It’s a fun and lively place. The brunch buffet is solid and filling!
Food selection was not great for price and wasn’t regularly replenished.
I REALLY enjoyed my time on my first visit. My second visit 1/25 wasn’t as enjoyable only because of my server. He didn’t introduce himself or inform us about the table side items that you must request. Never smiled or made us felt welcomed. It really dampened the experience. Overall, it’s by far one of the best brunch spots in the city. I love it👍🏾🙏🏽
Not the biggest fan of the chain. It is a bit tourist-y. However, this is definitely the best in the chain. The drinks and entrees are a bit over-priced for the quality. We had their fresh donuts and they were amazing. The servers are also wonderful. Great for business lunches & dinners.

I looked forward to coming back to F&S for my second time on my birthday. I loved the food despite the absence of an omelet station. The prepared eggs were ok, but luke warm. The variety of food is exceptional for the value. My only misgivings were our waitress and the limited space for the buffet.
Our waitress, though beautiful, seemed less than enthusiastic about serving. We had to ask several times for items that should have accompanied items ordered. For example, four of us ordered coffee and no cream or spoons were provided. Even after asking for both items, we waited several minutes only to adl again. Needless to say, our coffee was no longer piping hot. She also never checked on our party despite serving another table adjacent to us. I guess this is what I have come to expect in any restaurant. Our server could take some lessons from the waitress who served us last year. Unfortunately, I do not know her name. That waitress even went out of her way to make sure we were anle to try all the butlered hors d'oeuvres.
Lastly, my birthday was NEVER acknowledged by the staff or server. If you ask what is the occasion for a reservation, then servers should at the least mention it.
It was MLK day so it was the buffet. Food was great. Kinda packed! But worth it!
10:30 AM on a holiday. Brunch buffet. No omelets, no bacon, gristly meat, no fruit, not restocked well. Overall very much not worth the $$.
The food was okay, but the service was just terrible. It was restaurant week, so I understand they were busy, but she didn't inform us a) About the restaurant week deal until we asked; b) That we didn't have to do the deal so if we ordered under $35 it wouldn't apply. My friends and I wouldn't have ordered a three-course meal if we had known, only one of us went over the $35 limit. I have never written a review before, but the waitress barely spoke to us, acted annoyed when we merely ordered our food, forgot to bring salt and pepper when we asked, and didn't refill water glasses once. We had to physically get out of our seats and chase people down for simple requests.
Waited 30 minutes after reservation time to be seated. Took another 15 minutes for the waitress to take our drink order. Slow, inattentive service. A regular dinner for 3 people took 3 hours. By the time we got to ordering dessert the kitchen was out of what we all ordered because it had gotten so late. I was very disappointed.
We ordered the ribeye, cornbread, blackened wings, mixed green salad and mussels to share. Everything was cooked to perfection. The custom cocktails were great - we tried some off the menu and some classics. Highly recommend this restaurant. We also tried the ice cream and a donut for dessert. Ice cream was amazing, but the donut was just okay. The service was very slow and there seemed to be some misunderstanding of our drink order. Overall we were really happy with the experience.
Inattentive waiter. Long wait to order and get food. When food arrived, it had clearly been sitting (dried crust of mashed potatoes as a dead giveaway).
Then they overcharged me. I had order the restaurant week special and they charged me for all the items. Annoying because I didn’t even want dessert, but it was part of the special and then I was charged for it.
After 10-15 minutes trying to find the waiter, we gave up.
Won’t be returning.
Our waiter had no personality, we had to keep looking for him, he needs a different job not dealing with the public. The food was excellent!!! It was my Birthday!!!

Excellent food options. So yummy. By far THE best buffet!
Brunch for 5 on Sunday. Five of us, some vegetarians, so buffet style is best, and there was a good variety. The sound level was manageable and the setting was comfortable. Don't miss out on the grits!

Not to be deterred by other reviews saying F&D had issues with slow service and so-so food, I gave it a try and found... slow service & so-so food. The restaurant was packed and noisy for Sunday brunch, and after we were seated it took almost 10 minutes for someone to take our drink orders and send us on our way to the buffet. There were staff members all over the place, but throughout the mealie server continued to be hard to locate.
The food was good, but not great. Top billing goes to the flavorful chicken pot pie that you had to ask the server for! It was the last dish we tried and was by far the best. Other winners were the brisket (tender and fatty in a good way), roasted carrots & mashed potatoes.
I was very much looking forward to the passed plates; we were offered bacon lollies, sweet potato dumplings & ahi tuna bites. None of them were anything to write home about.
So, yeah, I’d say reviews on this place are accurate. I’m not sorry I tried it, but I don’t think I ate enough to justify the price.
We had a wonderful birthday celebration brunch and the food was fabulous! And sooooo much! Service was really great...accommodating and friendly.

I've been here several times and this most recent visit was a disappointment. The service is good--friendly and helpful waitstaff--but the food was just awful. We had the sweet potato dumplings. The dumpling was chewy and tough--not a dumpling at all. The fries were cold and not at all crispy. I'm not sure if we visited on an off night or if the food is just going downhill. The cocktails were pretty good, though.

Overall this experience was brutal. Our group was at the restaurant for an hour and a half and we only had the chance to put in one round of drink orders. As far as the food goes, I ordered a New York Strip (medium rare) and a PLAIN baked potato. The dish that came out had a baked potato loaded with cheese, sour cream and butter and the steak was horrible - the most chewy, tough to eat steak I have ever had.
I was very disappointed in the experience here, especially given that my meal cost $100+ for me and my girlfriend. I was even more disappointed given that we had eaten at the bar here before and had a great experience.
Delicious and great service! Great deal and a chance to go back during restaurant week.

Went for brunch buffet. Server was great! Very attentive. Food was ok. Great variety, all of average taste. Peppercorn bacon was really good, I enjoyed the coffee. A little pricey, but overall not bad. I might be back.
Worst brunch I’ve had in Washington, DC in years. Cold food, uncooked bacon, soggy eggs, literally mystery vegetables.
We travel from Florida for a dance competition and ALWAYS come to Farmers & Distillers. It's typically the highlight of our trip! Sooooo delicious!

We had a wonderful meal and time! Our waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Restaurant had no idea why it was an occasion (which is an awful and awkward way to be seated) - not that it mattered since there was basically no service after our food was ordered. Had to flag down two other severs to get the check - miserable meal and certainly not a great way to take my lived one out for their birthday.

The food at Farmers & Distillers was really good. Service was good. The waiter made some really great suggestions. Noise level was elevate perhaps b/c they were packed but, it didn’t bother me.
