Farm to table dinner. Everything is fresh and tasty.
It is busy and noise level is high, so expect a relaxed ambience, not a candlelight dinner - it was perfect for us!
Food was cold, servers had to be asked for everything. Brought coffee with no cream, for example. Finally brought cream after being asked twice but didn’t bring spoons.
Food was cold, eggs dry, most buffet offerings were empty.
Crazy expensive for cold brunch.
We won’t be back.
Brought visiting family to Farmers & Distillers for the first time. My aunt had a food allergy and the manager was kind enough to come to our table and speak to her about food she should avoid. Great customer service and our waitress Alex was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and gave great suggestions. I would recommend this restaurant over and over.
I had high expectations on the menu and the quality of the food and this place did not disappoint! I’m definitely coming back here with my family.
Great meal with great people!
Great brunch options and service.
Service was great, drinks were awesome and so very creative. We ordered cornbread and fried green tomatoes they were ho hum but the entrees we're overly salty, so much so I could not eat it all.
OUR mealS were excellent!!!!The donuts.....WOW
Last but not least our waitress Sidney was AWESOME!!!!!
Food was fantastic but the service was slow… We thought it was unusual for a Tuesday night.
Food and service were both excellent. Had fisherman’s pasta. Came with a good portion of seafood and homemade pasta. Wife had seafood and green pasta. She enjoyed very much as well.
I meet a group of 5 people in DC twice a year for a business meeting. This is the third time we have returned to Farmers and Distillers. Despite there being many dining options in the city we return here because the food is great and the service even better. The menu is varied with options for everyone.
Food was delicious, but since we came around 1:45pm, they started wrapping a few selections up and we never received any of the small passed bites. Our waiter also took too long to greet us and just seemed very overwhelmed. He also never checked with us to see how our food was and got a few of our drink orders wrong. We were very happy he comped it though!
Hopefully, the service will be better next time and we'll definitely make an earlier booking so we can taste everything!
I wish there was a bottomless mimosa option to offer on the menu.
Excellent brunch buffet. All food made fresh there
So much delicious food. Come hungry!
Great meal! Salads were incredible. Got a bit busy on Sunday as we were dining and the quality of service became less attentive. We had to track waiter down for check after our plates had been cleared. Overall Great and can’t wait to try the rest of the Farmer’s restaurants.
Got there early with a reservation....made to wait past my reservation.....👎
The tuna bites for the starters were awesome!
Food was phenomenal, but had a few service mishaps that slightly took away from the experience
- We ordered corn bread for the table that never came
- Drink Orders came out incorrectly
- We has asked for an additional menu for an additional guest about 3 times for it to finally be brought over
Took clients here for business dinner. Very good service. Food was excellent. Would definitely recommend it. Noise level is elevated, but it was an excellent experience.
Their extensive menu with diverse offerings at reasonable prices makes F&D a great place for dinner with our teens. And the consistent quality of their dishes makes it a place my husband and I also choose for date night. Farmers & Distillers is solid and doesn't disappoint. Oh, and they have excellent donuts. Not sure you need anything more than that!
Close to Chinatown and a vibrant scene. Service is engaging, attentive and top notch. We love the location and the restaurant.
The new menu was a big disappointment and the food choices are now minimal
Absolutely amazing! Wish there was one in Florida!
The Brunch buffet was to die for! So many amazing food options.
Great food and drinks. Drink service always takes forever and our server wasn’t very attentive. Overall a great meal every time
We were in town for a convention and had dinner here with colleagues. Everything was delicious, especially the kale salad and garlic knots.
I really wanted to like this place. The menu in embossed leather is beautiful and dining area is well-decorated. The donuts are AMAZING, but the meals we ordered were merely decent, and fairly bland (fried chicken w/ Mac and cheese; spicy (not) pork and beef with noodles; Chinese riblets). Nothing to write home about. Our server was friendly but not particularly attentive. Then when I got a portion of my lunch to go, she put it in their container and because it was very liquidy, when she handed it to me, it spilled out of the container, into the paper bag, and all over my white linen pants. Her response wasn’t to apologize, give me a coupon, offer to take money off the bill or pay for dry cleaning, but to say that it’s the only kind of container they have. Not impressive and I won’t likely go to Farmers and Distillers again. It’s just too marginal for the money.
I love the creative take on regular food. The ingredients are outstanding, the taste just divine! We will definitely come back for brunch!
Super professional and friendly server, well done dishes (our table had plank roasted salmon and their great Chinese chicken salad), and a good overall vibe made this a great choice.
We admittedly went on a lunch break during a convention nearby. When we arrived they were slammed with a lot of people all at once. Our drinks from the bar took forever to arrive, our food took about 30 minutes (we didn't know that it was a made from scratch restaurant!) and when it did arrive, the order was so mixed up we couldn't tell whose food was who. I'd say this is not the spot for a lunch break, but would be better for a long dining experience for dinner!
The slowest service and our server was horrible. She forgot 90% of our order a s kept having to ask for things.
Great service, good food at a reasonable price
Recommended by our lyft driver and we absolutely loved it. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere!
Food was very good. Service ok. My credit card was hacked 5 minutes after leaving restaurant! Has to get a new card!
I had a reservation and we had to wait for an hour for our table. Brought me wrong drink. Food was ok. Nothing special.
Pre booked a table for 8pm with the specific request to be seated in the main restaurant area as we had a 9 year old with us. We were given probably the worst table in the bar area. When we asked if we could be moved the staff member dealing with it basically fobbed us off so what was the point of pre booking?
Whilst waiting to be seated we purchased drinks at the bar including a vodka and tonic which was totally flat. When we mentioned it to the bar member she said that was the way they served it in there. We didn’t get a full bottle of tonic (flat or otherwise!) at at $12.50 I think the staff could do with proper training on how to correctly serve a spirit and mixer.
We paid for our drinks but left the restaurant without ordering any food as we felt very disappointed with the whole experience.
We went to a nearby restaurant where we thoroughly enjoyed our evening there.
Their great! Outstanding service and will return when in DC
