Comfort Food
The menu and quality atmosphere at Fadó will reset your expectation around what it means to eat at an Irish Pub. The menu starts with a broad range of snacks for sharing; top sellers here include Salmon Bites (we think it's the best Snack ever), Harp Battered Fish Tacos and the Big Soft Pretzel. There are a number of burgers and sandwiches. Favorites include the Fadó Pub Burger (add the egg), the Black Bean Burger, our Signature Reuben and a Slow Cooked Lamb Dip. The star of our entrée section is our Fish and Chips which uses sustainably caught cod from the deep waters off of Iceland. We contract with just three vessels to bring us this tasty fish. You’ll also see Irish staples like Shepherd’s Pie and Corned Beef and Cabbage. There is also an ever rotating selection of Seasonal specials using in-season ingredients and flavors. Enjoy a wonderful meal (and a few drinks) in an environment where everything was built in Ireland and sent to the U.S. where you see it today.

was there on Mother's Day but we frequently dine there when we are going to concerts at the Kimmel Center. The food is always great but there are times when the noise is a little overwhelming, but not enough so that we would not come back.

Food was good but service was ok at best considering it wasn’t busy at all. Was my first time there and was disappointing for a center city establishment. May go back at some point but wouldn’t go out of my way to go there.

They were out of several menu options. Our server was not friendly and almost made us feel foolish for ordering items that had run out. Food was good, but there are better options out there.

The only thing I would have wanted to make my experience even better was some Irish music. Lack of Irish music kind of killed the ambiance for me.

They have fun cocktails like a Pickleback (Shot of Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey with a cold pickle brine chaser) It's the future shooter. Started out with the fried goat cheese - and dipping it in the jalapeño infused honey was very good. We shared the Irish stew special and the Shephard's Pie. Even though these filled us up we had to try the bread pudding. the pub food is good and the atmosphere lively!

The food was very tasty. Love teh Shepherd's pie. The service was average. It was a little loud as their was a live band, and I am a little old, so....would have loved it 20 years ago ;-).

The service and atmosphere were both upbeat & happy! The food was unexpectedly good for bar food and the time of day & bustle. Such a convenient location to the Kimmel and something for everyone from grandma down to the grandkids.

This was a great place to have lunch before the show at the Merriam Theater. The atmosphere was very nice with dark wood and seating groupings. Loved the light strands in the windows. The fried goat cheese appetizer was fabulous as was the burger with the fried egg.

I don't know how many times we have walked past this pub, but we decided to make reservations for St. Valentine's day. We got the seats we wanted, the food and drink were excellent, and we will certainly return!

A birthday brunch before a 1 pm concert performance. Great location, close to theater. Only negative—and we DID know this was an Irish pub—was the noise level at 11 am on a Sunday morning. But a rugby match was on and the guys in the bar were having a great time. So, really no complaint.

My husband and I had tickets to a 1:00 pm show at the Academy of Music. We stopped here for an early lunch before the play. It was a cold January day and they sat us by the fireplace, which was very nice. It's just around the corner from the Academy of Music so it was a short walk afterward. The food was delicious and the environment was very comfortable. I highly recommend the "Salmon Bites"....delicious.

Great time at Fadó. The food was excellent and the service was courteous and prompt. I made a reservation on open table for 3 and we were a little early. It was no problem and we were seated in a charming spot by the fireplace. Ambience is great and really it appears there’s not a bad spot in the place. Reasonably priced drinks with Harp on Tap!!! Very nice place to go after a show or to hang out, or have dinner. Very happening bar. TVs on to play the games but not obtrusive. Shepherds pie and fish and chips good. A definite winner!

We had a late lunch at Fado before going to a performance of the Nutcracker. The food is absolutely delicious! My sister always orders the fish and chips (outstanding!), but I am a little bit more adventurous. This time I ordered the chicken and butternut squash pot pie which was awesome! We enjoyed the yummy flatbread starter too. We were happy to see that Fado took reservations for Sunday afternoon because it's always busy and we really wanted to eat there. Can't wait to go back!

Food, drinks, and service were outstanding. Only downside was we were seated next to the bar where a large group of extremely loud drunk men were and they kept coming to our table and interrupting our meal with inappropriate comments and conversation.

Went for a quick bite before a Philadelphia Pops Performance. The lighting is brutal, need your cell phone light to read the menu. The server had to hunt down the fall specials' menu and made herself quite scarce. Had to ask numerous times for our check after mentioning we were short on time. The only positive, was the food. It tasted good and was served as requested.

We arrived right as they opened and were seated promptly. Service was a little bit slow, but I’m not sure if they’re were enough servers right at the start of their day. We ordered drinks, but then a couple of us were told the one on the menu wasn’t available “because the blue berries weren’t bought” which was a bummer because the drink sounded yummy and our last minute choice ended up not being very good. The food was very good though, with perfect portion sizes. And their desserts were amazing!
