Fahrenheit - Cleveland Ratings and Reviews
Fahrenheit does not disappoint in terms of food. Both the pork tenderloin and scallops were terrific entrees. My only complaint is that it is so darn dark in the dining room. Some small spotlights shine on tables, while other tables are left in darkness. The three of us needed to use the flashlight apps on our phones to read the menu - and check the doneness on two orders of pork. It's not "cozy" - it's annoying.
My husband and I came with our 3 teenage kids and all 5 of us had a blast and loved it. They loved that Chris, our amazing server, treated them like adults and not little kids and we loved how amazing he was in general. We were there with our family, some people were on dates, and other tables were there as large groups of friends and it looked like we all were having a great time! Food was amazing and it is our new favorite spot!
Service was good, food not so much. I tried the prime steak burger and it was so salty (even after taking the pancetta off) My husband ordered the organic chicken and it was cooked to perfection but bland. The best thing we had was the appetizer (Cleveland nachos) and the sangrias were amazing!!! Atmosphere was great and the servers were very nice and apologetic about the wait (which we understood bc it was dinner rush). We probably wouldn’t return for dinner but would for happy hour.
Great meal! Although a bit loud in the dining area and all the ingredients for 1 of our drinks wasn't available, the food was one of our best meals ever. Mussels and grilled avocado for appetizer and scallops and pork shank for dinner. Ian was a good waiter.
We are from out-of-town and Fahrenheit was recommended to us. It did not disappoint! Our server, Jeff was wonderful, very knowledgeable and paced courses perfectly. Some of the food in the main course wasn’t proper temperature and he made sure that all four entrees would be redone so would ate at the same time. The flavors and presentation were wonderful. Our daughter’s birthday dessert was accompanied by a bright sparkler! I would definitely return when we are in town again!
Service was not great at all---1.) Despite having a reservation, we waited 20 minutes to be seated 2.) our server was in such a terrible mood-he was not happy at all and we got the impression that it was due to the fact that we were the last table seated in his section for the night, so, we were also the last table he was visibly working to help. He was actually quite defensive when we gave him feedback telling him we could tell he was in a miserable mood. That was interesting.
Aside from these two very noticeably imperfect areas of the experience, we found the restaurant's lighting at our table to be very dark. We could barely read the menu and the server even commented that he thought the writing on the wine list was small. Trust me, I'm an experienced restaurant goer and this place in this restaurant was very dimly lit!
Fahrenheit is consistently good. Our salad (brussels sprout), appetizer (dates) and dinner (beef rib) were all delicious. Our only complaint is that they served us too quickly. We still had our salads when our dinner arrived. Our server, Lisa, was outstanding and personable and made it a fun experience.
I was very disappointed with the overall experience at this well respected restaurant. This restaurant has/had a very good reputation BUT I can say it did not live up to its reputation. The food was cold. The omelette was served without a key ingredient—chicken sausage. Eggs came under cooked with the egg whites still clear and runny. The traditional Bloody Mary was unnaturally sweet. The decor was tired and shabby with stained curtains, and carpet. There were significant crumbs and dirt left on the carpet. We waited 10-12 minutes before a server arrived to take a drink order. And the overall wait for food was way too long. So disappointed that this restaurant I once loved was so poor.
We were stuck in traffic and late for our reservation, as well as heading for a Saturday night show at Playhouse Square. The hostess and waitress could not have been more understanding. We had everything from cocktails to appetizers to our entrees swiftly and made it to the show on time! The food is always amazing. One of my favorite restaurants in Cleveland!
We were at Fahrenheit for a family birthday. We arrived early and they were able to seat us. We asked for several recommendations and got helpful directions on the wines and appetizers. Service was attentive yet not overbearing. We were with our two teenage kids and always appreciate when they are well-treated, and the staff was good at this. Our candle went out and our server re-lit it -- sounds silly, but little details like this are really endearing and show care. We'll definitely come back!
Got the halibut and pork shank. The pork shank was fantastic, the fish was way overdone. We didn't want to make a fuss about it during our dinner, but mentioned it for the kitchens sake at the time of the bill. The waitress apologized and offered us dessert, however we didn't want a dessert. It would have been nice to have been given a discount of some sort, but we were charged full price for everything. For a $34 piece of fish, it should be done right. Other than that, everything was good. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaraunt to others because of how the fish situation was dealt with, or not dealt with as it were. Thank you
This is one of our favorite restaurants for delicious highly skilled innovative food preparations. We love the food here. Our favorite the tuna and the shortribs for entrees. The spring rolls for an appetizer. Recently tried happy hour and it was very good also. You also have a wonderful staff. Hope to have many more wonderful dinners there.
I Took my wife for her Birthday dinner. We had heard great things about the menu especially the Short Ribs. My wife had the food week special with short ribs and I chose the Lobster Mac and cheese. The short rib meal was as good as described, the Lobster mac was not as exciting, as a matter of fact there was no Lobster in it, not even small pieces, just a lobster SAUCE. For $30 a plate, with no salad and no sides, I think a bowl of rigatoni noodles with an orange sauce over the top of it is crazy overpriced. I would go back but would choose a different meal.
Service was great I don't want to downplay our service we recieved
First visit here, and went because of the Restaurant Week special price menu. I got the Asian-influenced short ribs, and thought they were very tasty. My wife got the B&E chicken with risotto, and her chicken was extremely dry and lacked much flavor - the risotto was good though. We enjoyed our appetizers - the spring rolls and the flash-fried cauliflower. The desserts - a chocolate hazelnut mouse and red velvet cheesecake - were just OK. Overall, I liked the restaurant and would return, but wouldn't go out of my way to plan a repeat visit. The value we received for the restaurant week selections was very good, but probably wouldn't be worth the regular menu prices.
We got 2 appetizers, stuffed dates and grilled avocado and it was delicious. The sever was so nice and helpful witg recimmendations. The food here is incredible! We got 2 entrees, the beef short rib and filet mignon. If you love beef, definitely go for the short rib. It’s so tender it melts in your mouth. It explodes with flavor. I got the chocolate banana bread pudding for dessert and it was amazing! They make fabulous fresh mojitos.
The atmosphere is dim, quiet, and trendy. Romantic or great for a night out with friends. Would recommend to anyone.
We've dined at Fahrenheit a handful of times and each time we've been thoroughly pleased. This was a get-together with some out of town guests and they loved everything. We shared a number of appetizers and entrees; everything was wonderful. Our server was clearly new and a bit flustered, but aside from that we have zero issues with our experience.
Seated next to kitchen and restrooms so noise and traffic was unacceptable. Out of first choice of wine and the dinner special (how can you be out of a special at 8 PM on Saturday?). Entrees were slow to get to the table and were only lukewarm. Very disappointing - will not be back.
