At Fancy Hank's we serve American-style, slow cooked BBQ, using the finest quality free range meats, cooked using our custom-built, 2-tonne smoker. Brisket, ribs and pulled-pork sit alongside the traditional sides as well as a number of unique dishes. We use traditional Southern cooking techniques and combine these with local produce to put our uniquely Australian spin on this regional American cuisine.

Good Heavens is hosting our Sunday Summer Sessions on the first Sunday of every month, we will have bottomless mimosas & fixation beers*, food specials, DJs playing all of the 80's classics and good vibes all day long.

The service was good as the waitress helped us with determining how much we should order for two people. She was right, we were wrong but fortunately you can box and take away what you don't eat.
The location is a bit cramped. Not a large space resulting needing to repeat what you say, talk a lot louder and be very careful when sliding out of your seat so as to not bump the table. It's not that they aren't trying to pack as many people as possible in, it is just a small area.
In terms of food: We had Brisket, Mac and Cheese, Ribs (pre ordered as required to ensure availability), Beef Croquettes and Barbecued Brocoli.
Brisket was amazing. I have drunk water that needed more chewing than the meat. It had enough structural integrity to hold onto the fork.
Mac and Cheese: It tasted a bit watery. I was expecting a thicker creamy texture but was let down.
Ribs: Mostly bone with one or two bites of meat. Again, let down but perhaps I have seen too many American BBQ shows with ribs that come on bones the size of your femur.
Beef Croquettes: Quite good for a starter.
Brocoli: Two very large pieces, basically a head of brocoli cut in half and barbecued.
This was $220. Overall a 4 star. Disappointed with the Ribs and Mac and Cheese. Brisket was the star.
Absolutely fantastic! The Brisket was to die for and the service was outstanding.
Relaxed vibes, great food! 7 of us dined for lunch on the express lunch and had food on the table on time and it was all super delicious.
A great team lunch with tasty food and attentive staff who catered to our needs and didn't keep us waiting. Noise level a bit too high to be able to hear others on your own table which was a shame but otherwise a great lunch
We enjoyed our evening celebrating our daughters completion of her VCE exams. Pre ordered our ribs which were amazing. Missed a good pile of pulled pork but the amazing brisket made up for it. Service was friendly and informative. Loved that the menu has changed since our last visit and we enjoyed eating a slightly "fancier" BBQ. We have eaten BBQ all over the USA and are pretty happy that we have one of the best BBQ restaurants local to us. Looking forward to visiting again. Thank you.

Amazing food that the entire group is still talking about three days later, great service and overall an excellent time! Definitely worth visiting the rooftop bar before your dinner as well.
Burger was cold. Chips came after burger was fully eaten (and we waited).
Waiter refused us to have the set menu as 1 person was vegetarian and set menus are meat only. She said it was a 'hard rule'. Hard rule disconnected from reality of clientele.
The price was premium though - not at all suitable considering the above. Premium price should involve a flawless experience.
1st time here , nice food good service , $3.50 for half an egg is crazy and $13.50 for about 150ml of red house wine was a bit stingy , food was nice , very noisy , you will find it very hard to have a conversation at all, won’t hurry back , but I will come back on a quieter time .
This really isn’t bbq. Overpriced, cheap fatty cuts of meat, wait staff doing what was necessary, but with no enthusiasm. Underwhelming at best.
I loved the new additions to the menu, the grilled octopus was by far the best dish I have had at the restaurant. Service was optimal and staff were very friendly and attentive to specific needs, as I am lactose intolerant a meal was returned to the kitchen and replaced with one without cheese ; an excellent resolution and much appreciated. The restaurant was a bit too loud to enjoy conversation, but thats just typical of a Friday night anywhere. Overall, amazing food and wonderful staff.
Had a dinner with some work friends. Kind of disappointing to be honest, as the brisket was so dry, and the pork ribs tasted more like ham than Juicy ribs. Barely any basting on the ribs, well cooked but I get better ribs from a local pizza shop, for half the money. They should be blasted heavily, falling off the bone, but these were dry and tender more like a well cooked ham than ribs.. service was great, and I will try it once more but was disappointed this time around..
We had a 5 pm booking and were told at the time that we would need to vacate the table by 6.30 pm. We were then told 3 more times about leaving the table. It became very annoying. I found the service to be lacking regarding information about the menu.
I took a couple of out of towners here for dinner and they havent stopped talking about it ever since. The food was fantastic. so creative and so tasty. The service was efficient and friendly. A great night out.

The bottomless brunch was a fantastic event and experience. The food was extraordinary and great value. The ‘bottomless’ options were amazing - loved the grapefruit mimosa. Had cocktails later in the afternoon and these were amazing... love the blue gin one! Atmosphere and vibe was relaxed, befitting the gorgeous sunny day; the DJ was a lot of fun too. The staff really made the day. Professional, friendly and attentive - Cate, Oli, Ed, James upstairs as well as the FH team. Will definitely be back.

Very over-priced for what we got. The ribs were 60% fat. we left feeling hungry and a bit ripped off. Service was the only good thing.
Fantastic service and the best atmosphere. We booked for a 30th birthday dinner and the food and service were exceptional.
Loved everything about our experience here. The food was amazing, the staff were a lot of fun and very knowledgeable.

Group of five got the meatmaster special, everything was great but there was nowhere near enough food to justify $70 a head. Multiple shared sides and barely enough to go around.
Would avoid the platters next time and order individually.

The food was amazing matching with the value of it. Ideal for a celebration. But the music and the other tables made too much noise, that you have to talk louder. In general was a good night.

Nice ambiance, cool upstairs bar, good selection of bbq items and a decent beverage list. The food was nice and the quality of ingredients was high but just felt like some of the meals lacked seasoning and a bit of oomph considering the price.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. We had preordered a rack of pork ribs (recommend to preorder because it sells out) and ordered the pitmaster set menu as well. Be warned the pitmaster has a huge amount of food. The pork ribs were very flavourful and tender. In the pitmaster menu everything was delicious but in particular the cornbread, pulled pork and brisket. If you're coming here for lunch try not to sit against the window as it can get quite hot on a sunny day.
Food is great but no set menu for 2, only 4. 1 pork rack and 1 coleslaw was $100. Quality is great, but I don’t think the price is worth it.
Food was nice although we found the 14 hour cooked brisket VERY salty and were therefore a little disappointed as we couldn't wait to try it. Also found the deserts to be lacking
