This was my second time here and my friends and I greatly enjoyed everything. The food this time was not as great as the first time around and a little cold by the time we received it. The cocktails were excellent and presentation of everything was also solid.
I was honestly slightly disappointed.
Not recommended for a special occasion dinner.
I came here for my one year anniversary, and was hoping that the reserved seats would be somewhere more romantic, intimate & good for private conversation. We came 15 minutes early to make sure our seating would be nice.
Instead we were seated almost less than 10 inches away from the table next to us both sides, and we could hear their conversations and ours. I was almost tempted to make a fuss and as to re-seat us, which I should have. I saw other couples seated in a larger two-person table in a booth, which was much more appealing, and seeming since I made this reservation 2 weeks ahead.
We got the tempera fried green beans (delicious), the lobster pasta (Delicious), and the pizza (delicious), including a last minute order of brussel sprouts (just ok almost slightly singed) but everything felt a bit heavy for my empty stomach.
I'll mention the vodka milk on a brighter note which was amazing, kudos to the award-winning drink ($16)
Also I forgot to mention, as soon as our first plate got to our table, the management asked us to move one table over (10 inches away) since there was going to be a party of 8 sitting next to us. They were merging the seats of the tables that were going to be empty soon.
It was kinda pricey for the overall experience & food.
Portions were okay.
We ended up storming out, without even taking a picture because it wasn't really worth the money we spent there.
Our waiter, food and cocktails were excellent! You must try the deviled eggs appetizer and their classic, award winning, Milk Punch cocktail....awesomeness 😎
Beautiful elegant decor. Very classic 20s style furniture. Excellent food. Friendly staff impeccable service
Beautiful restaurant, great decor!!!! The bar is lovely. We loved the deviled eggs (with sirachha!!) and the mushroom pasta. Everything looked amazing. Our waiter was very attentive. Our hostess was helpful with our disabled guest. We will be back.
Top notch all around. I have no complaints. This is one of my top 3 spots in LA for a reason.
Wonderful find in downtown LA. From the beautiful decor to the wonderful service, F&F impressed right from the start. The food is served family style and there wasn’t a dish that wasn’t incredibly flavorful in its own way.
We started with the Deviled Eggs which have a kimchi vibe to them that is truly unwise and delicious. The Braised Short Ribs fell off the bone and had incredible flavor. Loved the Spaghettini with Lobster - yumm! And rounded dinner out with perfectly cooked Lamb Chops with beets and the Cauliflower and Tempura Green Bean sides. Don’t skip dessert - the Bread Pudding was delicious but the Real star was the Baked Alaska (with flaming Absinthe).
I went there for a brunch, and it was really disappointed. Overall, the portion was small but price was expensive.
This restaurant not only had excellent cocktails and food, but the service was outstanding. We started with a cocktail the waiter recommended that I never would have chosen on my own that was one of the most delicious drinks I've ever tasted. (I believe it won a best cocktail award). I marked down on Open Table that it was a date and they sat us in a very cozy booth that was lovely. We were on the way to the opera that night and told the waiter who "rushed" the meal but the pace still felt relaxing. Definitely one of the better dining experiences I have had in a long while!
A great BRUNCH - food was fantastic - loved the Ceviche (a must have)! The atmosphere was great and can see why people come here so much!
We had such a lovely brunch at Faith &Flower. Everything was exceptional and we will totally come back, especially to try out the dinner menu! Thanks!!
Very Good. everything
Pear salad was excellent! A bit loud for conversation. It was lovely other than that.
Excellent food, extensive wine list, great service.
The atmosphere is lively and beautiful. The food was just OK. I was disappointed because I saw the reviews were so positive. We got the pork chop as the mushroom risotto.
The pork chop was marginal at best. It came with kale that tasted very strongly of fish. I know fish sauce is used frequently to add richness to a sauce, but this combination did not work. Our risotto was watery, not savory or tender. To top this off, our server appeared to be on drugs. Never made eye contact, repeated questions he had already asked and had answered, and had a hard time finding our table. This was a one and done.
We were encouraged to order 2-3 dishes per person, which was far too much food for the 3 of us. The dishes were tasty but underwhelming overall and felt that it was overpriced for what it was. The service was attentive and professional, the interior welcoming and warm on a winter night, but I couldn’t help but feeling rather taken at the end. We ordered a scallop aguachile that tasted fishy, using bay scallops rather than the nice larger ones. The broccoli was tasty, the short ribs undercooked and a bit stringy, needing better seasoning. The pizza was ok, but nothing special and at $20, definitely overpriced. The potatoes were nicely flavored and probably the best dish we ordered. Oh, well....
We met friends here for brunch and enjoyed it very much. Nice room, good food, reasonable.
Loved.❤️ It was so much good. Deviled eggs were off the hook!
I had been here before, few days prior to Valentine's day, and the food and drinks were amazing. Then I re visited and the same drink I had which was gin and tonic with a splash of cranberry was completely different, as was some food. I was a bit disappointed because i had ordered the same thing before and it wasn't the same thing after, but overall a great place. Must try.
I love this place! each time I’m there, I’m so well taken care of - the food is exquisite, the ambience is delightful whimsical and I’ve now had the same server - and table - twice, in a row. I’ starting to feel like a regular - and I LOVE THAT!!
can’t wait to go back :-)
I have loved this place in the past, but this meal was not very good. One of us had the Turkey BLT, which was hard to eat. The bread was stiff, the turkey dry, it was served lukewarm which left the sauce congealed and the overall sandwich not very appealing.
Got there a little early. The host did not greet us with a smile. 5min before the opened the bar asked us to step in the patio was not permitted for us to wait inside... we were waiting for the birthday girl so we stayed . But felt like leaving. Customer service should be priority.. but our bartender was great and so was our waiter Connor. Food is great love the oysters for only $1.00 at the bar with amazing drinks. Food is amazing. Yes I will be going back for that amazing bar !!!
Beautiful restaurant with friendly staff in downtown. My wife and I enjoyed the menu for a late valentines dinner and look forward to coming back.
We had a late Valentine’s Day dinner and it was fantastic. The service was spectacular and very personal. The food was great and perfectly cooked. Jarrod paired a great French wine that was an excellent complement to the meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there and will definitely be back again!
We absolutely loved this place, the ambience the decor, the food, the service. The drinks were amazing, every cocktail we ordered was so well prepared! My favorite were the carrots with goat cheese, and the cauliflower. We will definitely recommend dinner here! Loved it all!
Loved this place! I was staying downtown and saw the decor from the outside and knew I wanted t o try it. The service was wonderful, recommendations were superb and the food was fantastic. I will definitely eat here again!
I found the food forgettable and, by the time we left at 8:30, the noise level was overwhelming. Service was fine. I would go back if someone else made the arrangements but I would not book it again.
The place was great but they sat us at. 2 top right behind he check in desk and I didn’t like the table because it was tight and also cold from the front door. I asked to be moved but there weren’t any better tables.
Came here for lunch while visiting LA. A local recommended it to me and sadly, this place didn't deliver for me. The inside is super pretty, but the food was mediocre. I got the oxtail agnolotti, which was OK but nothing to get excited over, and the scallop ceviche which was lukewarm/room temperature and didn't taste fresh.
DTLA has a lot of good restaurants now. We want to try them out. So we chose Faith and Flower for our Valentine’s dinner. It didn’t disappoint. The food was good and the service is fantastic. We particularly like the ambient where we felt like in Europe or NY. The parking is very convenient with valet service on the side of the restaurant. We would return to try their regular menu in the near future.
Food was amazing, service was terrific, the sommelier was the sweetest! Can't say enough good things about this place. We were debating between trying out Redbird and Faith & Flower, but we're so so happy we came here for our Valentine's Day dinner. We got the prime rib, potatoes, steak tartare, sausage pizza, and the white chocolate bread pudding - which were all SO. GOOD. Especially the bread pudding - it was to die for.
Definitely planning on coming back, maybe for brunch this time since the restaurant is so cute!
I had the worst experience here we got here on time and they made us wait 15mins because Charolette and Anderson said a reservation just reserves the spot and it doesn't promise a time.. then the kitchen forgot one of our food orders.. and it was just the worst experience.
Fun place, good food, a little too dark though. Would go back and recommend.
Great Bar manager. Great mixed drinks. Our waitress amazing. On top of it. Food too greasy. Too many fried everything. Deserts: tired of salty deserts. I want salt in my food and sugar in my desert. The macaroons and the little deserts were really really bad. Hard tasteless macaroons. The praline desert was really good, except for the giant salt flakes in there. Without salt would have been amazing. Not worth the long drive, sorry :(
The server forgot to bring me the drink I ordered and brought me the wrong meal.
This was my third time at Faith & Flower (2 for lunch and 1 for dinner). No negative experience for me so far. All is good. Thx
Very nice ambiance, I would highly recommend ordering one of their amazing cocktails! The milky punch was the smoothest drink I've ever had! The lobster spaghetti was good, but too expensive and a very small portion. The Spumoni baked Alaska was amazing! Definitely a must try!
Absolutely amazing. The atmosphere, the music, and food were all excellent. It was my girlfriend and I’s anniversary, and they were kind enough to give us two free glasses of delicious rosé. A little pricey, but it’s worth it for the beautiful restaurant. I’m recommending this place to all my family and friends for special occasions. Great wine too.
I had put a birthday special request in opentable reservation. But this wasnt honored when i was at the restaurant which was kind of sad. Otherwise service was good though.
