I was served water in a glass that was cracked around the rim. I informed the server. He said he'd replace it but I told him that was a serious problem. He got a manager. The manager told me to contact the General manager he gave me a business card for the GM. It was very busy and short staffed. The hostess at the door appeared to be overwhelmed. Overall the experience was ok and the food was delicious.

We booked a table at 9:30am for brunch. We were seated promptly. Nice decor. The waitress was friendly and efficient. My favorites were the fried chicken and the crab dip. I also ordered the bloody mary. I would come back again.
It was less crowded than its sister restaurant on K street in Georgetown. Tney menu is similar.

I had a 9PM reservation for a party of 6 yesterday. It was for a birthday celebration and everyone in the party was military so everyone came from various far away locations for a fun time.

It took 20 minutes for them to "clean the table off" before we were seated. Not the worst problem. It went wrong from there. I ordered a rum and coke that multiple people at the table tasted and it was more like a sweet house made mix cocktail. The waitress argued with me and stated it was a basic rum and coke. Then she said they put agave and some other ingredients in it. I asked for another one which took another 20 minutes. My friend had a beer with his drink that never came. My boyfriend ordered a beer and it never came until he finally reminded her 15 minutes later that he ordered it. My other friend's food came out ice cold. The waitress apologized and said she wasn't sure what happened or why it was left out so long. He waited for a new plate. I ordered ravioli and it was hard and deflated. A water jug refill took 20 minutes. I always order dessert and didnt do so here because the experience was already so bad. We paid the bill, and proceeded to converse while figuring out where we were going next. The waitress walked up and asked if we had mistakenly left the tip off the bill. We hadn't even gotten up and were tipping in cash. After horrible service all night the fact that she then proceeded to stand there to make sure she got a sizeable tip was crazy.

I've only been here twice. The first time was awesome. This time makes me never want to come back.

Our food and drinks were very good. And the donuts were incredible! However, our waiter was not very enthusiastic, and was very very slow. We waited about 30 minutes for our donuts after our meal, which was a little daunting since we got there at 6:45 and didn't make it out until 9:30.

The bread and butter appetizer was a great crusty loaf. My partner had a grain bowl, which was OK. I had the prime rib, which was dry and a bit over cooked.

We visit this restaurant 2x per year when we visit DC.
Our experience is always outstanding but this time disappointed by the service at 4:00pm.
Food is always good but wasn’t pleased for the first time in probably 24 visits.

Our reservation was for 10 people at 8:30 at night. They sat us in a back corner which we had all to ourselves, thankfully, because the restaurant was very noisy. The location of our table was perfect, however it did cause the service to be very slow. The food and specialty cocktails were outstanding. And for DC prices, the value was definitely good.

We went for breakfast at 7 am (opening hour), and everything was terrific. Good waiter who explained menu options, VERY quiet (only 2 other patrons), quick service. A week later we went for dinner: very crowded, arrived on time (but Open Table sent a message that I was a no-show) and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. At first the waiter bugged us to order, but we were too busy talking to look at the menu. Then we ordered appetizers and lingered. Eventually we ordered main courses, which came eventually. Food was "comfort food" as waiter touted. It took 3 requests to get an extra napkin. Tea after dinner was fine. Since we weren't in a hurry, it was an overall good dinner experience and in a convenient location for BOTH of these meals.

Restaurant was packed & very loud even on a Wednesday evening! We tried the “Jefferson Would’ve Loved It” & “F&D Mule” cocktails. Both were really good! Service was great, very attentive. My husband LOVED the Chinese fried chicken & riblets. Seafood pasta with pesto I got was just okay...good but nothing exciting.
We both got coffee definitely try one! Overall a fun place to have dinner & bevs :)

Food was fantastic and different - we got the Kettle Corn appetizer and then I got the Fried Chicken and Donut entrée. SO DELICIOUS.

And, on the way out, we ran into Elizabeth Warren who had also been dining there. So it's cool even for the Presidential candidates!

After waiting nearly 15 minutes to be seated (even though we had a reservation), I was served the wrong entree twice. The manager seemed sincere in wanting to make things right - even offering to get me what I actually ordered to go and free lunch next time I come in. Unfortunately, none of that came to fruition - he was never seen again. When I got the receipt, not only was nothing comped for the trouble, I was charged for both of the incorrect entrees. The whole experience was a disaster, I would definitely not recommend.

Have been to the other restaurants in the Farmers group, first time at Farmers& Distillers. Loved it!! Menu has a lot of options. Hard to choose. Drinks are inventive and really really good. Food is awesome! The fried green tomatoes and the Bolognese were delicious. Prices are extremely reasonable for DC. Service was fantastic. Brian was our server. Ask for him. He was nothing short of amazing.

Food was great as always, which is the only reason this review merited 2 stars instead of 1. Service was HORRIBLE. Just horrible. We had a group of 10 and a reservation. Once finally seated, we had to wait almost 20 minutes before someone brought us water or took our drink orders. Another 30 minute before drinks arrived. We had to flag down staff every single time we needed anything. One in our party asked 3 times for their iced to be refilled and it NEVER was. He finally gave up asking.

We ordered donuts to share for dessert but at that point had no silverware to divide and share. Staff visibly rolled their eyes, slammed plates down, and stormed off when we asked if we could please get some silverware. Really killed the positive donut eating vibes of the group. :)

Really too bad that the service was so bad as the food was otherwise great. But the horrible service ruined the experience of our group.

We made reservation and arrived on time but still had to wait close to 45 mins for our table. I get that it was a pretty busy night but I am not happy with having to wait so long when we already had a reservation and we didn't just walk in. Our table server was excellent, kind, and helpful so that made up for wait time - but it was not a pleasant experience for my entire group of 6 to be hungry and having to wait so long to be seated.
