About Faith & Flower
Faith & Flower is a contemporary Los Angeles restaurant located in the WaterMarke Tower in DTLA’s South Park district. The restaurant’s name pays homage to the two major renaissance periods—the 1920s and modern day—that have fundamentally shaped the Downtown Los Angeles community, with “Flower” referring to the street on which the restaurant lies today, and “Faith” for the street’s alleged name during the early 1920s.

Faith & Flower Ratings and Reviews
I have to say that this was a bit of a letdown after wanting to try the place for a couple years to try.
We loved the drink menu & tried a few different drinks, all of which were very good to excellent. All drinks took an unusually long time to come to the table each time. They are made to order and are involved, but still, it was a long time to get them. Finished with Leap of Faith which was Absinthe done the "Russian Way." They light the absinthe aflame for a minute or so, extinguish and the cover the top. You then inhale the fumes through a straw. they pour the absinthe over a glass of root beer and you enjoy the drink. It was fun and I ultimately liked the drink, but they inexplicably use plastic straws and the unfortunate thing is with the heat, you get mostly plastic fumes and taste. I'd do it again if they had a metal or other type straw that didn't give off a toxic taste.
Food was overall good but the pacing was horrendous. Ordered oysters, deviled eggs, steak tartar and two pasta dishes. Eggs first and steak tartar immediately following (before even 1 bite). Oysters were dropped on the table while we were still eating the first two dishes and food runner couldn't answer which was which. Pretty crowded table. The two pasta dishes came out while we were still on the oysters and they dropped those plates. Kind of tacky.
We decided to order a chicken dish that was cold when we got it. I asked if that's how it was supposed to be and they said not and corrected it pretty quickly, I'm not sure how that happens in a place like this?
Noted that we were celebrating our Anniversary since they asked if it was a "special occasion," yet not once was it acknowledged. Not a huge deal, but if they asked, I kind of expected for someone to at least say Happy Anniversary?
We'd probably go back but I think only for drinks in the bar. Even though the food was quite good, it was a pretty sorry experience in the dining room.
Pro Tip: Order only a course at a time.
Our experience began with an extremely rude host and hostess and ended with terrible waitstaff. Being pretentious won’t get you far in the restaurant industry. The food however, was decent. There are better places in LA that have less attitude and just as good of food.
In all we had a very pleasant evening (dinner for 3) with some mixed feelings. They advertise the menu as "family style" encouraged to share - yet the menu is set up traditionally as appetizers, main course and sides. So the sides came out first, followed by the appetizers and then the main course. By the time the entrees were served the sides were cold. Food quality and taste was excellent. Seating is very cramped and uncomfortable (especially these silly booths). Bar and eating area are separated which considering the noise level is probably a good thing. Service was polite but rather unpolished. "Hey guys" and leaning on the customers chairs just does not cut it
My recent visit to F&F was disappointing. Great drinks, nice service and a beautiful restaurant but the food was disappointing and the server had little knowledge. We found ourselves wondering if the restaurant allows the servers to eat the food. Go for drinks and somewhere else for dinner.
Our wait tress, Erica, was very friendly and warm. SHe definitely enhanced our experience. Similarly, the bus boys also were attentive and promptly took dishes that were done from the table. They also brought fresh plates and silverware several times. The service was definitely a high mark.
In terms of food, we had some really great dishes Burbank some that weren’t great. The oysters we had were not my favorite and didn’t taste as fresh as I like. The tuna carpaccio was great, kale salad was also fresh and tasty, chicken was divine, and the lamb was fantastic. The beef dish was acceptable, just nothing spectacular. The court stars were given for the oysters and the beef dish. Nonetheless, four out of six dishes were very good and were really worth coming to try.
All in all, this place has a lot right. A few enhancements to the very few mediocre dishes will make this place at the top of the restaurant scene. I would recommend giving it a try!
Amazing! From the culinary experience to the service. We had 5 people and ordered 12 plates and we were stuffed. The cocktails were some of the best I’ve ever had. I had the one with “milk” in the title even though it’s not a milky drink. It was amazing. Highly recommend
Faith and Flower was an awesome ambience for a large group. We had no trouble getting a reservation a few days before a Friday night meal. The sharing style allowed us to try lots and all of it was delicious. Augustine, our server, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The corkage fee was reasonable but we couldn’t resist the cocktails in addition to our wine. Great recommendations.
We had an incredible time at Faith and Flower. The service was on point. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful. The seafood risotto and baked Alaska are must haves. Definitely coming back for another special night. They also have a large table in a separate room for a larger group. Spotted a celebrity for those who that sort of thing matters.
