office building is close; the management just can’t seem to mail down their service. but i do line the food and location so put up with it. You just need to manage the servers very closely or you end up waiting without them responding to your asks. Who is in charge?

    I hate to give bad reviews but this is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant and the most expensive. I paid $200 for a ruined mother's day dinner and was even brought to tears at one point. Reservation was at 8pm but we arrived at 7pm and they quickly seated up. That was the only thing that went right that night. We finally left at 9:30pm after a torturous and terrible dinner. Waiter I think was on drugs and left in the middle of our service to have a conversation with the manager. Service was super slow. I was served the St Louis pizza which a $1 store pizza would have tasted better. It was a crust with some dried up red sauce and some dried cheese. The fried catfish had a layer of salt and pepper on top that made the fish inedible. We ordered a plate of chocolate covered strawberries and it was strawberries on a plate with chocolate poured on top so the strawberries were stuck to the plate. They replaced the pizza but after my family was done eating. I blew a great mother's day night at this awful restaurant. I was fooled by the reviews and I will make sure to post my review everywhere so people aren't duped the way I was. I will never ever return and I was so upset didn't even want to deal with this at that moment.

    We had a late Sunday (Mother’s Day) reservation. After we checked in, we were asked to wait outside for our table to be cleaned. It took 15 minutes to be seated. Drinks (2 glasses of wine) were slow to arrive. Apps came out reasonably quickly, but the server failed to put in our order for 2 skillet cornbreads. He apologized and said he’d get the second in right away. 40 minutes later he apologized again when it had not appeared. We told him at that point not to worry about it, since we had just received our entrees. Her said he’d take it off the bill. A few minutes later, it arrived at the table. The cornbread was really good. It works have been nice to receive both orders at the same time. The cauliflower hummus was also good. The entrees were a mixed bag. The sushi was good. The steak and enchiladas were ok. The chicken sandwich was a dud, and the chicken tenders with onion rings and street corn also was so-so. The chicken was good, but the breading gave a whiff of seafood. The street corn was really good, as were the onion rings. Our outside table was crammed between one of the large umbrella stands and another table. We had to ask the patrons at the other table if they’d mind moving in a little so that I could actually have enough room to breathe (I am 5’10”, 185 lbs so not particularly large). Overall, we had a good time. Everything just seemed a little below the level I would have expected for the price we paid. They did remove the second cornbread skillet from the bill, but we still topped $150 plus tip (with only two glasses of wine) for four people.

    Drinks took over 25 minutes to get. Appetizers came right after drinks and then food 3 minutes later. Salad came out after dinner was served. Timing just made it an unpleasant experience. Food was acceptable but not exceptional in anyway.

    It was a bit of a bummer that we had to wait 30 min even though we had reservations and came on time.     It took a long time to be served and the kitchen forgot our appetizer. Utensils came late. Our server was very kind and apologized for the wait and the forgotten appetizer. Very crowded and noisy. Not a pleasant decor except for the view of the fountain we had. Tuna tartar with avocado was a winner!

    We went as a party of 8 on Mother's Day and it was quite crowded and noisy. The food wasn't terrible, it just wasn't what we expected. The dishes aren't fully described on the menu so when the food arrived at the table, we were a bit taken aback. I ordered the honeypot fried chicken jambalaya and while the two whole pieces of chicken I received were delicious, the rest of the dish was absolutely not jambalaya. There was rice with a dressed salad on top and some picked cabbage. That's it. The crab and artichoke dip was amazing and so were the garlic knots! Our server was also phenomenal and extremely attentive.

    We had reservations on Mother's Day for 4 pm. Arrived on time, and was asked to step behind the front desk area to wait to be seated. As time began to pass we noticed that people who came in after us were being seated, I assumed they had earlier reservations. Then walk-ins were getting seated. My wife goes up to the desk and asks about our status, they tell her we are next. Fifteen minutes after that, we are still not seated. I go up to the desk and let him know we had been waiting 45 mins for a reservation. I see no card on the desk with my name on it, he does a few things on the computer, and all of the sudden we had a table. The food was great, and our waiter Frederick was terrific, but the waiting for a reservation was very frustrating.

    It was Mother's day, but we were seated right at our reservation time of 11:30am. The food was good and for the most part they kept up replenishing the buffet. Our server was attentive. My only complaint was that they never came to our table with pizza or cinnamon rolls!
