Our authentic BBQ starts in a live-wood smoker stoked with genuine hickory logs. Our pitmasters hand-rub the meats with a custom blend of spices and cook for hours to extract the natural flavors. We source the highest quality meats and trim them up like we’re in a competition and hand-rub them with the freshest seasonings available to create mouthwatering experiences! My family and I decided to go to Famous Dave’s on Mother’s Day after our reservation at Milk and Honey Waldorf was not honored. It was our first time and we didn’t know what to expect but our expectations were mid. Let me tell you, when one door closes, God will open another! This was our first time at a Famous Daves and it will NOT be our last! From the moment we came in we were greeted with kindness by the front counter lady; our server was refreshingly polite; the food was timely, fresh, and wonderfully sized portions! Even the kids enjoyed their meals, which my oldest is picky so it can be a hit or miss. Not a dime was wasted at this establishment and I’m licking my lips just thinking about when our next visit will be. Thank you Famous Dave’s Waldorf, you’ve got new loyal patrons from our family!

The hostess didn't seem to care that we had a reservation. We were seated at a booth in the bar. It was quiet at the beginning and the bar tender was visiting us frequently enough. Then more people came in and the visits became less frequent. By the time we had to leave, I had to actually stand at the bar and insist we get our check because we had a committment elsewhere. It took over 30 minutes to get leftover containers and pay.

Server never brought the appetizer and after the meal we had to wave a manger over to pay the bill. Poorest service ever.

We were grateful as this was a last minute reservation on Valentines Day. The server was excellent, he made suggestions and even realized that the brisket was super fatty and ordered us an additional piece. Overall a good family experience.
