Faith & Flower
This is the quintessential DTLA restaurant: hip, trendy, a bit overpriced, good drinks and food, friendly waiters all bustling in the shadows of gleaming skyscrapers and old LA.
Chicken sandwich was overcooked, bun not fresh, fries tasted like they were frozen - thus making for a very dry sandwich.
I suggest going for any reason.
Theater night with my wife. Food and service both excellent.
Best thing was the Valet parking and the bread. Did NOT like being told (not aksed) that hte food would come out when it is ready.
Enjoyed the sea bass immensely. A culinary masterpiece.
Great setting, staff is knowledgeable and pretty on top of things. Food is good, but prices are higher than they should be for this menu.
Food was delicious, but waitress was all but absent after taking our order. Drinks were slow to arrive and had to ask staff passing by for wine refills, to get our check and then to fix an error on the check.
Jared, the Sommelier was just awesome! Makes choosing your wine from their massive wine list (and I do mean massive), very easy.
The freshest and most flavorful food and i I highly recommend GOAT’S MILK CHEESECAKE
Great food, service was a tad slow.
Great atmosphere! I had the California Waldorf salad! Very nice and friendly staff.
Everything at Faith and Flower is enchanting. From the books used to insert menus, to the original cocktails and savory dishes, our experience was perfection.
Took my parents out to eat with my girlfriend. Best dining experience I’ve had in Los Angeles. Beautiful ambiance, wonderful service, and delicious food. Such a perfect night.
Food was good, but the portions were small for the high cost. Wait staff was excellent
Love it here good brunch. I have been here twice and had the Jidori eggs, classic 2 egg breakfast, pizza and the French Toast. The French Toast is delicious. Service is good. I appreciate the coffee refills. I had a really good caffeine buzz going. Highly recommend coming with friends or family for brunch!
Food was delicious. Service started out great and then...what happened? Before we received out entree choices, we asked for more wine. We didn't see our server again until we needed our bill, and since we were sitting outside, we couldn't get anyone's attention. Our server said "I didn't forget about you -- I was thinking about you." What? Oh well. Service was forgettable. Food was delicious.
This place is beautiful restaurant with great ambiance, great service and even a great Wine Sommelier. The food is underwhelming and over priced. We had a Waldorf salad that was ok at best, fried green beans which we really loved, a ribeye that was over salted and had a LOT of fat on it, and a margarita pizza which was just ok. We finished with a peach flambé that was fun to see at the table but again underwhelming at best.
They tried to make the best experience possible with personal waiters, the chef came out and said hello, and the Sommelier even teased our kid in fun. It was as if they knew the food couldn’t bring you back but maybe everything else could.
Service was fantastic. We were going to the LA Phil and running later than intended. First of all, I had asked for patio seating but upon arrival decided it was too hot. The hostess graciously reseated us. Augustine assisted us with menu choices that could come out fairly quickly. The sommelier, Jared, was completely charming and helped us with a lovely French white burgundy. Our meals were excellent and we made it to the symphony on time. Can’t wait to return when not in a hurry.
Every dish we ordered was delicious. The servers were attentive.
Great place--great food, service, atmosphere. Hard to find a better place to eat anywhere. Highly recommend the devil eggs, bacon wrapped pork and "flaming peaches."
Very good. We love the fries and tempura green beans. We asked for extra sauces but the server was very busy with large business groups and forgot. Other than that fantastic food.
The restaurant, food, ambiance and service overall was great, as always. By service, I mean the people who brought the food out to us. Our actual server, Lyndsey S. was the worst. It took forever for her to do anything - from taking our drink orders, delivering the drinks, taking our food order, coming around to check on our table, and everything. She never once apologized. The restaurant was busy, but not THAT busy. It was a Tuesday night! We asked her to help take a picture of us at one point, and she said “ok I’ll be right back.” And then never came back to take the picture. She didn’t apologize for it. And it never registered to her that she never came back to take the picture. We love the dessert here, but by that point, we were so over her terrible service, we just had our credit cards ready and handed them to her. We were a party of 3, so it wasn’t a big table or difficult. We didn’t request any substitutions and had easy orders! We just didn’t get it. She should be fired and should never be a server anywhere nice. Lyndsey should work behind a register at a drive thru where no one can see her scowling face.
The restaurant and food itself was amazing though! And other servers we’ve had here have always been very attentive and great!
Great service, great food, perfect for pre-concert meal.
Probably the best meal I have had in Los Angeles. But the noise level was unacceptable. There is no acoustic mitigation in the room at all, only all hard surfaces. It really shows. A group of women were cutting up across the way from us, being super loud and it was literally deafening. They tried to seat a table next to them and they refused it was so loud. For a $200 check, I should not have to scream across the table. Even after they left it was still too loud for my taste. That being said though, I will still return. I hope the noise is mitigated next time.
Great food, a little pricey but worth it. Shareable menu options would recommend 3 dishes shared amongst 2 people
I loved the vibe but the wait time to be seated was a little long although we made a reservation but the short rib I ordered was amazing! And the service was Great!!
Great menu, ambiance, service and vibe. For downtown LA, this is a great place to eat, meet with friends or colleagues with plenty of space in a delightful atmosphere.
Inside was too loud for our group to enjoy; the night we sat outside was much better
Terrible service and value. We were charged for water which came in $6 bottles after being given the option of sparkling and still (we chose still). Our food wasn’t coursed; everything came at the same time despite being told we needed order everything immediately so it could be coursed. Had to find our own silverware as well, lol
We had a reservation for a high table. We got a low table in the dining room instead of the bar. We ordered drinks and it took 20 minutes to be served. Our waiter was amazing and our food was amazing.
This place is way over priced . Good food but not worth the price.
They sat us next to the bar. Really noisy, so many people walking by.
Terrible beers, no name brands. Gotta have name brands Heineken, stela ... ect.
Wonderful venue, server was delightful, attentive and helpful. Food was delicious and some different tastes, a nice surprise. Good variety of wines both. I'll be back.
Dinner prior to theatre. Rum punch excellent. Deviled eggs not great , as was crusted sea bass. Crudo good , short rib also. None of other dishes were memorable
Outstanding food and experience. But..... our heater kept turning off. We had to keep asking for it to be turned back on. Other than that it was great
We ordered 4 items to share (honestly, three would have sufficed). One dish we really didn’t like. There was nothing “wrong” with it, and the description on the menu was intriguing. However, it just didn’t come together in a way that we enjoyed. We made no mention of it to our server, but he noticed we’d only taken two bites of it and so we came clean; we told him we just didn’t like it. He kindly, and without us asking, removed it from the bill. Afterward, the manager/owner (?) came by to offer me another drink. I was driving so I turned it down, but was grateful for the offer.
Our other dishes were excellent, the service was outstanding and I really enjoyed the “look” of the place. Outstanding service/policy handling a dish we didn’t like and didn’t ask any special treatment for. Would most definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
We flew in to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday. From the get-go everything was fabulous. Our server was super nice and helpful, attentive without being “in your face” , Cocktails and wine were superb. We especially liked the fact that they had a decent sized selection of GOOD half bottles. Our food was just delicious - not a single thing was left untouched. Oysters were the best I’ve had in a while (and I live half the year on a beach that supplies some
beautiful oysters) We had one very unadventurous eater so we ordered the steak to be safe and ensure he had something he would like...well... I was pushing the steak on everyone else as he was trying everything and declaring it all delicious! A lovely final touch was the trio of desserts with candles for my son. He doesn’t like a big scene but he loved the low key acknowledgement - a huge thank you to the staff for reading it right!!
F & F is a marvelous place to take out of town visitors and a great hang just with old friends. One of my top spots in downtown LA.
The food itself was a bit underwhelming. Service was excellent as was the ambiance. A bit loud, but that’s the area.
