Famous Greek Kitchen
Great local Greek restaurant with nice service, and traditional delicious food! Cozy interior with white tufted booth seating and pretty lighting. Baklava is fabulous!
Excellent as always! The food is so fresh and service is top notch. What a lovely cozy gem.
Met our friends there. Easy parking. We were seated right away. Good wine selection. Delicious dips and bronzino. Service was slow but not terrible. We will go back again. No need to go to Astoria.
I would like to see fresher hummus. Their selection of flavors is nice but freshness is imperative. The eggs Benedict was a small portion with a large portion of potatoes which is not ideal. The hamburger was nicely made. We were there on a holiday and it took awhile to get our food which is not normally the case.
FGK is always great no matter what you order and the staff is super friendly and attentive. I could live on their hummus and warm, fresh pita bread.
We tried several small plates as it was our first time there. Each were delicious. My son had steak entree which was very good as well. Servers were attentive and friendly. We will be back!
Some of the best fish we have had in and near Westchester County. Ample portion cooked perfectly. Shrimp Saganacki and octopus appetizers were also exceptional. No room for dessert.
Food is ok but nothing special. Service is spotty, like they really don’t care.
Excellent food at a fair price.
Always a consistent, fresh and good meal. Attentive service and friendly atmosphere. We have never been disappointed in our meal. Love the chicken souvlaki, chicken thighs and any of the fresh fish. Pizza is fantastic. You can't go wrong with any of the menu choices.
Food is consistently great! Decided just to have a bunch of small plates for dinner. Asked the waiter to space them out, they all came at once. Waiter was very inattentive, which is unusual in this restaurant, as the service previously has been quite good.
Place is lovely.
Ordered hummus and they took it away too soon.
Vegetable slovacy sandwich not good.
Patties over cooked!
This was my 2nd time.
1st Time much better.
Too pricey for this food
Food was great and service was great. Always consistently great
Outstanding service. Beyond everything, I have seen in the States.
It was superb
David is the best server i have ever had . He always provides such an amazing experience to me and my company.
Fresh ingredients, inventive chef, locally owned, terrific wait staff. My go-to home-town restaurant.
Waiter and food was great. I don’t won’t to write too good of a review because I want to keep it a secret.
Came on a Wednesday night when I knew it wouldn't be a packed house at 5:30. The welcome was friendly, but the waiter recited the specials so fast, I could hardly understand him. And he left out one of the hummus specials, of which there are many varieties. The hummus sampler and pita is a meal in itself. Very good. The mussels appetizer was excellent with all the flavors that were in the broth/sauce. Another meal in itself. The Greek salad was fresh and lots of iceberg lettuce as usual, but the dressing flavorless and where was the Feta? Hardly any feta in it. I had the salmon wrapped in phyllo which was quite dry, but the sides of dandelion greens and lemon potatoes made up for it. Next time I will just have the appetizers and sides. My friend had the Greek lemon chicken which wasn't very lemony, but good nonetheless. And the rice pudding as good as Ya Ya's, so overall a good experience and I would go back.
Best Greek food in Westchester/lower CT
We are frequent customers and we always enjoy our meal at Famous Greek.
Salads are great, fish is as well and so is the souvlaki.
Great for birthdays and Other special occasions!
Lovely evening, fun vibe. Food is very good with ample selections and varied price points. Service attentive and friendly
The service and food are outstanding. The fresh fish was cooked to perfection.
Consistently good food. Not many choices for vegetarians, my daughter ended up combining appetizers to make up her meal. Service was very good, as always. Love the restaurant!
While we love the restaurant, the food the night we went left much to be desired. Most items were so over salted that we didn't eat a couple of the items. Might be worthwhile changing that so that people can add their own salt....
The food was excellent. We had chicken and lamb souvlaki which were delicious. I tried the dandelion greens as a side for the first time - it was excellent. We had baklava for dessert - it had three delicious varieties. The service was attentive and helpful.
Awesome. Service is amazing!!!
Love FGK! Fantastic food, ambience and the best service in town!
Never disappoints. Louie the waiter is always the best and the food is creative and delicious!
Delish and fun! Will be back
Excellent food and great variety on the menu. Great service
Great restaurant! Interesting food. Good wine selection. Very attentive. Just the right amount of buzz to let you know you are out. Have been numerous times!
Vibrant. Great music. Great food and service. What else do you want in a neighborhood joint?
Great food. Terrific ..: love eating there. Have enjoyed a few lunches and many dinners. Never disappoints!
Good food. Service was OK. I would go there again.
Famous Greek Kitchen has become one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious and there are many things to choose from. Must note that they do only serve wine and beer. I would highly recumbent this restaurant.
I used to live walking distance to FGK and ate there twice a month. At that time it was more like a Diner with really good food. What a long way it has come. All things have been elevated to a higher standard. The prices are getting a little high to reflect this. I will definitely be back.
We have always liked to visit the FGK when we are in town. But this visit was bizarre, to put it mildly. We were given the table we had asked for, and we anticipated a nice evening dinner out. We were able to order some wine, but then our waiter seemed to be completely distracted by another customer. Finally, we were able to order our dinner. Then he put on a jacket and left the restaurant. We were left hanging, with no service. We finally asked another waiter to find out about our meals. Within a few minutes, our meals arrived. My dinner was perfectly fine, but my wife’s meal was completely substandard. The meal must have been left sitting under a heat lamp for some time. It was charred on the top, but lukewarm inside. Our original waiter in his blue jacket returned to reconnoiter with the other customer, then left again. We finally convinced another waiter to get us the check. We deliberately left no tip for our original waiter, but gave the helpful waiter a cash tip.
