Oddly quiet on a rainy/snowy Friday evening, but the ambiance was perfect for the weather. Great deal on bottomless beer for $15 during happy hour, which was a generous 5-8 pm. Superb version of a Sazerac cocktail, also half price during happy hour. All 5 in our party enjoyed their meals, and the Guinness mayo dip was a particular hit. We plan to be back!
We met at Fado before enjoying a night out at Howl at the Moon next door. Our server was delightful, the beer was cold, the food was first rate and the embrace was relaxing and chill...we sat near the fireplace...COZY!
Thursday night is trivia night and the outdoor dining is even more piercingly loud than the indoor dining. It's great if you're into trivia!
This was our favorite place to eat on our vacation.
...rather than eat here. We had brunch. Painfully slow service, errors, lousy coffee. Food OK, but heavy and greasy even for Irish fare. I like it as a bar only.
We are from the north side of the Denver metro area. I reserved a table for 7 at Fado's. My family and I had a wonderful time as we stayed in the "snug". (It was a very quaint little area set aside from the rest of the restaurant.) Jennifer, our waitress, was very cordial and hospitable attending to our every need. We all ordered about the same thing: fish and chips, chicken strips, and a chicken sandwich. The food was prepared swiftly and it all tasted yummy! No one in our group drank, but it was still a good time; a very family-friendly place! We definitely would come back for another "city excursion"!
The fish and chips were horrible, the worst I have ever had and a real rip off. It had no fish taste what so ever and reminded me of frozen fish sticks. Shameful for an Irish pub to serve such a disappointing dish. I would never eat there again but would go for drinks. Also had the corned beef and cabbage which was alright. They do not have a hostess so I wasn't so sure I would even get my points for my reservation' at least they came through on that.
We went to Fado to watch the USA beat Japan and take the Soccer World Cup home. It was a very pleasant experience. Table was reserved as requested, food was very good, and the service was excellent.
This is a fun restaurant and bar. It was kind of dark so the menu was hard to read. Other than that the shepard's pie and the fish and chips were awesome.
We didn't know that Thursday night involved blasting music out of speakers but it made conversation impossible. We don't go downtown much and have only been to Fado's once before. I don't know if I would go back unless I knew that it wouldn't be so loud.
Based on other reviews, we expected more than was delivered. This place is probably great for game day drinks. We went for dinner hoping to find an authentic Irish menu. Won't go back.
Took friends there for a special occasion. None had ever been there before and they all loved it! The food was amazing and the service fantastic!!! We will all be back for sure!!!
We went on a Sunday afternoon so there wasn't a big scene which was ok for what we were doing. However just because it isn't crowded doesn't mean you don't need the staff to support those few patrons that are there. The server seemed either overwhelmed by the few tables she had or just not into it that day. It was difficult to get her attention and she wasn’t timely on most of our requests. We are a pretty laid back group. We didn’t let this hinder our good time. The bartender assisted our server on several occasions and was excellent at getting our drinks to us in a quick and efficient manner. The food was great and loved the happy hour options.
Great Happy Hour! Will go back!
We had a great time at Fado's! My boyfriend's pulled lamb french dip was absolutely fabulous. Our reservations went off without a hitch. I was a little disappointed in my chicken panini, in that it was fairly tasteless, but the rest of the food was so good I wouldn't hold it against them. It was a small venue for the band that was playing, so dancing was a problem. I would recomend getting bands that draw a crowd more appropriate to the size of the venue next time. Overall great experience!
Fun bar scene. Food just so-so. Corned beef sandwich was somewhat uninspired.
