Faith & Flower is a contemporary Los Angeles restaurant located in the WaterMarke Tower in DTLA’s South Park district. The restaurant’s name pays homage to the two major renaissance periods—the 1920s and modern day—that have fundamentally shaped the Downtown Los Angeles community, with “Flower” referring to the street on which the restaurant lies today, and “Faith” for the street’s alleged name during the early 1920s.

Ribeye was good. Mushroom porcini ravioli was excellent. I wanted to order another. Came with 6 bite-sized raviolis. Really small dish for the price. Came to around $5/bite.

The scallops were very good too. It reminded me of the Japanese dynamite dish but American style.

Deviled eggs were OK. Nothing great. Good to add something to your stomach.

Both salads lacked citrus of sort. It was just covered with oil. Needed a citrus kick.

Dungeness toast.... wouldn’t order it again. Its one of those things where you have to try it once then you’re over it. Again it lacked something. Just to bland. Nothing special about it. Yea, its crab out of its shell so maybe thats what you pay for? Crab was not even sweet.

Service is where they get lower stars. It was on the verge of bad. Our server was handling the whole half of the room. Seemed like she was attending to everyone but us. And when i did catch her, i felt like i owed her a lot for coming to me.
Place needs more servers. The really do..

Fantastic experience, love the ambience and the music played in the background. Lovely lovely time. Very accommodating and didn’t feel a pressure to leave even when they were closing for brunch and cleaning up for evening dinner

Went for valentines dinner. They have a great drink, English milk punch, that you get at the bar while you wait for your table. The food is excellent. The menu was prix fixe and we loved our choices. 1st course was duck confit and a pasta dish, 2nd course was a petit steak and salmon. We loved everything.

The service was very good and the sommelier recommended an excellent bottle of wine, but the food was terrible. We went for Valentine’s Day and there was a set menu. I ordered duck confit for my first entree. It was burned to the point if being jerky and inedible. The jidori chicken was just overcooked parmesan chicken breast. Again overcooked to the point of being inedible. My date’s first course was spaghetti with a cream sauce and “caviar;” it was not caviar but rather roe. Nonetheless, that dish tasted pretty good. His main course was a petit New York steak. Nothing special, but fine. It was steak. Our reservation was at 10 PM and I hadn’t eaten since 1, so I was starving, but I was still only able to get down 5 bites of my meal - 3 duck and 2 chicken. NONE of my meal was worth eating.
Moral: If you want somewhere pretty to take a date for drinks, sure. But do not attempt to eat the food.

When we first came, the hostess seated outside in the cold toward the corner of the building . I had mentioned that there was a bad smell there and the management quickly found us a different table. Management (Anthony and Patrick) there were very responsive and professional. They get an A++. We had a great Valentines dinner thanks to their understanding and quick response to address and solve our problem .

food was bad. I could make better tasting food at home. very low quality and overpriced food. the best part of the course was the dessert. Our main course also came out 50 minutes after the first course. I wasn't even hungry after that. Maybe non valentines day is better, but that valentines menu is ridiculous. mcdonalds is better

Food seemed to lack taste. I've been to many high end restaurants for from sushi to fine dining and expensive steakhouses. Confit duck leg was not bad....had a bitter taste in my mouth. Hand made spaghetti was good. Salmon was good. Petite New York steak was good.
But that's the thing......it was just........good. Certainly not amazing, and not great either.
Not worth the amount paid. I'll spend $300+ on two anytime at a place like Nobu because there it's just great. Any who.......this place is worth a try though it didn't cut it for my taste

Food was great but a bit overpriced for what it was. It also took 40 mins between each course and our experience ended up taking 3 hours for a small portion 3 course menu. Wouldn’t mind coming back but when it’s less busy.

This was the most overpriced meal I’ve ever had. Happy to pay for good food but this was awful, genuinely tasteless, tiny portions, found bones in my tuna tartare, incredibly badly made drinks for $20, would never ever go back.

Food was delicious, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had, and the pasta dish with venison was to die for I would 100% go there again just for those two dishes. Would highly recommend

As always this place is superb... The Big Glory Bay Salmon tartare and Tai Snapper Carpaccio were show stoppers !
A great way to high end pre game before Kings game at the Staples center. We even went back for a late night Negroni after the game (to celebrate a Kings victory of course)

All around amazing restaurant! Cocktails were amazing as well as the dinner itself. Our server was helpful, guiding us through the concept of the restaurant, and offering suggestions. Would definitely return any chance I get.

We had reservations for 12:15pm and arrived at 12:10pm. We checked in and were told that our table would be ready shortly. We went to the bar and ordered a Mimosa. While waiting for our table another couple came into the restaurant after us (around 12:20pm) and were seated before us. I went back to the hostess and asked how long and she said the table would be ready in a couple minutes. About 12:30pm we were sat down. Food and drink were very enjoyable. We had the Tuna Tataki, Brioche French Toast, Green Beans, Latte and Mimosas. Table service was above average. Despite our hostess experience I would return to the restaurant, but if it happened again I would find another place to eat.

Overall, the staff was extremely congenial and generous. We ordered the granola with berries, but it only came with strawberries and grapes. One of the employees was very kind and provided a 20% discount on our meal. Otherwise the ambiance was amazing for brunch in busy DTLA. The food was good but expected.

Great meal! From start to finish. Two colleagues from the east coast joined me for dinner and they loved it as well. Zac and Patrick were super nice, funny, patient and gave great recommendations.
Food was amazing. Flavorful. Unique. Good portions. Delicious cocktails. Fantastic desserts.

I never bother with these reviews. But this time I am going to bother.

This experience was ok. OK. Not bad, actually rather nice. Service was nice. But whole thing left me cold. And darn it, it was too expensive to just let go.

Example: Ordered fondue. It was delicious. But lots of fondue left after finishing the carrots, potatoes and five small toast points that came with it. We asked for a few more carrots or bread. Were told that that would be charged as a second order. Fondue was $18. We said no thank you.

Upon reflection, this small slight, after the rest of the meal was delicious, makes me want to go into a tirade that infects the whole LA area until this restaurant t doesn’t exist anymore. And any other restaurants the owner has. And his children. And his tiny no existent children’s children’s restaurants. Not sure what it was, but that wrecked it.

In addition to this silliness (bread doesn’t cost $18, carrots don’t cost $18), our $34 entree, which we were encouraged to order to share, was at most 2oz of meat. Delicious but measly. Even my twenty something kids were surprised. It was just not right. And they knew it. And mentioned this in a nice way. Not shareable. Not even an entree size. United Airlines would not serve this in a plane as an entree. It was smaller than that. Ok?

I eat out OFTEN. And this experience has me so upset I am sitting here, in my hotel room, on vacation, writing a review (my first in my LONG history of Open Table) late at night having sent my eldest son and his lovely girlfriend home after our special dinner. (Which disappointed)

Please tell me you can do better. Should I have “Faith” in Faith and Flower, or give up hope?

Late lunch (actually the final seating) and we were welcomed warmly. Decided to sit outside on the patio as it was a semi warm day. My wife got a chill and the server offered to start the heat lamp- so nice and accommodating. Our server was friendly and knew the menu really well. He also checked on us to ensure we were enjoying our meal.
The food was interesting as my wife had the Celery Root soup with trout roe and I had the tuna tataki and the salad of radicchio, pecorino cheese and truffle. The combo of three small plates was the perfect mix for lunch. Each dish was balanced and the ingredients were high quality.
We will be back

First off, the restaurant is so gorgeous. I loved the atmosphere and decorations. I was there for dinela with a friend, and all the food was so good.
For the appetizer, we got a dish that felt like a lobster pot pie and a carpaccio. The lobster pot pie was so delicious! It was one of my favorite dishes throughout the meal. The carpaccio was not the best that I have had, but I loved the flavor. When I told my friend that it tasted “fancy”, she knew exactly what I meant. For the mains, the sea bass felt a little dry, but the ny steak was cooked to perfection. I think the main event was definitely in the dessert though. I don’t remember what the other dish was, but the panna cotta with yuzu sherbert was HEAVENLY!! Coming from OC, I would drive to downtown just for the dessert again! Overall would highly recommend for a date night or just a nice meal!

I have been to the LA live area a number of times, this is the first time to find this restaurant. I t is s little out of the way but we'll worth it. Had oysters, a sausage pizza and the Japanese purple potatoes all excellent, the best was their signature cocktail, Suntory Whiskey Highball, a throwback that was easy to drink. Zack our server made suggestions and helped on the choices, impressed with his low key style

My and my boyfriend came for the DineLA experience and we had such a beautiful night and the staff were super accomodating with my broken foot and crutches. The manager Tony was very sweet and extremely helpful and the food and drinks here were divine! Definitely coming back and would give this place and experience 10 stars if I could! Thank you!
