Faith & Flower
What Insiders Are Saying
Faith & Flower is a Financial District restaurant where everything is over the top, but done right. Use it for pretty much anything, from date night to dinner with your boss. And whatever you do, get a cocktail or two.
Absolutely fantastic food and service!
Serves and greeter all hospitable and warm. They made you feel welcome.
The food and cocktails at Faith and Flower are amazing!! However the food portions are extremely small. Be prepared to enjoy unique and tasty items, also be prepared to spend a lot.
I would only recommend the indoor seating. Food was good but we sat outside in the patio and every few minutes the smell of marijuana would waft into the patio. There was no one outside so the smell had to be coming from above. The smell was overwhelming and disrupted our meal.
We've been to this restaurant 2 times and look forward to coming back again. The service is top-notch and the food is very good.
Great place. Everything tasted amazing. Service was top notch.
Outside was much quieter than inside. But looked pretty neat inside. Staff way super nice
It Is a BEAUTIFUL place! Service was fantastic. Having live music is nice but we were seated right next to the band and couldn't hear each other talk. Not what I had expected for the evening. Food was a bit ....over salted and limited. Not what I saw on their website.
very good time at this restaurant. nice big portions and excellent wait staff.
The best meal that we had while attending a conference near the LA convention center. Everything we ordered was amazing, but the lamb dish was the best of them all. We also really enjoyed the dessert: the panna cotta and the goat cheese cheesecake.
Exceptional space, service, and food!
Very poor service
My daughter just had her first child and the grand parents were celebrating!
They were not prepared for the concert crowd on a Sunday. Waited for way too long not just for food, but also drinks.
Slow service first half which made for a very long night.
Way too noisy.
Awesome food. Fairly priced.
Love love the place. The only complaint I have is the Valet person. He was very rude.
I am not sure if it's that my sister was with her girlfriend showing a bit of PDA. and that made him uncomfortable. But he made a rude remark . He basically said, we were not ladies.
I never complain. But this was not a nice thing to say. But the restaurant was amazing.. Everyone loved that place and can't wait to come back.
Great place for a first date, the plates are great for sharing, and the bartender was awesome!
Overall good meal. Service started out real slow but ended up being good. Food and drinks were good and the place is really pretty!
Definitely a place to see and be seen. Lovely restaurant ambience.
It was a really good restaurant. Food was fantastic. I genuinely liked it. It wasn’t advertised but a lot of idea of the food there probably came from Chinese cuisine. A lot of dishes strike similarity of Chinese food. ( the good and authentic one, not Panda Express). Cocktails are phenomenal! It was really loud for sure. Space was a bit crowded. If you are anything above average weight, you are gonna need to be careful moving. Server was nice.
My 40th birthday
Service was subpar
Cute spot for brunch or a date. Really interesting twists on common food items, and sometimes it's a hit (like the deviled eggs and hash browns)! They are not super attentive, which can be nice sometimes, and is likely due to how they spread out diners. Would return!
This was the worst dining experience I've ever had. Here goes: I made a reservation for Saturday at 9:30 p.m. My group of 12 arrived a few minutes before 9:30, at which time the hostess said something along the lines of "we weren't expecting your full group to be on time" (side note: isn't that the point of a reservation?) and told us another large party was finishing their dinner and it would be a few minutes. Well, a few minutes turned into almost an hour. We weren't seated until around 10:20 p.m. and I was told if I cancelled the reservation (you know, the one set for 9:30) that I would be charged $55/per person, so I stayed with the expectation that the food and service would be worth the wait (spoiler alert: it wasn’t).
Well, they completely missed the mark on service. It was consistently slow between appetizers/entrees/drinks, and they even forgot one entree so someone didn't get the dinner they ordered. On top of that, getting the check--and being billed for the right amount--proved to be a fiasco as well. In total we spent 3+ hours here, and I'm sure it's a night none of us will forget but for all the wrong reasons.
They deserve the one star because the food was good and they tried to make up for it by giving us a free appetizer. But was it worth all the waiting? No, but if you need to kill a few hours and you're in the area this is the perfect place to go.
I made reservations for 4, and indicated we were ok with a high-top table seating. However, this table was positioned right at the entrance of the bar where people congregated waiting to be seated. It felt claustrophobic having people standing up against our chairs and tables as we were trying to have conversations and enjoy our meal. This table should be for bar seating as a first-come-first-serve as it really negatively impacted our evening. The food was tasted good but the waitress made us feel guilty for not ordering enough plates to her standards. Overall, we enjoyed each other's company but we're unsure if we'll be back.
Roll of the dice, we may have been at the worst table in the restaurant. I was bumped 4 times while seating at the high top table next to the bar area. While the waitress did her best to help us, it was too loud and she missed some of our orders. In addition, we had the customers waiting to be seated to one side of us. It took an hour before our entree was ready and we almost missed our show. I would recommend that they remove the high top tables from that one spot. It’s not worth these types of reviews. I feel slighted of a very expensive meal for corporate greed. Shame on the person who made that decision.
My daughter and I had dinner @ Faith & Flower before a show at The Ahmanson. Our server, Angela, was friendly, professional and knowledgable. She made suggestions and was particularly kind to my young daughter. The food was excellent! Always a treat to dine @ Faith & Flower.
Great service, ambiance and setting, Cocktails are good but food is average, slight improvement in food can make this restaurant great!
Very slow service, asked for water from our waiter three times. Food took a while to bring out and was cold upon receipt.
Excellent wine selection with a knowledgeable sommelier.
We came for the first time on Wednesday so that we could listen to the jazz group. We had heard great things about the food and were excited to try it. We ordered the duck breast, agnolotti, and beans. All of the food was tasty, but portions were VERY small. There were only four tiny slices of duck and the pasta was enough for one (not very hugry person) as an appetizer. The food was only not particularly hot. Anyway, if you want to come for the atmosphere (quite lovely) and the music, you should have dinner before you come . There is a Carls Junior not far from there. We left hungry and cranky.
Great food. Excellent wine recommendations
The food and drinks were phenomenal!
The service was good and the decor of the restaurant was fitting. My party did not enjoy any of the food. Overall very expensive for the quality of taste.
Everting is awesome. However, our reservation was at 6:15pm but we ran a little bit late ( we got there at 6:30pm). and after the host sat us down and after the food/drinks arrived. it's already 7pm. They told us we only have the table until 8:30pm because we are late. This is pretty upsetting because i came to see my friends from the bay area, and we only had one and half hour to catch up. We had to find other places to go after dinner. This is not cool. I was planning to stay there and order drinks and chat. I understand this is reservation based. but it shouldn't limit each table such a short period of time to dine/drink.
We had a great pew-theater dinner at Faith & Flower. Will definitely return. We shared the mushroom risotto, the duck breast and the Brussels sprouts. All were delicious. We had an early reservation so it was pleasantly quiet when we were seated but as people started streaming in, it got more and more noisy. The service was friendly & efficient and the waiter kept his eye on the clock, knowing we had theater tickets.
Food was terrible. I’ve eaten here a couple of times and it was wonderful. My chicken sandwich was over cooked and dry and my colleague’s burger was cold. Service was subpar and add that to the overall experience and it was 3 out of 10.
Love the place, must have the hash browns and pancakes!
My fiancé and I were so excited to give this restaurant a try! We’ve had it booked mark for so long now. It’s safe to say we ordered a good variety of the dishes they offer. We started with kimchi deviled eggs, tempura fried green beans, Brussels sprouts, the oxtail and ended with the ribeye. Out of all those dishes the only think memorable was the kimchi deviled eggs. Would we go back for them though? No! The food was subpar and mediocre and not to mention really salty and oily. The ribeye was so thin and over cooked ( asked for medium and got well done) The ambiance was pretty and chic, but I don’t really care about decor! I care about food ! Anyway had to get it off my chest. Save your $$ and go somewhere else.
