The brunch buffet is pretty awkward with covid. The menu said our server would build the plates but apparently that is old. It was really confusing where all the food was. Some you had to order from the server and some from the buffet. And some were at other locations? Buffet was pretty low stocked. And they didn’t have enough people working it. Should have at least 3 or 4. It was hard to social distance and made it annoying. I would suggest they work on how they handle or explain things. We were constantly looking for servers to ask where we can get this from and then half of what we wanted was already out. Love them for lunch or dinner but don’t recommend the brunch at this time.
Brunch at Farmers is the best.
Went at 10pm on Saturday and they were clearly ready to close. The piece of steak was small and average. The wait staff seemed more bothered by our presence than happy to have another table, even though we were ready to order right away and not lingering. I have been here at least 10 times as I live across the street but the 2 times I have been in since COVID started, the service just wasn't great either time.

Overall it was good, but not excellent. We had to remind to bring us beer a couple of times although there were only two tables occupied. Also we came to celebrate our wedding anniversary, I mentioned it in my booking. But nobody cared...

Every item, two apps, salad, two entrees and many drinks were amazing. Appreciated the flight samples of your FS distillery too! Well done!

Food was horrible noodles and lamb were over cooked.
Long wait times between orders. Salad was missing avocado and bacon, but the server promptly corrected the matter. Expensive

The food was good, but for some odd reason they were serving “buffet” style food during a pandemic. It’s a major safety hazard with the need to walk through the entire restaurant to get your food, then carry your open plate back to your table. People were not properly socially distant at all. Segregating tables 6ft apart was the extent of the social distancing efforts. The bar service was extremely slow. We had time to walk to the buffet line and finish our food before we even received the bar drink we ordered prior. The ambiance gave us the feel of an old style Denny’s restaurant and it was definitely not worth $30 plus drink cost to try this restaurant. For 2 meals and drinks it costed an excess of $110, mind you we only had one plate and drink each. Definitely overpriced and over valued for such a poor experience and meal.
I had breakfast here the children and I my favorite was the beyond patty and the French toast was really good!oh and the lemonade was BOMB
The food portions were a bit off. For instance, I ordered the lamb. It was $26. It came with 2 very small pieces of lamb accompanied with 1 very large baked potato and a large portion of green beans. The lamb was good but the size of the lamb in comparison to the rest of the items left much to be desired. I would consider using fingerling potatoes instead of the large baked idaho potato.
My dining partner ordered the chicken and waffles.
There were 4 large waffle pieces on the plate. There was friend chicken breast the size of 2 small chicken tenderloins. The Farmers brand is known for large plate sizes and hefty portions but sometimes the plates dont make sense. Especially when the items on the plate you could make larger portions for less than the total amount of you dish. The ingredients are fairly regular, you just get large portions so it doesn't seem overpriced, but it is.
The food is tasty however
This is one of my favorite restaurants in DC so far! The food is awesome and there is a great variety on the menu.

The brunch wasn’t what we expected everything was cooked well but not everything was seasoned well. Was disappointed that we couldn’t take anything to-go that’s something that should of been clear from the start and you couldn’t even order to-go
Our server was fantastic and had great suggestions throughout the menu as well as for cocktails. Dinner was great and the ambiance that evening was perfect for a date night.
Awful food I will never eat here again. Everything was bad from the buffet to the drinks to the salads to the “kitchen bites”. And it was so expensive. I seriously considered leaving $50 on the table and just walking out hoping the $50 would cover the inflated prices. This is the first review I’ve written for a restaurant in over 2 year because I feel I need to express my total disappointment with Farmers and Distillers. However on a positive note, the waiter was extremely helpful professional and courteous!
Truly awful service! Our waiter willfully ignored us for most of our meal and was very rude for no reason. The food was okay, not up to its usual quality, but the system they had going on for brunch was a disaster. Contrary to what it says on the menu, they are still conducting brunch as a buffet, where you have to wait in line in a small crowded area to have your food served for you from behind plastic protective screens. The terrible service, strange ambience, and mediocre food (especially for the price) ensured that I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

The food was blah, The corn bread came cold and tasted old. The shrimp spring roll was not tasty. They forgot my mashed potatoes and they were not good when they arrived, thick and tasteless. I prefer the brunch menu and the Tyson’s location. The waiter was nice.

Excellent service and great food. Would absolutely go back.
Went on Monday for my Husband’s birthday. We originally were going to walk in, but they required reservations. We made a quick reservation and were sat promptly. The food is the best part of this place and it’s why we continue to return.
The service on the other hand is typically mediocre at best. We usually sit at the bar, which is why this is my first review. Our server this time was just okay. In fact, less then okay. We weren’t even offered or given water with our meal. We had to ask when our entrees came and the water finally arrived when my husband finished his meal. Our server also did not do a quality check at any point in our meal. Finally, there was no acknowledgement from any staff member that it was my husbands birthday. Just a bit disappointing considering we are both in the industry.
Food is always good, and hot. Appreciated them spacing us out.
