Faith & Flower
We had a lovely table in the back of restaurant. The food was very good. We were celebrating my daughters birthday. The waitress brought a lovely panacotta dessert at the end of our meal. The only negatives were that one of our guests ordered the French Toast and the kitchen ran out and our drink order wasn’t taken until after our meal order was taken and we realized we didn’t order beverages. We had to get our waitress back for that but she got them to us quickly. Also a 3% kitchen fee was put on our check at the end which we have never seen before. That was crazy because the food is all ready priced high. But all in all we had a nice experience.
Beautiful space and delicious brunch plates that we shared family style.
Always great service and terrific food and cocktails.
Our server was super attentive and helpful and everything he recommended was delicious. He really helped make our anniversary special!
We sat outside in their front patio area, which turned out to be better as it was really loud inside and we enjoyed a really delicious dinner. Everything was delicious but the Red Wine Braised Short Rib was my favorite. We also got and loved the Thai Snapper Carpaccio, the Deviled Jidori Eggs, the Winter Vegetable Crudité Salad, the broccoli and the ribeye, which was juicy and perfectly cooked and had a delicious sauce.
The sommelier gave us a fantastic recommendation of a delightful grenache after listening to what we were looking for, a more full body pinot. It's a shame the inside is as loud as it is because the restaurant is beautiful but it's fun for certain occasions and the vibe was really exciting. We'll try it during the week next time and sit inside, we went on a Saturday.
Loved this experience. Great food, beautiful restaurant, wonderful service.
Enjoyed our dinner. Lovely date place with great service and amazing food.
We were amazed by our first visit to Faith and Flower...the ambiance food and service were all excellent - and we will definitely be back!!
Beautiful setting and delicious food! Will definitely be back in the future :)
Great atmosphere! Great food! Great service - Anil was very friendly and helpful!
The food selection is semi-limited, there may be more cocktails than food options! But we still enjoyed what we had. Between the two of us, we had Crab Toast, Sea Bass, Mushroom Ravioli, and Mushroom Risotto and it came out to about $115. There was more than enough food, and the decor of the restaurant is beautiful! I hope to be back soon!
Faith & Flower was highly recommended by a friend that lives in LA. We had a reservation, but when we checked in, it appeared they didn't have a table inside for us. Our only option was an outside table which was fine, but definitely took away from the ambiance. It also seemed to make you not part of the restaurant. 30 minutes went by without a waiter coming by at all. I went in to let the hostess know this. Someone did come over and made it sound as if she was just helping out. We did order and a manager came over and apologized and bought us our first round of drinks. We essentially never heard from a waiter or anyone again. We had to get someone's attention to order more drinks. The food service was very good, but it was all delivered by different people that only serve. The food was good, but not exceptional as we had expected. I would potentially try it again if I am ever in the LA area because I'm hoping this was a fluke and a product of the fact that we were not inside the restaurant.
The food was mediocre. Need I say more. It is a lovely space but only half the seats are comfortable. If you sit side-by-side you’ll be fine but if you want to sit across from each other one of you is going to be uncomfortable. The service was very good.
Our server was incredibly funny and friendly and everything we ordered was delicious. There was a live band the night we went so the atmosphere was great.
Awful service, took 45 minutes to get my dinner order in despite a half-full dining room and appearing appropriately staffed. Food was fine, decor is nice. The wait was absolutely not worth it. Go elsewhere.
Our first trip to L.A and we found the best possible dining spot! This restaurant encourages sharing plates and sampling dishes. Our server, Angela was a great help in describing dishes and making suggestions. She allowed the pace of our meal to be spread out over the evening, which made our meal very relaxing. All plates were delicious! Make sure to try the short rib. It was perfectly cooked and tender.
The other star of our evening was Troy, the sommelier! His additions and suggestions rounded out the meal to make this an unforgettable occasion. He was so welcoming by the end of the night we felt like we had known him for years.
Both Angela and Troy made us feel so very important.
Amazing Experience, Tasty Food and perfect cocktail
Ribeye was good. Mushroom porcini ravioli was excellent. I wanted to order another. Came with 6 bite-sized raviolis. Really small dish for the price. Came to around $5/bite.
The scallops were very good too. It reminded me of the Japanese dynamite dish but American style.
Deviled eggs were OK. Nothing great. Good to add something to your stomach.
Both salads lacked citrus of sort. It was just covered with oil. Needed a citrus kick.
Dungeness toast.... wouldn’t order it again. Its one of those things where you have to try it once then you’re over it. Again it lacked something. Just to bland. Nothing special about it. Yea, its crab out of its shell so maybe thats what you pay for? Crab was not even sweet.
Service is where they get lower stars. It was on the verge of bad. Our server was handling the whole half of the room. Seemed like she was attending to everyone but us. And when i did catch her, i felt like i owed her a lot for coming to me.
Place needs more servers. The really do..
Valentine’s day — wine.
One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. The craft cocktails were fantastic. All the food was exceptional. Service was delightful. Highly recommend.
Quaint and fun Californian Italian fare, interesting brunch menu... would come back to try dinner
Enjoyed our breakfast very much. However, the music selection and volume was very distracting and the system is not able to be adjusted by the staff. This seems like something that might be able to be addressed for an even better overall experience.
Our ribeyes were not good, avoid the ribeye. Everything else was great.
It was okay honestly the food wasn’t that great and everything was just okay not something I would want to return to. The best part about the restaurant was the decor and style. I probably won’t be returning
Fantastic experience, love the ambience and the music played in the background. Lovely lovely time. Very accommodating and didn’t feel a pressure to leave even when they were closing for brunch and cleaning up for evening dinner
Gorgeous restaurant, easy to find, delicious food and drinks.
Went for valentines dinner. They have a great drink, English milk punch, that you get at the bar while you wait for your table. The food is excellent. The menu was prix fixe and we loved our choices. 1st course was duck confit and a pasta dish, 2nd course was a petit steak and salmon. We loved everything.
The service was very good and the sommelier recommended an excellent bottle of wine, but the food was terrible. We went for Valentine’s Day and there was a set menu. I ordered duck confit for my first entree. It was burned to the point if being jerky and inedible. The jidori chicken was just overcooked parmesan chicken breast. Again overcooked to the point of being inedible. My date’s first course was spaghetti with a cream sauce and “caviar;” it was not caviar but rather roe. Nonetheless, that dish tasted pretty good. His main course was a petit New York steak. Nothing special, but fine. It was steak. Our reservation was at 10 PM and I hadn’t eaten since 1, so I was starving, but I was still only able to get down 5 bites of my meal - 3 duck and 2 chicken. NONE of my meal was worth eating.
Moral: If you want somewhere pretty to take a date for drinks, sure. But do not attempt to eat the food.
Everything was great as usual. We love this place. The Valentines day menu was delightful and the sommelier helped us choose the perfect wine pairing!
When we first came, the hostess seated outside in the cold toward the corner of the building . I had mentioned that there was a bad smell there and the management quickly found us a different table. Management (Anthony and Patrick) there were very responsive and professional. They get an A++. We had a great Valentines dinner thanks to their understanding and quick response to address and solve our problem .
food was bad. I could make better tasting food at home. very low quality and overpriced food. the best part of the course was the dessert. Our main course also came out 50 minutes after the first course. I wasn't even hungry after that. Maybe non valentines day is better, but that valentines menu is ridiculous. mcdonalds is better
Valentine’s Day dinner was a fixed menu but all the food & drinks were delicious!
Food seemed to lack taste. I've been to many high end restaurants for from sushi to fine dining and expensive steakhouses. Confit duck leg was not bad....had a bitter taste in my mouth. Hand made spaghetti was good. Salmon was good. Petite New York steak was good.
But that's the thing......it was just........good. Certainly not amazing, and not great either.
Not worth the amount paid. I'll spend $300+ on two anytime at a place like Nobu because there it's just great. Any who.......this place is worth a try though it didn't cut it for my taste
Food was great but a bit overpriced for what it was. It also took 40 mins between each course and our experience ended up taking 3 hours for a small portion 3 course menu. Wouldn’t mind coming back but when it’s less busy.
This was the most overpriced meal I’ve ever had. Happy to pay for good food but this was awful, genuinely tasteless, tiny portions, found bones in my tuna tartare, incredibly badly made drinks for $20, would never ever go back.
I made 2-person reservation a few days prior through Open Table for 1:00 p.m. on Valentines Day. I chose Standard seating and not outside. When we entered, the hostess found our reservations but then proceeded to ask whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. The place was approximately 40% full. She then proceeded to take us to a small two seat table cramped in between two other couples. It would have been nice if they had set aside a table for us like they were expecting us rather than like other walk-ins. I noticed another couple in a booth and asked a nearby server if we can move to an empty booth. She told us we had to ask the hostess. I went to the hostess and although she said okay, it seemed like we were a bother.
Our server was nice enough. She commented "oh that's my favorite" to most of our choices. She seemed very hurried and we felt rushed in placing our orders. For appetizers, we ordered the Salmon tartare which was delicious. We also had the fried green beans which were just okay. The green beans came out late as our server put in deviled eggs instead. My wife had the trout which was delicious. I had the oxtail agnololotti, which was also delicious. We also ordered a glass of rose and a beer.
Overall, the food was decent and the ambience was on-point. However, the service did not warrant the relative high price where you would expect on-point service.
Lovely fine dinning and affordable
Food was delicious, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had, and the pasta dish with venison was to die for I would 100% go there again just for those two dishes. Would highly recommend
As always this place is superb... The Big Glory Bay Salmon tartare and Tai Snapper Carpaccio were show stoppers !
A great way to high end pre game before Kings game at the Staples center. We even went back for a late night Negroni after the game (to celebrate a Kings victory of course)
