Okay, so this is NOT a bed & breakfast in the normal sense... just a room on the other side of the restaurant. It is a very nice room but you do get some noise at night from the bar next door. There is no downstairs sitting area and the opportunity to meet and talk with the owners. That part is missing - more like a hotel room. The ambiance we nice with a view of the creek. The food was okay... but not worth the money. The french onion soup with gruyere cheese was very bland... I would not order again. The steak was good but tasted more like a pot roast. The cookie dessert plate was a variety but all were very hard (if you like that kind). All in all, nice but more of a one time and done...
First of all it is tough for me to write a bad review, but when asked my opinion, I will be truthful. To begin with the ambiance of this establishment is outstanding. They have really covered all the bases, and nothing has gone undone. We stayed at the Inn for Valentine's day and dined in the dining room. The staff was wonderful all the way around. My disappointment came with the food. As I said it was Valentine's day and the menu was preset. There were limited selections at what I felt was an outrageous price ($65.00 per person.) I chose the buttermilk chicken ( I know $65.00 for 2 pieces of chicken) and it was extremely dry, it was actually awful. My husband ordered the filet and it was no bigger than the palm of his hand, served with a side of 2 pieces of asparagus. Again, certainly not a $65.00 per person meal. I wish we could have ordered off the menu, it would have made the whole experience picture perfect. But to spend $130.00 on a meal not be happy is sad. We definitely will be back to give the main menu a try, because as I said earlier the place is a wonderful little slice of heaven right there in Leroy!
My wife and I have been to Farmer's a number of times, usually inviting along friends or family. This was the first time we were disappointed with the food. The portions (scallop preparation) for the price was surprising. My wife had the butternut squash bisque (okay) and the beet salad (mostly greens and very light on beets or additions/toppings). It was the first time for the couple we invited along and they were impressed, as we are, with the atmosphere, service and décor but questioned the value.
I will add that I know my wife and I will be back. We have been very satisfied many times and feel this was probably just a single experience.
Great ambiance and bartender was very friendly and helpful. Waitress was wonderful when we had to ask about which foods were fairy free. Delicious food. A fantastic overall experience! What a gem in LeRoy, NY!

Farmer's Creekside is always a fantastic place for lunch or dinner. This is by far our favorite restaurant in the Rochester area. The food is amazing - better than anything we've had in the city and service is always top notch!
Beautiful location in a historical area, this hidden gem provides a unique experience for all. The menu caters to both elite level foodies as well as diners seeking a more upscale take on tavern style favorites. Do not pass on the opportunity to try the offerings if you are passing through or are a local....believe me, it will become a favorite.
Very nice New Year’s Eve celebration! Overall, great food but arancini made with forbidden rice were tasteless. Shouldn’t try to change a classic item like arancini by using drastically different ingredients!
Limited menu and food is average at best.
Electricity went out a couple times due to blown fuses.
Would have expected establishment to do something nice for guests (like a complimentary dessert or drink) for the inconvenience but they did not.
Just a wonderful place. So glad we're so close. Can't wait for the patio to be open.
The food and staff at Farmer's Creekside have been very good each of the three times we have eaten here. Highly recommend. Not inexpensive, but seems in line with the quality.

We were hoping for a nice, quiet dinner in a great restaurant. The food was very good but it was very noisy--a Buffalo Bills game was going on in the bar area and people were hooting and hollering. Not a good relaxing meal.
The service and food has been exquisite every time we visit. I love the "esoteric" wine list, and since I rarely recognize any of wines offered, my selections are a shot in the dark st best.....and I have yet to be disappointed. However, I must say, the sommelier could have offered a better description of an Orange wine, since his description left me unprepared.
The everchanging bread offerings have always been stellar, and we appreciate that they're no longer a la carte.
My wife loves the duck breast, always perfectly medium-rare. And on our last visit I had the seared scallops with Forbidden rice (again).....soooo good.
The seasonal desserts (English Xmas this time) offered sounded wonderful, and our waitress was very helpful; asking the pastry chef for possible low-fat options (my gall bladder has been giving me grief lately) ......and recommended the fig & cranberry tart (delish)......and no gall bladder complaints that night.
I HIGHLY recommend Creekside.....the best option for exquisite dining in Genesee area.
Food was great, the beer was outstanding, and the service was excellent. We really love this place!
The quiche and venison pastry were outstanding, according to two. One was disappointed in the bread for the chicken salad--apparently, no choice, just rye. We appreciated the left-over Thanksgiving pie gratis, but would have expected some dessert choices. Attention to wine choices by the server was commendable.
Food was absolutely delicious! Truly creative and talented chef! Service was awesome- I had a 9:30 reservation and the waitress (Molly) didn’t rush us and was extremely helpful with suggesting different wines. It’s a definitely must go!!!
My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary so I decided to take her to the Creekside Inn. We were not disappointed. Wonderful experience.
The view and ambiance were wonderful, but the food was mediocre at best. Butternut bisque was bland, venison pie was dry and overcooked, and the cookies were TERRIBLE. We won't be back, but it was beautiful.
Roasted chicken dinner was delicious. Scallop dinner lacked flavor. Scallops were cooked well but it only came with forbidden rice was seemed chintzy. Glad they decided to include the rolls and stop charging for them. Had a great table by the window with a great view.
Each time we make a date night there, we are always pleased. Keep it up. We like the unique changes in dinner selections. We did appreciate the free bread for starters with this visit. The employees there have always been very attentive starting at the bar (very accommodating, making sure you are happy with the selected drinks that are offered) coat check, waiters and waitresses including bus persons. The host was excellent. Everyone is knowledgeable and resourceful. Will make this place our next date night.
We had a party of 4 at 11:30 on November 3rd (Sunday brunch). We generally enjoyed our visit. However, 1 person ordered french toast and another pancakes. We received 2 tiny allotments of syrup then were told (when we asked for more syrup) that 'we are all out of syrup.' This seems absurd. So, if anyone else had ordered a dish the rest of the day that had syrup as a condiment, they wouldn't have received syrup? The waitress was just so-so. She was very unhelpful and very unaccomodating when we asked for more syrup. We didn't think it was an unreasonable request. In addition, 2 people ordered the cornbeef dish in a skillet and one person remarked 'it tasted like regular deli corn beef, nothing special.'
We went early, at 4:45, and were seated next to the large windows overlooking the creek. It was beautiful! It was quiet until about 5:45 or so, so that was nice. The food and service were excellent. Around 6pm, we started to smell a horrible fishy smell coming from the kitchen area. Would not recommend the fish... it didn’t smell right. We ate the venison pie and it was great! Overall, it was a nice date at a nice place.

the service was extremely slow. Even placing the order. People were very nice. Very loud. Was difficult to talk across the table. Food was ok. Scallops were a little over done. The other meal was fine. Soups were very good. I do not mind spending on a nice dinning experience. This was not one.

Since our first experience with Rebecca, who is very knowledgeable about what they serve and how it is obtained, to our most recent experience with Monique, we have always had a wonderful meal and service. We are already booked for another table this week, and plan to be in at least once a week until we move. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed our cocktail and dinner to celebrate my birthday. This is my second time dining at Farmers Creekside. The food is very good BUT I have never been to a upscale restaurant where I had to pay for my dinner rolls. I understand they are “artisan” but I find it outrageous that our party of 4 spent $6.00 on one roll each. Really!! If you want to charge for “artisan breads” but they should be an option. I think dinners deserve some type of bread to accompany their dinner without a charge!!!
We dined on a Sunday. It tasted like the food wasn’t as fresh at it should be. Given the price point we expected better quality.

Beautiful waterfront property with food to match! The French toast was probably the best I’ve ever had. The wine and beer selection is fantastic too and the sommelier was able to pick out wines that paired with our entire party’s food. Definitely worth the drive from buffalo.
My husband and I have always enjoyed going to the Farmer’s Creekside Tavern. The food, service, and ambiance are all superb.
Also, I tried a glass of the Osmote Seneca Lake Chardonnay Friday evening and found it excellent — so much so that I bought some today.
I am really surprised this venue received so many positive revues. The location is nice - across from a picturesque creek - but the food has a lot to be desired and rather pricey for what you get. The roast beef was dry, the lobster roll bland, and the chicken club mediocre at best. The server was pleasant enough, but all in all, I'd give this place a pass.
Probably the best restaurant I've ever been to in the Rochester area. Anything I have ever had here has been amazing. A real gem in the Rochester area!
Sat on the deck (river was noisy but no fault to anyone). Server was the sweetest and fun! The bread & local cheese plate was AMAZING! Entree of the cashew chicken salad was delicious (but maybe slightly overdressed it started to wilt). Dessert of the cake balls and ice cream was yummy!
We really enjoyed the night, the band, and our service! Definitely will visit again!
