About Faith & Flower
Faith & Flower is a contemporary Los Angeles restaurant located in the WaterMarke Tower in DTLA’s South Park district. The restaurant’s name pays homage to the two major renaissance periods—the 1920s and modern day—that have fundamentally shaped the Downtown Los Angeles community, with “Flower” referring to the street on which the restaurant lies today, and “Faith” for the street’s alleged name during the early 1920s.

Faith & Flower Ratings and Reviews
My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate my 24th birthday. We were looking for a fine dining experience that still had a fun vibe (a nice bar). When we walked in, I was immediately struck by the contemporary yet inviting style of this chic establishment.
While it did take a few moments to be seated by the hostesses, our waiter Zack took great care of us all night, guiding us from delicious drinks (I loved the English Milk Punch and Michael loved the Old Fashioned) to sumptuous dinner dishes (the oxtail and brussel sprouts are two standouts, in particular - although everything is delicious!), to dessert (Zack was also kind enough to surprise me with a complimentary birthday dessert that was phenomenal). He also taught me how to properly consume an absinthe drink called Leap of Faith - a fun experience that was definitely a highlight of the night!
Overall, Michael and I could not have been happier with our experience and are excited to come back to Faith and Flower to see what else they have to offer!
Wow! We discovered this gem while walking through our new DTLA neighborhood and weren't surprised later to find it on everyone's "Top" list of LA restaurants. The food was superb -- everything managed to be both "comfort food" and exotic at the same time. The service was among the best we have ever had -- anywhere -- and the ambiance is welcoming and intimate yet grand and elegant. We had the prix-fixe special menu, which afforded an abundance of choices, every single morsel delicious. Will we go back? Again and again and again!
I had my best friend visiting from Iowa, I got a job promotion, so it was a celebration of all sorts. She has celiac’s disease and our server was super knowledgeable about what was gluten-free and safe for her to eat. There were plenty of options and we both left feeling very full and satisfied. Oh, and he suggested the Milk Punch and we both got it and boy oh boy, what a delicious cocktail!! Thank you for making our night special! Will definitely come back another time!
I’ve been to this place 5 or 6 Times. I live close by and consider it one of my favorite local places. Beautiful, good service, etc. Don’t know what happened but the food we ordered the other night was NOT enjoyable. Oysters small and slimy with unmemorable sauces; carrots burned beyond recognition, chewy Brussels sprouts. Chicken was good, but that was it. Sorry, just telling it like it was
We had a spectacular experience.
The bartender Nick was stellar and made the evening a special experience.
We had quite the conversation before dinner and he was great about sharing drink-making tips for example.
The food and the staff were stellar.
It was great to the extend that we arrived about 5:10 and did not leave until 9:00 and we had a 5:30 reservation.
Worth the drive from orange County!
Our server Zach, the ambiance, and the food were very good overall (the braised ribs were a bit tough and overcooked but all other dishes were great). However, the hostess on-duty was quite dismissive and rude, in our opinion. She did not smile at all when she greeted me/us and during our interaction with her. This is not the type of service that is expected at a fine dining establishment. Unfortunately, the initial interaction with her dampened our whole experience at F&F.
Food was very good! For me the green water goblets are a signature decoration for this restaurant. Be sure to see the wall decoration made with old hand mirrors. The waitress
was mannered and friendly. Water and ice tea refills were frequent. I expect to go there
Offered us still or sparkling water only to find out they had “run out” of water. No apparent embarrassment for that.
Server asked if our food was all good despite half of it not having yet arrived.
One of the worst risottos I’ve eaten.
15min wait to get car back from valet.
Not in a hurry to return, though I do now have my car
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. I wanted to try a dtla restaurant that we’ve never tried before, I had passed by Faith and Flower several times, and the reviews seemed decent. However, once we were seated, the waiter told us that service would be slow. It was and the place wasn’t packed. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t good enough to make up for the slow service. We ordered the ceviche and we were not impressed: The fish was bland and I didn’t care for the taste of the scallop ceviche. My LA Breakfast was a gloried dish with eggs, ground beef and chickpeas. Nothing special.
Overall, it was a failed experiment. One I will not repeat.
Food, drink and service from our waitress once we were seated was phenomenal. What lacked was the service at the host stand. No one was there to greet us for 10 full minutes. Finally the bar manager walked over and asked us to take a seat in the bar. There were 6 open tables in the front, yet we had to wait another 10 mins to be seated. 20 full mins after we arrived (on time for our 8pm ressie) we were seated.
The hostess never apologized when she finally materialized and was disinterested and unwelcoming to other guests as well.
