Having been for afternoon tea at the Banff Springs,and Fairmont Empress Victoria, our experience at Chateau Lake Louise was mediocre in comparison. The Veuve Clicquot pour of champagne was the lesser of the 2 when compared to the standard sparkling wine, which immediately leaves the impression of “cost savings”. I tried to add the Lobster and Caviar to our order, a $250 premium, but was told they didn’t have any caviar. Let’s face it, you’re talking about a highly ranked pricey hotel? They should never be out of caviar. The sandwiches were good, not great, and you can easily get better croissants at your local French bakery. The cake/cookie of the raspberry dessert tasted rather stale. Our kids didn’t like the desserts on the kids serving, and their peanut and jelly sandwich looked like it was cut like an average “uncrustables” sandwich. Our waiter also forgot which tea we ordered so had to come back with the menu and we had to ask for sugar as none of the tea gets served with any milk, lemon or sugar. As he only had 4 tables to cover we were surprised that our experience took us 1 hour and 40 minutes, as we awaited our check with no waiter visible. You can’t beat the view, but might be better off staying the night and/or enjoy the view from outside the hotel and bring your own sandwiches for a picnic on a canoe on the lake.

We had the most memorable 19th wedding anniversary celebration here. The staff was so wonderful and so kind. She was a tea expert and she gave us many great insights and recommendations. Everything from the service, the food, drinks, tea selections and desserts are all excellent. The view was spectacular. The staff made us feel so special. Thank you so much!! ♥️🥰

We were able to get last minute reservations for Afternoon Tea and we are so happy we got in! Food was delicious and service was great. The lovely view of Lake Louise was just icing on the cake.

Four of us had High Tea on June 6th at noon. The overall experience was wonderful!! The view of the Lake from the Fairview Bar area was majestic and breathtaking. The pastry selection was delicious and imaginative. Making it even more enjoyable was that they were able to prepare a gluten-free pastry selection for my wife. A truly unique experience; not to be missed. Enthusiastically recommended and we would return. Emily (our server) was personable, prompt, informative and a wonderful representative of the Fairmont.

Sara was a phenomenal waitress. She was very personable and attentive to our needs. She shared her personal experiences and inquired about my mother own employment at Lake Louise 55years ago.

Loved absolutely everything about our High Tea at The Fairmont!!! No detail was overlooked and the food and view were exceptional…absolutely recommend!!!

We had a lovely time at Afternoon Tea. Really enjoyed the food - everything was good but the white chocolate-saskatoon berry scone was particularly delicious! Great service and of course, a gorgeous view of Lake Louise. If you are visiting but not staying at the Chateau Lake Louise, it's a nice way to get away from the crowds and get a bit of the Chateau guest experience, since your Afternoon Tea reservation allows you to park on premises (although like all hotel guests, you have to pay) and gives you access to the "hotel guests only" areas of the hotel.
