   had the organic chicken and Shrimp& Grits. Chicken was cooked perfectly, could of had more seasoning but not bad, came with a gravy, pretty good flavor. i do wish they would not put the chicken on top of the potatoes. shrimp and grits were good but grits were different than what we normally get, a little chunkier.

   We had an exceptional time at Fall Line while celebrating our anniversary. We each had a glass of prosecco, we split the Deviled Egg appetizer, enormously enjoyed the Halibut and the Steak Frites. Both prepared perfectly and the Halibut was out of this world delicious with an unexpected delightful flavor twist of a bed of tomatoes, fennel, sweet peppers and pickled fruit. Key Lime Pie and Chocolate cake rounded out the dinner wonderfully. The Chef came out and spoke with us and Leah was our server who we cannot praise enough!! Will request her next time we dine at our new favorite restaurant!

   Very good service, good drinks. Nice southern style upscale food. I have a limited choice due to food allergies but what I have had is very good. My husband has loved it. They have great fried chicken!!

    I chose to have the winter in wonderland experience however, upon being seated my date and I were seated in an igloo that did not close. Although the heater was on, with the igloo not being able to close completely ruined the experience. When I asked if it could be closed the reply was it was broken. Why pay $100 as a igloo fee to not be comfortable? When asked if we could be moved it took a while before receiving an response so we ultimately chose to be seated inside which was not the plan because we wanted to experience the private aspect of the date. Now I am just waiting to be refunded for the $100 fee.

    Apparently, this restaurant overbooked their igloo experience so many couples either had to cancel their reservation, make last minute changes, or just deal with dining inside what which was certainly not ideal for a hotel restaurant. food was decent. Prices were fine, but overall presentation, and how they handle that situation was certainly not appealing. Not to mention how incredibly loud dining inside was.

    Heat was not turned on prior to arrival so the igloo was cold. It should have been warm especially since there was a $100 non-refundable fee for the “experience.” The propane tank was empty so we were told they had to contact “hotel engineers” to change it out. They never showed up so a server hooked one up that was almost empty and had to be changed out again shortly afterwards. Food was good but not worth the price. Would not recommend.

    I didn’t realize this restaurant is located in a hotel lobby. You are reminded of this if you need to use the restroom when you are directed all the way to the other end of the large lobby, past the escalators. Most of the people at the restaurant were travelers, which made for a strange dining experience as people were arriving with luggage, children were eating skittles and French fries next to us. Some people were in pajamas and baseball caps, some were dressed to the nines. There was a man and woman, who I assumed were part of the management team (although the woman was dressed like kitchen staff and the man was in a suit) who kept walking by our table over and over in a rushed way. At one point they were arguing in the corner kind of near the restaurant entrance. My view was facing the bar, so the entire 1.5 hours we were there I think those two walked by about 30 times back and forth. It gave the restaurant a real worrisome ambience. Overall, a very transient vibe (which is to be expected if traveling and staying at a hotel). The food was just ok. A lot of fried food. The pimento cheese balls are a fried ball of liquid volcano hot cheese. We also got the crab fritters, which were served with the same sauce as was served with the cheese balls (if not the same, very similar). The oysters were good, not great. We were served Tito’s and sodas with no limes. Our entrees were delicious. I had the roast chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. The green beans were slightly undercooked but everything else was truly delicious. My husband had the cheeseburger with fries which was also cooked perfectly and super delicious. Our desserts were just ok- we had the ooey gooey cookie with ice cream- it was sickeningly sweet. We also got the chocolate cake with ice cream and I think the chocolate cake may have been over-microwaved and was kind of a tough texture. The ice cream was delish. We probably won’t return but I also don’t regret going there once to try.

    Very unimpressed. Ordered a happy hour basil margarita and it tasted like I was drinking maple syrup. I sent it backed and they dumped half out it out and put soda water in it? Still awful. The manager offered to replace it with another drink, and I chose a regular margarita, and it was just as sweet. I don't mind a sweet drink but it was undrinkable. Our food took over an hour to come out, not impressed with the food. One person ordered no bacon in their shrimp & grits as they do not eat meat and it still came with bacon. I ordered a french onion soup which never came. 0/10 would never go back

    The appetizers we tried were average to below average at best, particularly the deviled eggs which were small and did not seem to be very fresh. The burnt tips were the best choice, and the cornbread was not as moist as we expected with the zucchini and cheddar inside not very noticable. The entrees -- braised ribs (again very small portion) and the fried chicken (a very good portioned and tasty dish) -- were the best. But the best feature of the restaurant was our waiter, Adrian, who was very professional and exceedingly polite. Please give him a raise!! I had heard phenomenal things about the food at Fall Line, but I was left pretty disappointed.

    It took us 10 minutes and three different servers to get coffee and another 5 to get water, which we ordered as soon as we sat down. Our server was inattentive. After asking us if we wanted cream when we ordered our coffee, she brought us coffee a considerable time later, no cream and no spoons. We could see her standing behind the bar across the room. Finally, my husband got up and another server brought it for us. We did not see our server again until we were done with our meal, asked for the check, and then she never came back. Again, the same server who brought us cream ended up running our card. The food was good, but overpriced. The brunch menu was extremely limited. We will not return. There are too many great options in RVA to go there again.

    Went there for a Birthday Dinner for a party of 2. After waiting for 40minn for our food, the plate was hot but the food was cold. I ordered the Salmon with asparagus and rice. I got the attention of another waiter because our waiter was MIA. I let her know the food was cold she took it back within 10min I had a other plate of food. This time the food was hot but not seasoned as good as the first plate that was cold. Mind you I only ate 1 piece of salmon and a fork full of rice from the first plate, I was able to taste the seasoning. My girlfriend order the organic chicken and the chicken was undercooked. It was still blood in the chicken. Not a good experience after reading the reviews.

    Service was great Huda excellent customer service skills, received our appetizer quickly, but then waited almost an hour for meals, entrees weee very disappointing, the short rib was more fat than anything and the carrots were disappointing, The pasta was very bland, the meal presentation was lacking, and as we sat waiting the manager walked by many times not even acknowledging us.
