   We had dinner at Farallon just before Covid-19 was starting to cause entertainment venues to close. The restaurant was lovely, and we had a great dinner. It was half-empty downstairs, but the staff was very attentive and responsive. At the same time, if you looked closely, you could tell that precautions had been taken to keep people safe. Guests were seated several feet apart, no handshakes, very clean, etc. Looking forward to our next visit!

   Everything was perfect.. the wait staff was always easy to call on and never obtrusive(I hate when food servers always interrupt conversation or you’re always looking for them to get something) and the best of the whole night was dessert(creme brûlée) I have never experienced a complete dessert such as the dish was, the sugar topping was light and crunchy with a honey pear syrup to make this one of the finest desserts that I’ve had in years!! Will definitely go again and try the duck dish. Seating was a little funky tho.

   Farallon just never disappoints. We booked dinner here because it was close to the Curran theater. In between the Harry Potter Part 1 and Part 2 we had a cocktail at the bar before our reservation - fun vibe there with happy hour value menu of drinks and snacks. Then dinner was fabulous: I had a sumptuous meal of filet of beef, with crab, asparagus and mushrooms (truly the perfect meal), started with crab bisque (which was ok/lacked flavor) and finished with the incredible citrus pavlova (amazing). Don't even remember what my husband had because I was so infatuated with my entree and dessert. I'm a huge Pavlova fan ... maker and consumer. Farallon's little cloud of goodness was among the best I've eaten. The citrus sauce made this dessert even more memorable. Honestly, I can't stop thinking about it. :-)

   This was our third visit to Farallon. The food and service was consistently top notch. We had different servers each time. The service is impeccable. Our waiter, Michael, was attentive but not overly so. He was friendly and professional. The food was great!. I had the sole and my friend had beef. The sole was fresh and flaky. His beef was cooked to his preference. We will be back again.

   Visiting from Vancouver, BC and booked this restaurant by complete luck. Went for a business dinner and L wasn’t disappointed. Food and service was great. Highly recommend it.

    Overall the food and ambiance was wonderful. I was a little let down by my entree--but I think this was a personal preference thing (I didn't like the cut of the fish and the choice that the chef made in its preparation). I'll be back!

    I was truly disappointed this time. I felt rushed and had to several times ask for attention, the service was far less than acceptable for a this type of restaurant. The food heavily sauced and pretty average. The Ambience is fabulous yet an uncomfortable experience. Sorry to say, I won’t be dining here again

    The best meals I've had this year by far. Truly extraordinary venue with a spectacular menu and wine list. The perfect place to celebrate a special occasion which is what we were doing. My only caution is to study the bill which had two errors which I caught. I will definitely go back

    We absolutely loved our experience and can't wait to come back. The food was incredible, even the non-seafood items: the duck, the pasta, the desserts, everything was amazing. But of course, the seafood is crazy good, and we love coming here for oysters. The bar is my favorite in the City because the bartender: Jaime (and the rest of the bartending staff), is just incredible. Every drink is perfect, and the service just couldn't be any better. This place is great for a night on the town or even a special occasion. We had dinner on Valentine's day, and most places can't deal with the rush, but Farallon never fails.     Too expensive for quality food. The server by mistake charge to our table one 3 course menu 80$ . I had to go back to get reimburse. The service was ok but not extra for the place. Very desapointed

    Went for Valentine’s Day dinner. We had an early seating. Food came out quickly but unhurried. Prix fix menu was a reasonable deal, portions were a good size. We sat upstairs towards the front where the have cool red plush seating which was fun for the occasion.

    Our party of four enjoyed an excellent dinner here. We each went with the three course option and all meals were fantastic. Our server was informative and attentive making for a great experience. Definitely recommend and will go back next time in San Francisco.

    Farallón has changed their menu to a limited 3 or 4 course choice for a set price. It used to have much more variety of fish to choose from and the current menu is a little disappointing. The food is quite good, although the portions are a bit small. While the front desk staff and others were very warm and friendly, out waiter was not. He was efficient, although abrupt and never smiled once or displayed any human relations skills. This was in stark contrast to other staff. We used to love to go to Farallón for special occasions, but now, not so much.

    One of the most beautiful restaurants in the San Francisco Bay area. We went for a special occasion and felt pampered by our server. Not an everyday restaurant due to the cost, but definitely a once or twice annual or special occasion place for friends and family. We were so pleased with the noise level being low in the restaurant. With its plush seats and comfy layout, it helped keep the noise level to about 50% of what most restaurants are today. No yelling across the table to be heard.
