interesting menu. wonderful layering oog tastes. Great cocktails
The space is beautiful, the bar is gorgeous, service friendly and competent. Tried duck, a rib eye, pork chop, French onion soup, Gnochhi, and pickled tray. The mashed potatoes with bone broth gravy is as good or better than any gravy ever tasted. Worh the trip in its own. The pork chop is Fred Flinstone size and juicy and well seasoned and porky- which isnt often the case these days. Ribeye had a fabulous char and was well seasoned. French onion soup was very and I mean very reduced, it’s essentially black. So it’s flavor is very deep.
What a wonderful addition to Cannon Falls! Food is always superb, service is fantastic and a fun ambiance!
The ribeye was tender but gristly. Staff was outstanding! Food was mediocre for the price.
Glad we tried it, but not really worth the drive from Minneapolis. Just too many other really great restaurants closer.
Great local dining experience with a real chef driven menu. Really amazing, especially for being in Cannon Falls that is food wise generally very dumbed down. Hope a lot of destination foodies support this. Local sure as hell won’t get it.
Our 2nd visit in two weeks. Great food and cocktails. The tilefish special was excellent. Loved the pecan pie dessert.
Would rather not get our check before dessert arrives, but server was otherwise friendly and attentive.
They were ready for us once we arrived. Service, food, drinks, and ambience was perfect
Would like to see more fish options on the menu. My wife is Gluten and there wasn't much of a selection for her to select from. I have had the ribeye steak and duck in the past and both were fantastic! Love the atmosphere and the service was wonderful.
A very interesting and eclectic "Supper Lodge" located just off of Highway 52 in Cannon Falls. The setting is very comfortable with a gas fireplace and great seating. The food was quite good although the price point is slightly above what's common in the area. The restaurant is part of a larger market complex that has another "roadhouse" style restaurant on the north side of the building. We'll definitely head back in the spring or summer when the garage doors can be opened! One minor suggestion to management would be to look at upgrading the lighting in the dining room with something less "harsh" like vintage LED bulbs as this would make for an even more pleasant dining experience.
Holy smokes! This place is amazing! We had such a great meal, our waitress was a sweetheart, the mixed drinks were fantastic. I’m from Iowa and I just know pork chops, ok? Well, I had one of the BEST I’ve ever tasted for an entree. It was served with roasted cauliflower and a squash purée and it was phenomenal. I also got a side of sweet potato gnocchi and it was out of this world. Yeah, I took home half of it, it was gigantic portions. We also had some of the butter and rolls—off the charts good, the duck confit with apple slaw (um, insanely good) and the buffalo short ribs starter, which was a special. My date had the fish of some sort po’boy, I don’t know, I was obsessed with my entree. After, we had a house-made chocolate dessert that I think was supposed to be chocolate bread pudding with a fudge core, a creamy base underneath with ice cream and caramel and fleur de sel but I don’t know because I was deafened by the sounds of angels singing while I was devouring it. Also, the market attached was so fun, tons of house made sides and a phenomenal meat counter and so many cool brands of fun food, clearly amazingly curated. This place is really special. Oh, and the place is gorgeous, I don’t know who did the decorating but it’s so cool in there!!!
Enjoyed the food, good not great. Interior ambiance very nice (quiet), but couples seating (tables of 2) is too close together so you inevitably feel part of the next couple’s conversation as well. Cocktails were great and used a lot of local liquor options. Service was wonderful. High-quality dining for the area. We’d visit again.
Setting in really nice, great looking old bar and good cocktails.
Food was good, scallops apps were out of this world. The duck was cooked perfect and the pinto and red sauces w a little heat was great. Desert was awesome, love the Schlage!!!
Would recommend coming and checking it out, price point varies depending on how hungry you are.
The smoked ribeye i ordered was not cooked, it was cold and raw on the inside. being the first time, i did not say anything at first because i ordered medium which is warm pink. but i could not cut the steak and could not chew it either. I asked the waitress and she said it should be warm. she did not take it away, but gave me the meal at 1/2 off. My wife's sirloin looked and tasted amazing. the other couple also ordered a ribeye, her report was that it was too grisley. the double bone pork chop was great. i would go back again try something else.
The gnocchi was gummy and the sauce was oily, with no discernible flavor otherwise. I wish I would have tried the perch instead. Crab cakes were really light and fluffy with a nice crisp coating and a delicious tarragon sauce. The Brandy Alexander ice cream drink was fantastic. It was early on a Thursday night and the place was pretty dead so I hope they survive. I would definitely try this place again.
Delicious, interesting food, nice decor, yummy cocktails. A bit noisy. A great place in a town with few offerings. We will be back!
Wonderful venue with a great decor and friendly staff. The selections were diverse and it was hard to choose just one entree!. We had no trouble with seating and the wine selection was nice for the menu. The specials were expansive to the main entrees and the desserts are not to be missed! We will be back.
I had order the special which was an 8 oz fillet Oscar. It was suppose to be lobster on top, but it was more like a shrimp. Honest couldn’t tell. The steak and mashed potatoes both came out cold.
Worth a trip to Cannon Falls! Ambiance and food both fantastic!
We have been to the Falls Landing a few times and each dining experience has been great. The food is always delicious. They have a “limited” menu, however, the choices available are all delicious and the prices are very reasonable for the quantity of food that you order. The specials are always worth trying . I would highly recommend the Falls Landing for a great dining experience!
This is our 2nd time going to Falls Landing. You get small town charm mixed with special occasion ambiance. I like going there to get that something special that you wouldn't necessarily make as a home cook like their duck breast which is delicious. Our guest got the bone in pork which was enough food for a viking to bring home leftovers. The scallops appetizer was out of this world. Any time you can get caviar on your food you're in for a treat. The service was very good and attentive. They made for a great evening and went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. It is definitely worth the trip to Cannon Falls. They have a REALLY good winery in town and a brewery right across the street. There is a brand new hotel in town and you could easily make a night of it. We will be back again!
Excellent food and love the atmosphere. Service was a little slow, but we went on New Years Eve. Busy place. I can forgive that. Took quite a while to get drinks. The food more than made up for that. I would love to go again on a normal night when it is a more relaxed time.
Wonderful food and ambiance!! Felt warm and cozy with lots of flannel shirts floating about.
The meal was excellent. The dinning room is beautiful and comfortable. We had appetizers. Delicious. The best mashed potatoes I have ever had. Steaks cooked perfectly.
This was our first visit to Falls Landing, and we will definitely be back. We were celebrating our 51st anniversary. The food was fabulous! I had the 10 ounce sirloin, and my husband had linguine and we both were very satisfied. We shared the bread pudding for dessert. The restaurant is a great place for a special occasion, but casual enough for a burger, which we will try on our next visit.
Great feel here. Upscale yet like a fishing camp. Menu limited but covers all the bases. Paying for bread seemed odd....rolls came from a well know area bakery but presentation was tacky......that’s maybe where the fishing camp came in.
Great special occasion experience. Very romantic. Will absolutely return!
Another great experience at Fall’s Landing. We were a party of four and two of us had the pheasant with wild rice, which was excellent. We love the Midwest supper club ambience with upscale decor. We will be back.
Awesome! Love the very cool space. The food and service were outstanding. Will definitely be back. Way to go, Cannon Falls!
