Fahrenheit - Charlotte
Book your next event with us
It has been a few years since we have made our way to Farenheit. The food was good but each of our four meals came out at different times. The service was very slow and seemed inexperienced. Inside was nice and clean but the patio was worn out and dirty with plastic cups and paper napkins laying around. The sign at the host station says that appropriate dress is required but there were plenty of cut off shorts and bathing suit or halter tops. Not what I expected. Glad the food was good, had an amazing view and prices were reasonable.
I recently took my wife to Fahrenheit for brunch. The ambiance of the place is awesome. The view of the city is spectacular. That being said, our overall experience left a lot to be desired. My wife ordered a salad that had candied walnuts. As she is eating, she notices that they ran out of candied walnuts and replaced them with peanuts. She has a peanut allergy (it's no life-threatening but still). The manager comped our meal. On the way home, as we were talking, I then remembered that my burger came without bacon or tomato jam. I didn't notice while I ate. I will say that our server was great and the manager was also great and genuinely wanted to make things right.
That was my second time at Fahrenheit. The first time was to have drinks and food after work. I say this because I would still recommend the place for after work drinks and small plates. I am not sure that I would do brunch there again but it is a nice place to meet colleagues.
$50 steak was not good...not worth the money. The service was slow.
Great place, great vibe and beautiful setting. The delicious food was a bonus.
Its only like snaks and i think is better food and more special
The service was out of this world. The food was great. The restaurant had a very cool vibe with a great atmosphere and out of this world views. I will definitely go back.
Good food. Our waitress was amazing! Views were great. We would visit again.
Beautiful restaurant and view of the city. Inventive dishes.
The view of the city is spectacular. However, if you are looking for a roof top bar I would recommend Nuvole.
The food was ok....not worth the $$$.
It was so loud we couldn't enjoy our conversation.
Food and service were both great. Unfortunately, we were seated next to a table party of 15, which made it extremely challenging to hear ourselves talk.
Food was really just okay. The lobster mac and cheese was surprisingly flavorless and the crab and avocado toast could have used a sprinkle of salt or lemon. There wasn't anything that wowed us enough to come back, especially given the price. The service was decent but not memorable. I think the best part of the experience, aside from the minimal view from our table, were the personable valet employees, but that also cost $10 and the restaurant doesn't validate. Overall, not worth it given the plethora of incredibly tasty restaurants in uptown.
amazing view, kindly service, food good. a bit expensive but is valuable. u need to book in advace as i did this time, becouse if not u cannot find a table.
My first day visiting Charlotte we decided to go with a few recommendations and reserved the table at Fahrenheit. At our arrival, a hostess checked us in and sent us to get a drink at the bar even though we were just 7 minutes earlier; it was definitely not an easy task to get an eye contact with bartenders when we were trying to order our drinks. Half an hour later hostess never got back to us and we decided to order food at the bar. Despite this, I would definitely recommend this place since we definitely enjoyed food and ambiance; beautiful city view and the food is delicious!
Fahrenheit is a beautiful restaurant staffed by worn out almost broken people with cold food. I dont think this is standard at all, but the result of a Lord of the Rings long battle called Mother's day Brunch. Essentially what happens when you turn a specialized dish restaurant into a day long buffet.
I am a photographer, and I came initially due to the model who I was shooting wanted a rooftop shot. Sounded expensive but cool, so why not. I make the reservations and arrive at 5pm after a day of shooting.
We are guided through to our table, beautifully set and sit down. We wait and not much happens, I look around and realize it's self serve. I mention this to my model and a waiter nearby confirms. He comes over to fill our glass with water and spills a good amount of it on the table. Ok it happens, he doesn't really react to it and is telling us about the menu and wine. He finishes up and said that he should probably wipe that up. After he cleans that up we get up and are off to feast. After all this place is famous, the food will be wonderful.
The model is veganish but not afraid of meat and I am the opposite. We stack our plates accordingly. I had bacon, roast, quiche, waffle, and a green long thing with bacon sprinkled on it. Everything was cold and certainly was out for awhile. We nibbled on the food and discussed the wrongs. As we went for a hopeful second plate I chatted up and observed the staff. They were tired, well past burnt out and on the way to disgruntled. I know this from my personal work experience in retail, call centers, and food service. This bad way they were in carried into the food and left us with cold uncared for food that likely was made that morning.
My feedback is there are things that went wrong with the excution of a buffet in a place like this. For 153.77 I got spilled water, cold food, worn out staff, and a incredible view. I did get some great shots! Give them a try, just not on a buffet event day.
Mother’s Day Brunch
Never been to Fahrenheit before. My wife has been wanting to go, as she heard there are great views. So we went. For Mothers Day.
-I didn't know the restaurant was in a Hyatt Place Hotel (my bad. poor research)
-Secondly, mothers day was a buffet. (again, my bad, should have researched more thoroughly)
The room was a mix of a day care/geriatric/ ill mannered "humans"....It was buffet style so, a lot of sharp elbows while attempting to plate a shrimp. I've never been to a Golden Corral, but my guess is Fahrenheit offers up a similar vibe, but Golden Corral is probably much less than $170 US Dollars, for two.
So yes to the view. No, we won't be back
Best Brunch Ever!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys great food!!!
We went to Fahrenheit for Mothers Day. The waiter was quick and seemed to be in a rush. The waiter told us we would have to go to the bar for mimosas but it seemed like all the other waiters would bring the mimosas to their guest upon request. I thought that it was a bit rude to greet the guest that you will be waiting on with the price of the brunch. I have been to many upscale restaurants and I have never been greated by the waiter with the price of the meal. The food selection was minimal. They did not offer a variety of vegetables. It was asparagus or salad. The best part of Fahrenheit was the view. Window seating was supposed to be first come first served. This is not true. There were several tables that were marked with a sign that read MOM. When I asked the hostess could we be seated at one of these tables I was told these tables are not available. Later on I saw other guest escorted to these tables and it was obvious that they were there to celebrate Mother's Day just like we were. I really feel that Fahrenheit has the potential to be a great restaurant with adjustments to their menu and retraining with hostess and waiter staff.
Fahrenheit is a spectacular restaurant! The views are so beautiful at night showcasing the best of Uptown Charlotte. Both the bar and food menus are interesting and creative. The outdoor area provides the perfect landscape for picture taking. My only suggestion would be to encourage the bartender's to be a bit more interactive with the clients, this is a great opportunity to showcase the drinks on the menu and that opportunity was really lost. I would definitely go here again and bring friends and guests. You won't be disappointed.
For special occasions only. Everything was excellent except the price.
Beautiful dining experience. Beautiful view of Charlotte..
2nd time there. The best thing Farenheit has going for it is the captivating views of the cityscape, especially at dusk. The food and service this time were a notch below the previous visit. The manager had to get involved to get our filet order right but he did the correct thing and took that off our bill. We'll be back and be hopeful that the level will improve.
The food was excellent! The view from the patio was wonderful! It was a little more casual then what expected! We were hoping for a little bit more romance but we did not know what to expect never being there before.
We have recommended you several times and all our friends have had a great evening there. Steve is a first class manager and has always looked after me and my family very well.
I found the service and attitude of the staff wonderful, the ambiance of the site refreshing. Beautiful view, great cuisine, excellent flavors. Really good drinks. Just stellar day for my girlfriends birthday.
The food was delicious! Best part of the night. There was a mishap with our reservations but they were otherwise accommodating. Only gave a 3 star because the inside vibe did not match the outside balcony vibe. The outside vibe was too casual.
Great food, great people!! Very Friendly service! We will deff go back and visit!!
Large private events created very high noise levels and patio reserved/inaccessible.
Our first visit will be our last. I don’t care how good the view is, the food is way overpriced, ambiance is so-so & the noice level was painful. Surprised they stay in business.
The view was spectacular, sadly that was the best part of the evening. The noise level was off the chart. It was our anniversary and we barely spoke 4 words to each other because we could not hear what the other was saying across the table, it was that noisy.
The food was ok. For the prices charged I was expecting fantastic. My pepper crusted ahi tuna was the most tender piece of fish which sat atop a wasabi sauce. Sounds great right. Very little flavor. I was very disappointed. My husband had the lobster pasta. He said it was good... just good. For $42 I would expect better than just good.
I will admit the avocado crab toast appetizer was very good.
Saving grace - The service was very good.
IF we would go back, I would return for drinks, appetizers, and the view.
Service was very slow. Price was very high for the quality of the food.
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening
Great and new experience!
The waitress whispered to us and, when asked to explain the menu a little louder, didn’t do it. There were multiple party tables in the dining area being as loud as possible at 8pm. The food was amazing! The waitress hurried us to clear the table and leave even though we wanted to hang out by the window and have one last drink. She suggested we go wait at the bar for service, which we did, and didn’t fare well. I’d recommend this place for drinks and food, but not service at all. The drink and food servers should be replaced.
Really great ambiance! Service was generally pretty good; had to wait longer than expected with a reservation, but that didn’t distract from the overall service level. Would recommend to anyone!
Atmosphere, views, service and food are amazing. Coffee needs work
I was going to propose here an actually had to cancel my plans because of how bad the service was. I could not even get a drink from the bar. Got a horrible seat from the reservation so I had to go outside to wait for another table to open up. The atmosphere is great with a nice view. But that was all that I could give great remarks for. This was a very frustrating experience for a supposed to be great date. My girl was ready to go as well as I spent all my time trying to get anyone's attention to get a drink for us.
Fahrenheit was amazing because of the view and the food. The food was SO good but portions are insanely big. Their “small plates” not small plates at all. We probably made the mistake of going on a Friday night where it was insanely busy and loud. Also service was not great. We had what appeared to be a very important table behind us (at least they were very important to our waitress as she couldn’t dote on them enough and service for them was fast and prompt) and we were forgotten about most of the night which was a bit annoying especially since we were there celebrating a special event also. It killed the mood.
Scallops main course and the desert milkshake delicious. My server was amazing. Perfect night to be there.
